A big yay...

Hey friends!

I can't believe the new May release of Anita Jeram stamps are already out at Colorado Craft Company and I haven't even gotten around to inking up any of the April stamps that I got last month. Well I couldn't let that stand so yesterday I sat down at my craft desk and stamped up this cute pair of mice from the For Dad set. That little guy is having so much fun belly bouncing on his pop and dad doesn't seem to mind one bit. I enjoyed the challenge of coloring on kraft with my last CCC card so this time around I grabbed some natural card stock from Bazzill to color on. It isn't as dark as kraft but it has little flakes and fibers in it that give the scene a soft, diffused look which is pretty cool. The sentiment was borrowed from the Proud of You set that also released last month and I think it suits these two quite nicely.  :)

 Have a good one!

Have a wonderful day...

Good morning!

I'm back with another card using stamps from the super sweet A Happy Little Place collection that recently released at Purple Onion Designs. This time around I kept the scene simple with only Anna, the bicycling mouse and the Countryside and Stone Wall background stamps. She looks so happy puttering down that dirt lane, no grand adventure ahead just a pleasant ride for the pure joy of it. I tried to capture the look of morning sun cresting the hillside to shine down over little Anna, promising that wonderful day ahead that the sentiment mentions. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day too!

Just mermazing...

Hello again!

Yesterday Sweet November Stamps released the Teen Self Esteem digi collection in conjunction with the National Teen Self Esteem Instagram hop that is going on. Jasmin Oliver is the host of this hop which is a way for us to celebrate confidence building in the younger generation, who face so much pressure in these social media saturated times. She has enlisted an amazing group of crafty companies to participate as sponsors and there are a ton of awesome prizes up for grabs for those who participate, so be sure to check it out.

Because MerMay is also still going strong we thought it would be fun to put together a collection of young girls spending time on the beach that can then also be transformed into cute mermaids. These Teen Self Esteem girls/mermaids are Charlie, Lexie and Kumi. The collection also includes a set of three digital sentiments that tie into this whole theme mash up as well.

Yesterday I colored this fun scene Live over on my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page using the human version of Lexie and the mermaid version of Charlie. Because I wanted Charlie to look like she was popping out of the waves but still wanted to see more of her tail I actually cropped and flipped Kumi's fin and placed it behind Charlie. After a bit of a rough start with Facebook being a stinker and a sticky marker, I was finally able to get into my coloring groove and create this fun beach scene with the help of everyone there. You can check it all out here if you like.  :)

Later gators!

Always be yourself...

Hello friends!

Today's digital release is a special one as Sweet November Stamps was asked to participate in an Instagram Hop in honor of National Teen Self Esteem day. It's a way for us to celebrate confidence building in the younger generation which faces so much pressure in these social media saturated times.

First up is Kumi and I have used both versions of her in this card to create a story of a young girl dreaming of what it would be like to be a mermaid. The sentiment from the Empowering Sentiment Pack is a playful way of reinforcing that story while still encouraging the recipient to embrace all the wonderful quirks and characteristics that make them special.

Next we have Lexie in her mermaid version happily playing with Hydro deep beneath the waves. She's also been paired with another one of the new Empowering Sentiments

Finally we also have Charlie confidently hanging out on the beach with little Gully. Another great new sentiment is letting her know just how special she really is.

Now be sure to go check out the Friends of Sweet November Stamps group on Facebook for even more Teen Self Esteem inspiration from Caitlin, Melissa, Tee and our very special guest who put this all together, Jasmin Oliver! I will also be coloring Lexie and Charlie Live later this morning at 11am PST on my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page and I hope to see you there!

You can also find us on Instagram @sweetnovemberstamps and don't forget to use the #sweetnovemberstamps any time you share a card or project using SN images so we can see all of your beautiful makes!
