Happy Birthday!

Mornin' friends!

Le sob! Le weep! Le boo hoo! If you hadn't guessed from all that crying and carrying on, yes, I watched my recording of Sunday's episode of Downton. Bawling like a baby doesn't even begin to describe it. And I really shouldn't have watched it right before bed because there is nothing worse than waking up with puffy eyes the next morning. Seriously, how do you explain to people that a television show is the reason you look a mess without them thinking you must be crazy? ;)

Alrighty, since there isn't much I can do about my current appearance I might as well move on to today's card. I altered the new Puppy Love Mae from Some Odd Girl by trimming the puppy out of her hands and replacing it with a present found on the Gifty Gwen stamp set. This created a more generic looking birthday card which is what I was going for. All the papers are scraps and there really isn't much more to this card than that. Not a lot of embellishments and what not... but the bunting pattern was so busy that anything I tried adding just made it look completely cluttered. Sometimes less is more I guess. :)

Ok, lots to do today.
Catch ya on the flip side!

Amy this is such a cute card. I love it when you use the Odd Girl Stamps. I don't have any yet, but I think their adorable. :O) I am soooo glad I didn't spill about Downton Abbey. I just could not make Jerry understand why I was crying, so when I emailed you at the very last moment I thought I better not tell you why. lol..... So so sad. I just LOVED her. Have a great day. I off to work and hopefully filling better today. Hugs, Lisa

This is really beautiful, Amy! Love how you've cropped the image and replaced the puppy with the present – perfectly done, because I wouldn't even noticed it! Fabulous coloring, too!
Hugs, Anja

PS: and I know too well what it looks like to wake up with puffy eyes because of watching one of those heart-shattering TV episodes the night before ;o)
