Happy Easter to You...

Good morning!

A brand new digital stamp has been added to The Greeting Farm store just in time for Easter card making. Happy Easter Anya is a cute new digi set that includes this darling Anya dressed up like the Easter Bunny along with a stand of tulips, a baby chick and sentiment. Here I've put all of those elements together to create this sweet Easter scene. By playing with the sizing of the extra images, like shrinking the tulips in the back to a slightly smaller size than the ones up front, I was able to add a sense of distance between the two rows of flowers. And I made the chicks really tiny so they would be more to scale with Anya's size. This kind of customizing of the images is a big part of why I love working with digital stamps so much.  :)

Have a great week my friends!

Butterfly kisses...

Hello again!

I've got a couple more cards to share from the spring clear release at Sweet November Stamps today. Both of these cards use the new Fairy Hair set and even though I colored one before the release and the other during my afternoon Live yesterday, they look like they were meant to be a coordinating card set.

As I mentioned above, this blue haired cutie was the subject of my afternoon Live coloring video over on my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page. I wanted it to look like she was flying high up in the sky so the landscape was confined to the very bottom of the scene with the majority of the background being the sunrise sky. I really love the way her blue hair stands out against the rosy sky so there is no mistaking who is the star of the show.

Next we have her pink haired fairy sister flying high in a very similar sunrise sky. This time I've stamped the large bush from the Horizon Lines: Spring in Bloom set at the bottom of the card so it looks like treetops she is flying over. On both cards I added extra butterflies from the older Flutterbee Tullia set fluttering about. I think these two prove that it just isn't spring without some cute fairies flying high. :)

Later gators!

Plant happiness...

Hey hey!

I'm back with a couple more cards featuring stamps from the new Summer Garden release at Colorado Craft Company. The hop is still going on until midnight mountain time tonight and the winners will be randomly selected by 3C and announced on their blog March 21st, so if you haven't participated yet just scroll down a bit for my hop post. Today is also the last day to take advantage of free shipping on all domestic orders or a flat $10 for international orders.

For my first card I stamped up the bountiful bunny from the Garden Therapy set and added a few extra veggies from the Rooting For You set scattered around. Back behind the bunny the Greener Grass set makes another appearance and I stacked the leafy plant and beans to create a beanstalk in this garden. I gotta say, this guy looks quite pleased with his harvest.

For my second card I paired the sweet guinea pig from the Veggie Stack set with one of the guineas in the Peas Forgive Me set. Together with the help of Mr. Robin they are busy admiring all of this yummy produce that they've grown. Once again, I added another border of grass in the background from the Greener Grass set because it is such a great way to define the garden space from the rest of the scene.

Ok then, enjoy the rest of your weekend!

It's Sweet November spring clear release!

Hello!

There has been a lot of anticipation for the spring clear release at Sweet November Stamps and that day has finally arrived! There are eight new stamp sets being introduced in this bright and breezy release, one of which is another background builder that helps you create outdoor scenes that recede back into the distance. As always, there is a special going on in the store...  spend $75 or more and you will get the 3x4 Mirri set absolutely FREE (while supplies last). There is also FREE SHIPPING on all domestic orders over $75 and $15 flat rate shipping for all international orders over $75, giving you even more ways to save!

My first card features the 3x4 Raina set as well as some branches from the Spring Wees set. Here little Raina has found herself caught in a sudden spring shower, luckily she has her umbrella and some blooming branches to help keep her dry. If you are interested in watching me color this scene I've got a video up on the Sweet November Stamps Youtube channel that is part of the Youtube hop we have going on this weekend for a chance to win the entire release.

Next we have the delightful Spring Wees set that creates a bird's eye view type of scene where the viewer feels like they are up in the flowering treetops looking down on the Fairwees resting in the fresh, new grass below. It appears that this particular Fairwee has been reading in the shade of the tree only to stop and daydream a bit before getting back to the story.

Finally for today, I've also made a card featuring the new Little Moments set. There are four pairs of mama and baby critters included in this set, making it perfect for Mother's Day cards. I chose the quail and her cute chicks for this particular scene and I wanted it to look like they are hiding amidst the taller grasses out at the edge of the forest.

If you are on Instagram and would like a chance at winning the entire release, we are hosting a three day Instahop and we are once again being joined by our friends at The Crafty Purple Frog (SN UK stockist). Just search for the #sweetnovemberstamps account to get started. The winner will be announced on Tuesday the 21st. You can also check out all of the cards over at the Friends of Sweet November Stamps group on Facebook for even more Spring inspiration from Caitlin, Faye, Lisa, Amanda and Allison as well as our talented guest designers! I will also be coloring Live twice each day this weekend, first at 10am then again at 2pm PST on my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page. And don't forget about the Youtube hop for another chance at winning the entire release!

You can also find us on Instagram @sweetnovemberstamps and don't forget to use the #sweetnovemberstamps any time you share a card or project using SN images so we can see all of your beautiful makes!

Summer Garden release at Colorado Craft Company

Hello there!

I'm excited to be joining this month's new Summer Garden release blog hop with Colorado Craft Company. The new collection features nine stamp sets by Anita Jeram, as well as their coordinating dies, all focused on the fun gardening theme. To celebrate this release 3C is giving away a new stamp set from each stop on the hop, so the more you comment the more chances you have to win. Not only that, but they will also be giving away a stamp set to three random commenters over on Instagram. Entries will be accepted until midnight mountain time March 19th and winners will be randomly selected by 3C and announced on their blog March 21st. They are also doing a HUGE complete bundle giveaway to ONE lucky winner. To be entered for that you have to use one of the designer's affiliate links when you place an order. Those links can be found on the 3C blog and will be included in one of their emails as well. In the mean time, here's the complete list of hop participants for you to check out:

I've got three cards to share with you today. The first features adorable bunnies from the Carrot On and Veg Out stamp sets. Together they are harvesting a bumper crop of their most favorite crunchy garden treat. I've also stamped one of the border lines of grass from the Greener Grass set behind them to help separate the rich garden dirt from the field beyond. The sentiment was pulled from the Garden Therapy set because it was too perfect not to use with these happy gardeners.

For my second card I paired the sweet guinea pigs from the Peas Forgive Me set with some extra heads of lettuce from the Veg Out set. These friendly farmers love their leafy greens and they take great pride in the blue ribbon worthy produce that they grow. Once again, I added another border of grass in the background from the Greener Grass set, as well as a couple tufts up front to help add depth to this cute scene. Anyone else craving a salad now? LOL

Finally, the bunny from the Rooting For You set is busy digging up all of the turnips, potatoes and onions from her garden. She's been patiently waiting all season for this day and now she can't wait to create some magic in the kitchen using all of these delicious ingredients. Once again you will find the Greener Grass set making an appearance bordering the fence line that I sketched into the scene.

Ok, time to send you on your way. I hope this new release has you excited about getting a little dirt under your nails or at least making a card or two about it.  ;)
