Reach for the Stars with Colorado Craft Company...

Hello friends!

Today Colorado Craft Company is celebrating the one year anniversary of their Anita Jeram collection of stamps with a release of four new stamp sets. The theme of this release is Reach For the Stars and do you know what's cuter than Anita's mice? BIG Anita mice! 3C got these mice about as big as they could on three 6" x 6" size clear stamp sets. They are perfect for making adorable gifts to share, they will work well for framing them, making wrapping paper, decorating gift bags, etc... and of course cards!

And while we aren't hosting an official blog hop there are still plenty of chances to win. The first chance to win is a very special giveaway of an autographed bookplate and the book Guess How Much I Love You to a randomly selected stamper from all of those that place orders within these next four days, 20th - 23rd! The second chance to win is one commenter on this blog post will randomly be selected to win the new 2x3 Dream Big mini set. As always, the more participant's posts you visit, the more chances to win and the list of participants can be found on the 3C blog. The giveaway ends on October 23rd at midnight mountain daylight time and winners will be announced on the 3C blog on the 25th.

The extra large size of the images on these new sets make them perfect for slimline cards and that's just what I created. I ended up stamping mice from two of the sets, Twinkle Little Star and Falling Star so that it looked like the one up top is reaching down to pass the star to the mouse below. Once the mice and stars were colored using Copic markers I masked them all off and used my Copic airbrush system to create a galaxy like background, complete with distant stars that are thinned down acrylic paint splattered on using a paint brush. Once they dried, I stamped the sentiment between the mice and added white heat embossing powder to really make it pop. Simple yet super cute!

Ok then, enjoy checking out the new release and good luck!

Thanks for posting the copic markers you used. I am starting to purchase them and it is helpful to see what others use. This layout is amazing and the background is very striking. I love the way you used multiple mice in the layout and, in combo with the sentiment, make the viewer become emotionally and psychologically engaged.
