Warm Winter Wishes...

Hey there!

It's kinda hard to believe that we are here at the final day of 2024 already. What a year it has been, filled with a mix of good times, health scares, the loss of beloved pets and plenty of coloring and creating. The highs and lows are a part of life and I definitely feel like I've had my fair share of both in the past twelve months. Here's to looking ahead with hope for whatever 2025 has in store for us.

This last card is another faux postcard... what can I say, I'm slightly addicted, LOL! I stamped this happy snowman and squirrel from the Snow Buddy Like You set onto the Postcard pierce plate from The Greetery. I added lots of little postage accents from the Postal Modern and Pretty Postmarks sets that are also from The Greetery, while the postage stamp is decorated with a cute squirrel from the Bountiful Blessings: Apple Harvest set. Once everything was colored and I airbrushed in the soft blue background I added some large decorative snowflakes throughout the design by stamping them and heat embossing in white. I love how everything comes together to create a pretty winter post card that is sure to brighten the snowiest of days.  :)

Here's to a creative and colorful New Year my friends!

Let's take a snow day...

Good morning!

This little cutie from the Downhill Dashers set at Sweet November Stamps was colored up during my final Live of 2024 over on my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page. This adorable kiddo is originally a girl stamp but by wiping the ink away from the curls behind her head before stamping, I was able to transform her into a bundled up boy for this card. In the background I added a scene stamp from the older Winterscapes: Horizon Lines set to help tell the story and then we proceeded in coloring an overcast, snowy grey day. It was such a great way to wrap up a year of coloring Lives and I can't wait to start it all back up on January 11th.  :)

Have a great week!

To my beastie...

Olo!

I made this card weeks ago for the Wonderful Winter YouTube hop with a scene coloring video shared on the Sweet November Stamps YouTube channel. Now I'm finally getting around to sharing it here on the ol' blog. This cute yeti and penguin from the Baby 'Bominable Winter Wonders set are happily making snow angels together as the trees from the retired Snow Angels set rise up into the cold, clear sky all around them. You can tell that there is nothing they enjoy more than some freshly fallen snow to laugh and play in.

Toodles!

Snow Buddy Like You...

Hey, hey!

Here are a pair of happy snowmen from the Snow Buddy Like You set that I colored during the release weekend Lives over on my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page. I paired them with the Birch Trees Horizon Lines and then we proceeded to color them into a winter sunrise scene. It was a great opportunity to show how you can create a snowy scene without using any of the traditional blues and greys to create the snow. I hope you all are getting to experience a bit of sunshine yourselves, even if the weather outside is chilly cold.

Take care my friends!

Don't Flurry...

Hello friends!

Last Thursday we wrapped up the final Scene Progression Break Down video series of 2024, over on the Sweet November Stamps Youtube channel. This one was all about coloring a snow covered hillside for these playful Downhill Dashers. Through the course of the videos we captured the the speed and motion of these kiddos as they race through the fresh powder and played with some bright, fun outerwear to really make them pop against the winter backdrop.

A new series will be starting up in the new year, making this the perfect time to get caught up on all of the coloring videos we did this year.

Toodles!  :)

Be Jolly...

Hey, hey!

This adorable little bundled up bunny from the Signs of the Season set at Sweet November is here to wish everyone a happy Christmas Eve day and a reminder to be jolly today and everyday. I paired him with the Birch Trees Horizon Lines to help set the perfect snowy winter scene then sketched in the smaller pine trees by hand so they would look way off in the distance. Now I'm sure it is back to the burrow for this little fella, where he can take care of any last minute preparations before Santa arrives tonight. I hope that all of my fellow crafty friends are getting to enjoy the magic and wonder of the season.

Big Christmas hugs!
