Happy Halloween...

Good morning!

I've got a clean and simple Halloween card to share today using a mix of stamps from Purple Onion Designs. I started off by grabbing the Happy Pumpkins stamp and then found Lilly, this happy dancing owl, and I immediately thought it would be cute if she was dancing right on those pumpkins. To make that happen, I stamped Lilly first, masked her off and then stamped the Happy Pumpkins below. Next, I added a mask to the pumpkins and stamped the Birch Trees Background behind them to help fill in the scene. Once the masks were removed it was time to color and I started with a soft, dusky hued violet sky that ended up looking really pretty with the rest of the rather de-saturated colors that I used throughout the scene. The sentiment is part of the Essential Happy Sentiment set and I ended up sprinkling a few green gems around it as a magical finishing touch.  :)

Later gators!

Hey pumpkin...

Hi there!

It's review/preview weekend before the big Color-Fall clear release at Sweet November next week. This is when the team and I showcase previously released stamps on brand new cards and share sneak peeks of some of the new stamps that are soon to hit the shelves. The card I am sharing today pairs one of the adorable fairwees from the Falling into Fairwees #2 set with the brand new Background Builder: Autumn Cottages set. This new set contains fairytale inspired cottages in three different sizes which can be used together or mix and matched with other builder sets in your collection. Here I've used the largest of the cottages with the happy Fairwee carrying a pumpkin and her tow foxy friends. The small pumpkins in the distance behind them are also included in the Autumn Cottages set. If you are interested in watching this scene being colored you can find the short Reel over on my Instagram or there is also the longer speed coloring video that can be found on the Sweet November Stamps Youtube channel.

I will be coloring up another mash up of an older Fall stamp with more from the upcoming Color-Fall release during my Live coloring this morning at 11am PST on my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page... hope to see ya there!  :)
