Livin' the dream...

Olo!

I went digging into the pile of scenes that I keep sitting on my desk, looking for a fun summer scene to color up yesterday. When I came across these Greeting Farm cuties I knew I had a winner. Can you believe this has been waiting on my desk ever since the Beach digi set release back in 2022... that's crazy! The scene is built around the tiki hut and tiki torches in the Beach digi set, while the characters are pieced together from a handful of other digi sets. Ian is from the Dress Up Bedtime set, while his outfit is from the Birthday Boys set. Anya is from the Dress Up Winter set, while her outfit if from the Summer Dress Up digi set. The drinks on the bar and in their hands, as well as the flower in her hair can all be found in the Beach set too. With the tiki torches lit up I chose to give them a colorful sunset sky, hinting at the hot summer night to come. It feels so great to finally get these two onto a card after all this time and it is a great reminder of all the fun TGF digi sets that I have in my craft stash. I can definitely see some more scene building in my future.  :)

Oceans of love...

Hey there! 

The theme for this month's challenge at The Greeting Farm is MerMay, so of course I had to play along. I was just waiting for my new release order to arrive with Mermaid Anya 3. I inked Anya up as soon as I got her and I added some more shells, pearls and a giant starfish to the large shells already decorating her hair, turning it into a crown. To speed up the card making process I pulled one of the A2 card front scenes from the paper pack coming to Sweet November Stamps this weekend. I color matched Mermaid Anya 3 to the colors in this background, then fussy cut and glued her to the paper. The end result is pretty seamless and oh so cute!

I've been wanting to use some of the older itty bitty images from The Greeting Farm on the Postage Collage dies for a while now and MerMay gave me the perfect opportunity to make that happen. I pulled stamps from the Mermaid Fun, Mermaid Grotto, Little Mermaids, Minkie Mermaids and Mermaid Kisses sets, creating all of these various mini scenes on one card. I colored them up in bright, happy colors and then added all of the postage stamping using the Fantasy Post Marks set from Sweet November Stamps. This card turned out even cuter than I had hoped and I'm so glad that I finally made it happen.  :)

Be a unicorn...

TGIF! 

I'm playing along in this month's challenge at The Greeting Farm and the theme this time is 'rule of threes'. These OG unicorns will forever have my heart and this particular cutie is from the Magical Day set. I paired her with some flowers from the Bouquet set to help create an enchanting meadow for this little unicorn to live in. I pulled the colorful striped paper before I started coloring so that I could color match back to it. To meet the requirement of the challenge I added three flowers as the final embellishments on the card. Now that I've colored up one, I've got a few more ideas that I want to do with the other sweet unicorns, sooner rather than later.  :)

Hey, hey!

Today is the last day to pre-order the Big Birthday kit at The Greeting Farm for the discounted price of $42. Once the kits arrive at the end of the month any extras will be up for purchase in the store but at the regular price of $50. There are five cute Anyas and two Ians included in this kit, as well as a bunch of party accessories and four sentiments.

My first card features this pretty Anya wearing her fancy new party dress. She feels so special on her big day as the confetti falls all around and the shiny balloons float overhead.
