It's another Scenic Saturday on the Bellarific blog and summer is heating up with a Christmas in July twist. The stylish Uptown Girl Wren and her Wreath has gotten a make-over just in time to enjoy her summer holiday abroad.
To give Wren her new look, I wiped the ink away from the wreath she is originally holding before stamping the image on the card stock. This left a blank space in the hem of her skirt and her upper thigh, so I grabbed a .01 black multi-liner pen and sketched in the missing line work. I was also left with a hand that needed something to hold so I sketched in a simple bag decorated with a stylish scarf. With Wren's new look complete, I then masked her off and stamped the Sketchy Corner Backdrop behind her and pushed more to the left hand side of the card. This left me just enough room to hint at the Mediterranean sea off in the distance. The final touch of summer time flair was the zesty, yet simple, lemon print that I colored onto her pretty sun dress. Now Wren looks ready to hit the shops before heading down to the sandy beach.
