Easter Blessings...

Hey there!

Once again I'm running behind this morning so this will be another quick post. It's been ages since I've colored up one of the lovely digital images from A Day For Daisies so I figured my current Easter card kick was the perfect excuse to print out this darling Chick in Pants and get her on a card. There is just something about this chirpy little chick in her frilly bloomers that tickles me and makes me smile. I made sure to color in the blades of grass nice and tall behind her to try and help sell her small size. I don't know about you but I think she looks ready for this Sunday's festivities. ;)

Later gators!

You make me smile from ear to ear...

Hello, hello!

I have to admit that I just realized Easter Sunday is this weekend and I have barely made any cards for it. It's certainly not for a lack of cute stamps just waiting to get on cards, for some reason I was thinking there was another week to go. So now I have to make some tough choices on who will make it on a card this year and who will have to wait. The super cute SY Easter Bunnies from MFT caught my eye, especially when I grabbed the SY Background Builder to help me quickly put together a pastoral spring scene. There is just something special about these sweet Stacey Yacula critters, I always want to hug and squeeze on them, LOL!

Alrighty, well I will be back tomorrow with another Easter card... see ya then!

Hello Spring...

Good morning!

My schedule at work and home has been quite busy lately but I made some time to color up another one of the darling Dreamerland kids from the February release for my card today. This one is called A Walk in the Field and I think she is just as cute as can be. The original image has her surrounded by a handful of these flowers that reminded me a lot of Grape Hyacinths but because I really wanted her to be immersed in the field of flowers I ended up drawing in a few more. I stuck with a very pretty, pastel color palette for this spring themed card and grabbed a large sentiment from Hello Bluebird to tie everything together.

Well, sorry to post and run but there isn't much help for it. Have a good one!

It happens...

It’s the 15th, and the APRIL RELEASE is now available for purchase in The Greeting Farm Store. Our first set is called FEELS 3 and it piggy backs onto our previous Feels sets, featuring more adorable little girls full of all sorts of different emotions. Our next set, HAPPY TRAVELS has us all dreaming of a tropical vacation get-away with beautiful, sandy beaches and fancy drinks. Our last set called TINY PLANS SM is full of the cutest little girls ready to capture different aspects of life through social media!

To celebrate our release, we are having a short BLOG HOP!! You have until APRIL 18th at 12pm CST/1pm EST to leave your comments on each Designer's Blog and The Greeting Farm Blog. The winner will receive all 3 stamp sets!

TGF Design Team:

This is a short hop, and definitely worth playing along! Of course, if you can't wait for the hop to be over, you can purchase these stamps HERE.

For my card today I am revisiting the Feels 3 set because when I was pairing up and stamping out all these little characters, these two in particular captured my imagination and tickled my funny bone. The looks on their faces brought to mind the misfortune of getting splattered by bird poo and once I saw that there was no un-seeing it so I just had to translate that vision into a funny card. Don't ask me why they are still hanging out under those birds but it looks like another accident is about to happen. ;)

Alright, I won't keep you any longer. Enjoy the hop and have a wonderful week!

Olo!

So very quickly, I'm wrapping up my new Stamping Bella release cards with this one featuring the Tiny Townies Ring Around The Rosie which is also available at 7 Kids as well. I like to imagine these little besties are forming the foundation of a friendship that will stand the test of time.

Alrighty then, I hope to see you back here tomorrow for the TGF blog hop and release celebration!

What were we thinking...

Howdy folks!

Did you see that 7 Kids just got in some of the new Stamping Bella release? All three of the fun Tiny Townie stamps are in the store now and for my card today I'm featuring the Tiny Townies Playing Hopscotch. The grade school I attended had permanent hopscotch games painted onto the asphalt outside and I can remember spending entire recesses playing it with my friends. So of course I was inspired to color a school off in the distance when I was working on this scene. They definitely look like they are having a carefree afternoon with nothing on their to-do list but get back to class when the bell rings. That's where the sentiment that is included with them really comes into play and is way more relatable than I would like to admit, LOL! ;)

Smiles across the miles...

Hey there!

We've made it to the third and final day of April previews at The Greeting Farm and we are wrapping things up with the Tiny Plans SM set. Just like the first two Tiny Plans sets, this one includes 12 brand new cuties and these ones are perfect for planning out all your social media tasks and scheduling. Not into the whole planner thing? No worries, I'm strictly a card maker myself and there is plenty of fun to be had with these tiny girlies, especially when you pair them up with each other or other stamp sets. For my card today I paired three of these social media mavens together to create a scene celebrating all of the wonderful online friendships that we form in this awesome hobby of ours.  :)

Ok, time to head on over to the TGF blog for even more Tiny Plans SM fun from myself and my fellow Farmers. And don't forget that the entire release will be available for purchase on Monday the 15th, as well as a chance to win all three of the April stamp sets by participating in the blog hop!

The best version of you...

Hello!

It's that time again, time to start previews for the newest Greeting Farm release! This month we are introducing three new clear sets and the first one up is the Feels 3. Just like the previous two Feels sets this one includes a cute little gal in eight different exaggerated expressions as well as the coordinating emotion sentiments to go with. For my card today I took three of the gals and put them into little Polaroid dies to make it look kind of like goofy pictures from a photo booth. The fun papers help further that theme and provided me with all the great colors to match my Copics to. The Feels 3 will be available for purchase on the 15th along with the other two new sets.

Now be sure to head on over to the TGF blog to see what my fellow Farmers have created using the new Feels 3 set (along with two other cards that I have made). Then check back here tomorrow for day two of previews. :)

Making memories...

Hey there!

Did you see that the new Stamping Bella release went live yesterday? There are 37 new images now available in the store, including gnomes, curvy girls, oddball animals, florals and some super cute Tiny Townies. For my card today I'm featuring the new Tiny Townies Playing Jacks. Anyone else here have memories of playing this game with friends during recess? I sure do, though I can't say that I was very good at it... I can't remember ever getting past four LOL! I thought it would be cool to color these two BFFs into a city park scene with the tall buildings filling the skyline in the background. Even amid the hustle and bustle of the city kids can always find time to just be kids. :)

Alrighty, I'll be back tomorrow with some more preview fun!

At the department store...

Good morning!

The new Vendor of the Month at 7 Kids is Picket Fence Studios. They have so many great stamp sets from sweet and cutesy to posh and stylish, which made it hard to choose what to ink up first. I finally settled on the newer Shop Hard set because I just dig these funky, cool looking ladies so much. The sentiment is included in the set and even though I am personally more of an online shopper, it made me chuckle. It also inspired the direction I took this card by coloring her into a boutique looking clothing store. It looks like the new spring line is out, I wonder if our shopaholic will find anything to her liking? ;)

This is going to be a busy week of previews to I hope you check back again tomorrow!

Be your own hero...

Hello there!

I'm up on the Bellarific Blog today with a new Saturday scenic card to share. This week Tiny Townie Hayley the Hero was jumping out at me, demanding that she finally be the star of her own card and who am I to disagree? This fearless cutie embodies that hidden hero that I believe resides in every woman and what a fun way to send a bit of encouragement to a friend who may be struggling or experiencing a moment of big change in her life. Just being a friend and letting them know you are there for them can be a heroic act all by itself sometimes.
For the background, I wanted to create a rooftop environment for our hero to be inhabiting. In the past I have done a couple of these scenes but always with a dark night sky and lots of greys. This time I wanted to try my hand at a day lit urban scene that would be a lot lighter and brighter because if you think about it, even though there is a lot of stone and concrete making up the buildings and skyscrapers we know there is also a lot of glass reflecting and bouncing light  all around. I actually ended up playing with a lot of my lighter pastel Copics like the low BVs, BGs, Ys and RVs all mixed in with my greys to come up with this stylized rooftop scene.
Well I hope you have found a bit of inspiration today and have a wonderfully creative weekend!

Always here for you...

Hi friends!

I am over on The Greeting Farm blog today and once again I couldn't resist coloring up a couple more cuties from the brand new Hairoscope kit. On my last card I paired up two of the zodiac girls and did some altering to the hair to make them a bit more generic and versatile. For my card today it was even easier to make a non-astrology themed card because Pisces and Scorpio are both working with fun ponytails, so as long as I kept their hair colors in the traditional range they both just look like normal little girls.  Once again I really loved the interaction between these two characters and it inspired me to create a fun scene of them chatting away with each other. So keep looking at your themed stamps with fresh eyes because you never know what you might come up with!. :)

Have a colorful day!

You Bring Sunshine...

Good morning!

The forecast for this weekend says rain, rain and more rain so when it came time to find a stamp for today's card I was inspired to go in that direction. I pulled out my Hello Bluebird binder and flipped through until I found just the little umbrella toting gal that I was looking for. This cutie is part of the Rainy Day stamp set as well as the sentiment and one of the ducklings. I borrowed the other two ducklings from the Puddle Play set to add some extra fun to this soaked scene. Once I had them all stamped on, it was time to color and I wanted to try my hand at a rainy background that almost had a watercolor look to it even though I was using my Copics. I found that the trick is to lay down a layer of colorless blender before adding the colors so they all went on and instantly blended into a soft, hazy look. In contrast I wanted her to be nice and bright in all that yellow so as to tie directly back to the sentiment I chose to pair with her. This one was definitely a challenge but I learned a lot from it and I'm kinda anxious to give it another go sometime soon. :)

Alrighty then, see ya in 24!

Mer-mazing, happy day...

Hey there!

Today I've got my final two cards from the April digi release from Sweet November Stamps. I had two Live coloring videos yesterday over in the 7 Kids Customers Create Facebook group and we were able to get both Isla Tidecaller and Flora Sweetbrier all colored up. I even paired Flora up with this cool Poppies digi from the newest digital designer to join 7 Kids, Luisanna Lowry of Red Hibiscus Designs. Her first official release will be on the 15th of this month. We've also extended the bundle deal in the store for one more day so if you've been on the fence there is still time to get this month's entire release at a great price. And if you are a mermaid lover be sure to mark your calendars for Saturday the 20th because this month's Vault release will be all about bringing back some of those classic SN mermaids... just sayin'.  ;)

TTFN!

Hey girl...

Good morning!

We had a great time yesterday celebrating the April digi release from Sweet November Stamps over in the  7 Kids Customers Create Facebook group. When it came time to vote for which new image would be colored during my Live videos Fauna Meadowdancer won the day. I wanted to pair her with more of the new trees as well as the riverbed background builder set so I decided to make a square card this time giving everything a bit more breathing room in the design. As you can see, the gals had a lot of fun color suggestions and Fauna is looking quite sassy Today is the last day of the release celebration so if you haven't grabbed the freebie, Wade the duckling yet you will want to get on that. This is also the last day to take advantage of the bundle deal in the store and my final two coloring videos for this release are today as well. So still a lot going on for a Tuesday, I hope we see you there! :)

Supply list:

Sweet November's Fairy Tale Beauty Pageant...

Good morning!

Welcome to the April digi release for Sweet November Stamps at 7 Kids! This month we are visiting Sweet November Land just in time to participate in the annual Fairy Tale Beauty Pageant. Every spring the three loveliest finalists representing land, sea and air compete for the title of Miss Sweet November. What so you say we settle into the judges table and get to know the contestants?

First up representing land is the wild and wonderful centaurette, Fauna Meadowdancer. Fauna enjoys long runs across the prairie lands and kicking up her hooves as the top tap dancer in her dance troupe. As guardian of the western foothills, Fauna oversees and protects all those who dwell in her region from wandering trolls and ogres. Her favorite color is the fresh green of new grass and her future goals include winning the prestigious Silver Sands endurance race.
Next up, representing the sea, we have the mysterious mermaid Isla Tidecaller. Isla enjoys combing through shipwreck debris and re-purposing those items for her fellow denizens of the deep. As the head mermaid of the Seventh Sea, Isla oversees all of the island creating volcanic activity in her region. Her favorite color is storm wave teal and she hopes to one day temporarily trade in her fins for some land legs and visit some of the islands she has helped build beyond their shorelines.
And finally representing air, we meet the exuberant fairy, Flora Sweetbrier. Flora enjoys collecting pollen from the rarest of flowers to create the most sought after perfumes in all of Sweet November Land. As a member of the 13th Fairy Council, Flora is responsible for overseeing fairy dust production and distribution. Her favorite color is goldenrod and her greatest wish is to someday fly beyond the borders of Sweet November Land to go on an expedition for exotic plants and pollens.

And as always, this month's exclusive Fairy Tot digital stamp is only available to participants of the March Sweet November posting challenge. We know that sometimes it can be intimidating to put ourselves out there and share our creativity so these monthly Fairy Tots are our way of thanking everyone who plays along and shares the Sweet November love. If you missed out this month, no worries, just grab one of this month's images and join the fun in April to get your hands on next month's fairy.
And don't miss out on all the fun and games and Live coloring videos I will be doing in the  7 Kids Customers Create Facebook group over the next two days as well, we would love to have you join us!
