Happy Birthday...

TGIF my friends!

I finally finished this card from the Vault release Live coloring video and Josie and Jilly are now ready to party. If you watched the video you will know that my pink Copics used on the cupcake where dry and not playing nicely so my "fix" was to add Nuvo glitter drops and spread it around to look like sugar crystals and that totally saved the day... just look at that sparkle. Then I just grabbed a pack of birthday girl mini icon stickers from Doodlebug, as they were a perfect match to my color scheme, and added the sentiment and balloons. Voila! Finished card! Now don't forget that when August comes to an end in two days these Surprise Party Fairwees will be heading back into the Sweet November Vault so you'll want to grab them before they disappear. :)

Alrighty then, I will see you back here on Sunday with the September SN release and I'm tellin' ya now... it's too cute to spook! ;)
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It
digital stamps- Sweet November (Jilly's Candle and Josie's Cupcake)
My Favorite Things A2 stitched rectangle stax set 2
Doodlebug birthday girl mini icon stickers
Nuvo glitter drops and jewel drops
Copic markers: sorry, I didn't keep track of the color but you can see the video here

Every blooming thing...

Hello again!

I've got one last Summer Garden Fae to share here before we jump right into Halloween on September 1st. This is the "big head" version of Dahlia that I colored during one of the release Lives. As I always do, I let the gals watching pick the colors that we use when I color and Miss Dahlia here ended up very bright and sweet, like Starburst candies, LOL! To keep creating quick I followed the same basic layout design as yesterday's card, sequins and all. The only change was the scalloped rectangle die used and the colors of the sequins. So now we are down to only three days left to get your August projects entered into the SN Challenge in the 7 Kids Customers Create Facebook group for a shot at winning the entire October release as well as only three days to grab the Fairwee Surprise Party Vault digis before they disappear again.

Laters!

Easy like Sunday morning...

Hey there!

We are nearing the end of the month and that means I am busy behind the scenes gearing up for the new Sweet November digital release on September 1st. It also means that there are only four days left to get your August projects entered into the SN Challenge in the 7 Kids Customers Create Facebook group for a shot at winning the entire October release! I finally got my close up of Gerbera Daisy that I colored during one of the release Lives onto a finished card. I really love how she and Beezer interact with each other in this scene which lead me to grabbing a friendship themed sentiment to pull everything together. A few sequins sprinkled here and there and I was done!

Ok, time for me to go get my Halloween vibes flowing. Catch ya later!

Warm memories...

Hello friends!

I had a free day where I could play with any stamps that I wanted to and I found myself being drawn to my Birdie Brown binder to take a look-see. It's been awhile since I've colored up any of these amazing stamps and right away I knew I had to create a scene with these cuties from the Fall Friends set. I remember getting these stamps last year just a little past their season so now that I am dipping into fall themed cards I didn't want to waste any more time inking them up. I also recently got the Carta Bella Fall Market paper pad from 7 Kids and I pulled a few of the prints from it to pull my color palette from. Aren't those colors just delish? Love them! In fact I love them so much that I actually left a little room when coloring my scene to add a few of the papers to the top of my card. Sure, it's a clean and simple layout but I adore how this one came together.  :)

Alrighty, talk at'cha later!

Flying by...

Good morning!

I already feel like this week is flying by and it is only Monday, LOL! I've got an early start at work today so I'm gonna keep this post short and sweet. It's my day to share a card at 7 Kids and this time around I was drawn to the super cute Maverick stamp set by Hello Bluebird. These high flying friends are so great for little boy cards, which I don't do many of. I chose to have the pup flying the plane this time around and added a little birdie friend for him to be flying past. I really wanted this to be a birthday card but the set didn't come with a birthday sentiment, that is when I got the idea to leave white space for the writing as I colored in the blue sky... to make it look like the pup has been sky writing the message. It was a bit challenging and it didn't turn out perfect but I'm happy enough with it. I just wish I had cuter hand writing, LOL!  :)

Now, in case you haven't seen yet... 7 Kids is having a sale right now in honor of Kelly's three year anniversary of owning the store. It's 23% OFF almost everything and you just have to use the code HUMBLED at check out.
Have fun taking advantage of those deals!

My little pumpkin...

Hey friends!

I'm back on the Bellarific Blog with another Scenic Saturday card to share. As summer slowly begins shifting into the cooler weather of fall my crafting themes seem to be shifting in that direction too. When I sat down to create a card for today the Littles once again caught my eye but this time it was the darling Little Bits Fall Fruit Collection. Now there are a lot of great die cuts on the market that create these different window patterns for the front of your card and I'm telling you they are made for these Littles! The dies break scenes down into neat little manageable boxes that aren't intimidating to take on, plus provide a pretty frame for your finished work. Whether you decide to treat each window as a separate vignette, as I did on my summer Littles card, or create one continuous scene through matching up your coloring, the choice is completely up to you. I went with a continuous scene on my card today where I stamped the Little girl, mushroom and small pumpkin from the Fall Fruit Collection on the largest panel along with the leaf pile from the Little Bits Nature Collection and the Fall Backdrop tree. Then on the small upper panel I stamped a sentiment from the Set of Pumpkins along with a few of the falling leaves from the Nature Collection. When I colored this panel I knew it would be mostly sky but I made sure to leave a little room at the bottom for the green hillside to look like it was continuing across the card, easy peasy! Then for the last small panel I paired up the little fox from the Nature Collection with the medium sized pumpkin from the Set of Pumpkins and filled green all around them. As you can see, this didn't require a lot of fancy free hand coloring and sketching but the end result definitely looks like a beautiful fall day on that hillside.

I hope your weekend is a crafty one!

You're a catch...

TGIF my friends!

Well it looks like I am continuing the retired stamp theme from yesterday but today's oldie but goodie is River from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. My pal Tress is currently cleaning out her craft room and she gifted me with a big box of stamps... OMG, talk about happy mail! Cutie River here was one of the many retired Moonlight Whispers stamps that Tress sent and I immediately new I wanted to pair her with the Moonlight Whispers Forest Background that I already had. Talk about a match made in stamping heaven, LOL! Now it looks like River has found the perfect fishin' hole for her to spend this late summer day at. I really had so much fun putting this card together and coloring it all up so thanks again Tress, I can't wait to ink up the rest of the goodies you spoiled me with!  :)

Later gators!

May you find peace...

Olo!

Anyone out there discover older stamps and fall in love with them just to find out that they've been discontinued? I've had that happen a few times unfortunately and one line in particular is the Cathy Delanssay collection released by Whimsy Stamps. I've recently had some luck collecting a few of these lovely stamps second hand and this image called, The Fairy is one of them. I don't know why but something about this fairy hiding among the leaves always had me picturing her sitting beside a stream so when it came time to color her yesterday I did just that. And as summer starts to draw to a close I thought it would be fun to have the leaves around her starting to turn brown on the edges just a bit because I'm ready for cooler weather gosh darn it! LOL

Alrighty friends, time for me to get busy. Hope your day is fabulous!

You say witch...

Hello there!

Who's ready for Halloween cards? Me, me, me! Yes, lately I've been feeling that itch to start transitioning into the next season of card making as we head into the final weeks of summer. Even though we haven't had a break in the hot weather yet I am ready for things to get a bit more cool and cozy. So when I saw all the fab new Halloween stamps in the latest Picket Fence release I quickly added them to my 7 Kids cart. The sketchy looking witches in the If You've Got It, Haunt It set were the first to catch my eye and then I fell in love with the On an Autumn Day background. The nice thing about it is it's versatility because I can totally see using it for all the seasons just by changing the sky colors and using my Copics to add more leaves. The sentiment even comes with the small Witch, Please set... so much Picket Fence goodness on one card, LOL! You might notice that I couldn't resist giving my sassy witch a head full of big, bouncing curls a la Cher in The Witches of Eastwick, and I think she looks fabulous with her new 'do.  ;)

Don't be surprised if more fall and Halloween cards start showing up here on the 'ol blog cause there's no going back now, LOL!

So doggone kind...

Hello, hello!

For my card today I felt like playing with another one of the newest Dreamerland stamps that were released this summer. This little beauty with her basket of pups is called Because I Love You and I paired them with the older Box of Flowers stamp and the running pup that come with one of their red rubber stamps which, for the life of me, I can't remember what it's called. Once they were all stamped on there together I could just picture her sitting right outside her house by the front stoop. I didn't have a ruler handy to I was really winging it with the house as I sketched with my Copics and the perspective got totally wonky on the front there but what can ya do, LOL! At least you get the impression of what I was going for, plus it isn't like the house is the focal point any way. Then I just finished the whole thing off with a fun sentiment from the Honey Bee Friends Furever set which I thought tied back quite nicely to her helping so sweetly with those puppies. :)

Ok then, so much to do today... I should get moving. Have a good one!

Birthday wishes...

Good morning!

We opened the Sweet November Vault at 7 Kids this weekend and we brought back the Surprise Party Fairwees in honor of Kelly's third anniversary of owning the store. On Saturday I did two Live coloring videos in the 7 Kids Customers Create Facebook group and this card using Daphne's Balloons is the result of one of those videos. We ended up coloring her floating high above the clouds which left me a lot of blue space up top to play with. So I grabbed the new Birthday Wishes die from The Greeting Farm and created a large but subtle silhouette style greeting in that space. It's so cool that by simply die cutting the sentiment five times and gluing them all together you get this raised lettering that almost disappears into the scene. It's like a little bit of card making magic, which seems appropriate with these sweet Fairwees.  ;)

Ok, time for me to scoot. Hope you have a lovely week!
Supply list:
cardstock- Catherine Pooler and Copic X-Press It

You're invited to a wee little party!

Hello friends!

It's time for the August SN Vault release and because we are also celebrating Kelly's three year anniversary of owning 7 Kids we decided to go big... in a small way. To help us celebrate this milestone we have brought back all six of the Surprise Party Fairwees who were originally released in January of 2012. These smallest of the small inhabitants of Sweet November Land are the best party planners around and they have gone all out for this celebration! :)Fairwee Josie is putting the finishing touches of sparkling sugar and candy coated decorations on the yummiest looking platter of mini cupcakes that we have ever seen. While Mia is a wee little ball of energy zooming in and showering everyone with a burst of sparkling fairy dust and colorful confetti! Little Jilly is in charge of making sure the cake has just the right amount of glowing candles for each and every celebration.

Our tiny friend Emaline is toting a pile of pretty presents to the party, so proud of her wrapping and ribbon curling on each one. There is Fairwee Daphne swooping in, holding tight to a bunch of birthday balloons. She's so small that even the gentlest breeze could blow her right out of the party again! And what could be inside that gift with the pretty wrapping paper and big bow? "Surprise" it's Fairwee Piper popping out to wish you a very happy birthday, half-birthday or non-birthday! Let's just enjoy the sweet treats and play a party game or two because the fun is just beginning. :)

Because we are celebrating the store anniversary for the rest of the month this Vault will stay open until September 1st. But for today and tomorrow only we have a special bundle deal going that you won't want to miss!

Drop you a line...

TGIF my friends!

What with the TGF previews and getting ready for a couple of upcoming releases, I didn't have a lot of time to make a card for today. Luckily I've got a stack of Some Odd Girl images already colored from past coloring challenges that I've participated in. So all I had to do was grab this little mermaid resting on a fishing hook and color in a quick background of water for her to live in. The image is called Caught Mermaid but I like to think that she is just toying with whoever is on the other end of that line and she will slip away just before the hook is pulled from the water. ;)
Alrighty, time for work. But I will be back tomorrow with a special Vault release at 7 Kids so be sure to check that out!

First I drink the coffee...

It’s the 15th, and the AUGUST Release is now available for purchase in The Greeting Farm Store. MINI-REMIX FRIEND is all about you and your girlfriends. I love how sweet and adorable these girls are. Next up, we showcased two new birthday-themed dies: one that says BIRTHDAY WISHES and one that says HAPPY BIRTHDAY. In the set called TO DO we featured some cute, adorable girls doing day-to-day activities. Not only is this set perfect for planners and calendars, but they also make some pretty amazing scene cards. Lastly, we introduced 3 big Anyas in a set called MISS ANYA COFFEE BREAK that is perfect for coffee/hot chocolate lovers and fantastic for all those fall cards.

To celebrate our release, we are having a short BLOG HOP!! You have until AUGUST 18th at 12pm CST/1pm EST to leave your comments on each Designer's Blog and The Greeting Farm Blog (letting us know you completed the hop). The winner wins this entire release!

**NOTE: Please use the same name on all the blogs when leaving a comment. Also, please do not pick the Anonymous option when leaving a comment (otherwise we won't be able to verify that it's you). Thank you!

This is a short hop, and definitely worth playing along! Of course, if you can't wait for the hop to be over, you can purchase these stamps HERE.

Can I just take a moment to squeal over how cute this new Miss Anya is with her sassy, short hair do?! I love, love, LOVE her and hope we see even more characters sportin' cute pixies in the future... who's with me? Something about her had me imagining this girl as a stylish, young assistant working in some office coming back with the morning coffee for her and her boss. Then all I had to do was find the perfect sentiment to finish off the scene and I was done!

Alrighty friends, go enjoy the hop! :)

At first sip...

Hey there!

We've made it to the final day of August previews for The Greeting Farm and have we got a fabulous set to wrap it all up with. Miss Anya Coffee Break includes three new lovely Miss Anyas, each with a tall cup of joe to keep her going throughout the day. Today I have paired up two of these caffeinated cuties to create a fun scene of friends spending time together, enjoying their favorite lattes.

Ok, time to head on over to the TGF blog for even more Miss Anya Coffee Break goodness from my fellow Farmers. And don't forget that the entire release will be available for purchase tomorrow, as well as a chance to win all of the August stamps and dies by participating in the blog hop!

Happy looks good on you...

Hi friends!

It's day three of the Greeting Farm's August release and we are introducing the To Do set which includes this sketch style little gal as she goes about her day taking care of all the household chores that fill our days. These quirky little stamps are perfect for planners and journals as well as fun cards like this one. For my card today I paired the To Do girls with girls from the Happy Travels set that was released in April. I thought it would be cute to have her daydreaming about getting away from her work-a-day world for a bit of r&r on a tropical vacation with the sun, sea and sand and a drink in her hand. To Do will be available for purchase on the 15th along with the other new stamps.

Now hop on over to the TGF blog to see all of the great chore themed projects from my fellow Farmers using the new To Do set. Then check back tomorrow for day four of previews. :)
