Good morning!
Let me tell you, it really has been pure sunshine around here this past week. Our highs have been in the mid to high 80s and I finally had to cave and turn the AC on... craziness! If the water wasn't still so freezing cold I would be tempted to jump in the lake after work, LOL! At least it should make for a pretty amazing Apple Blossom parade and festival in town this weekend... just can't forget the sunscreen. ;)
Come to think of it, this new May Day Birgitta looks like she is ready to walk the parade. Isn't she just the cutest? I love her short 'do and that bouquet of hers is a lot of fun to color. Of course I did mine to match the colors of the Vintage Bliss paper, which is still a recent fave of mine. Though it may be replaced soon when Simple Stories releases their new summer line, LOL, I know... I'm hopeless! Anwho, back to my card, it's really pretty simple since the paper design did most of the work for me. All I added was the sentiment, twine, and the wood veneer butterflies. Those butterflies are cool but I really hope that Studio Calico makes some teeny tiny ones for us card makers soon... fingers crossed!
Alrighty, I'm off for another busy day but don't forget that you still have until tonight to get your name added to the May Fairwee candies and winners will be announced in tomorrow's post. Also all of the May release stamps are now available for purchase in the ATS store.
Later gators! :)

How cute would this be as a thank you card to a flower girl? Love the string you added to the butterfly bodies, but I agree they need to make some smaller ones too.

Hi Amy,, your card is just adorable and I so agree it would be wonderful if they made those butterflys for card makers. Not that they are super cute with your card and this beautiful paper. :O) I hope you have a great weekend and enjoy Apple Blossom. Can you believe I grew up in Spokane for most of my life and then moved to Moses Lake in 1990 and I have never ever even been to Apple Blossom in Wenatchee? Yes, I have lived a sheltered life. lol... Anyway...we have been in the 90s and yesterday I found out how far you can push my new car on gas while waiting to pick the M&Ms up at school. My poor Dad had to come rescue us so I could go buy gas(with the money I was goint to get it with after I picked them up) and get gas. It was HOT! Thank God for Subway being air conditioned and letting the kids stay there to work on homework until we got it all taken care of. :O) It turned out ok, so life is life. Have a great weekend. Hugs, Lisa
Amy, I LOVE the idea with the string around the butterfly wood veneers! Genious! I'll definitely be doing that the next time I use mine :) Thanks!! - Trista
