Sweet Heart

Good morning!

Well I finally got my Glee fix last night after waiting months and months for a new episode and it was SO worth it! Have I mentioned lately how much I love that show? And the best part is that we get another new one tomorrow too! Happy dance! :)

So I made another Valentine card using only cardstock, die cuts and stickers from the Doodlebug Valentine line but this time I used an adorable Gorguss Girl because I thought she totally looked like a little sweetheart. That and because the GG's are pretty quick to color up which makes them great when I don't' have a lot of time to create. I'm still keeping me fingers crossed for some new ones from Sugar Nellie someday...

Well, it's time for me to hit the road. Hasta la vista... baby! ;) Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and PTI
stickers/ die cuts- Doodlebug
stamp- Sugar Nellie (Purrrfect Friend Gorguss Girl)
ink- Memento tuxedo black

Ahoy, ahoy...

Avast ye land-lubbers or should I say stamp-lubbers? ;)

It's time for the February Tickled Pink previews to begin and we are kicking of preview week with this cool li'l seadog, Pirate Frankie! Isn't he just the most fabulous swashbuckler this side of the seven seas? LOL

I found this great map looking paper in my DCWV Once Upon a Time stack and right away I knew that it was Frankie's treasure map and I just had to use it in the background. But I didn't want to cover up too much of it so I kept the embellishing to a minimum. Which I think works just fine for a more guy looking card anyway. The charms have been in my stash for eons and I was thrilled to finally see them fulfill their crafty destiny, LOL!
Frankie sure makes for a fun way to say hello but I can just see him being even more fun for pirate themed party invites and the like... arrrrrrgh... ;)

Now be sure to head on over to the Tickled Pink blog to check out what the rest of the Pink Ladies have created and to get yourself entered in for a chance at winning some Frankie booty... minds out of the gutter ladies... I'm talkin' about a free stamp, LOL!

Alrighty, it's time for this working girl to walk the plank... see ya later!

Some Kraftin Kimmie fun...

Hello my stampin' peeps!

I've got some fun and exciting things to share on this fine Saturday... which is that the fabulous Kimmie, of Kraftin Kimmie Stamps, has invited me to be a Krafty Guest for the month of February! Now it's no secret that that I've been a fan of these crazy cuties for quite some time so I leapt at the chance to play along with them this month. :)

And I'm kickin' off this fun stint with Saturday challenge #64... Seeing Red! Valentine's Day is right around the corner making this is the perfect color to create a card with right now, don'cha think? As soon as Kimmie told me what the challenge was I knew that sweet Marina, with her kissy kissy lips, would be the perfect stamp to use for a Valentine with loads of personality.
I stayed with a pretty monochromatic color scheme, pulling all of the shades of red from the mosaic (or scaly mermaid tail) looking paper that I used in the background. I know that red might not be the first color that comes to mind when I imagine a mermaid but I think she makes for a perfectly delightful little under-the-sea cupid. ;)

Now it's your turn to pull out a Kraftin Kimmie stamp and play along in this week's challenge. As always there is a fab stamp prize up for grabs so don't miss out on the fun! Then be sure to check back later in the week for the new KK February stamp previews to begin! :)

Smooches!

Smile...

TGIF everybody!
Can you see me doing my happy dance? ;)

As grey as the day may be here, I am in a bright and cheery mood so this card that I have to share seems quite appropriate with all of its happy colors. I actually made this a couple days ago for the TGF CHA relay challenge and there were ten different ingredients that we had to get onto a card. Packing a bunch of goodies on a single card? Sounds like my kind of challenge, LOL!

When I thought about which little cutie to use I realized that its been a while since I've shown some love to any of my Wild Sprouts and Ruby was jumping at the chance to see some ink. I gotta say that she always makes me smile. I've been seeing all of the rolled fabric flowers that are currently quite the hot item (Emma has a great tutorial here) and since I was feeling uber crafty I decided to make my own out of some sheer ribbon. OMG I think I am addicted! LOL
And the best part is, I saw that Cosmo Cricket is coming out with basically giant glue dots, called Glubers, specifically made for creating these kinds of flowers even easier... you know I'll be all over those when they hit the shelves. ;)

Anywho... I managed to get all ten ingredients on here without it feeling too cluttered, I used a beloved stamps, tried a new technique, so you can say that I'm a happy camper. Boy do I love making cards! :)

Ok, time for me to go enjoy my day, TTYL!

A punchy pink challenge

Good morning friends!

I've got a couple days off after today so I am excited! :)
There are lots of plans and we shall see how many of them I can get to... hopefully I don't just totally veg and spend my time checking out all the CHA peeks from this past week, LOL!

Anywho, I've got a card for the Tickled Pink Challenge and this week we are getting punchy! That's right, pull out those punches and put them to work right along side your favorite TPS stamp 'cause the prize is a couple of TPS digis!
I started this one off by punching the ledger paper background with the deep edge wildflowers border punch and the card kinda became a whole floral explosion after that, LOL! I just couldn't resist using the extra large flowers to set a garden-like scene for miss Ivy. If you ask me she looks right at home there. :)

Ok, I'm off to get ready for one more day of work... then freedom! Toodles!

Love U

Hello, hello!

Are you ready for a new Wednesday challenge over at ATS? This week "Anything Goes" so have fun with it and let your imagination fly! :)

I used Breezy and changed things up a bit with a little round shaped card as its been a while since I made one like that. I also added the sentiment heart to her mouth as she is carrying it to her special Valentine.

Orange you a great friend...

Mornin' fellow stampers!

I hope the day is treating you well. Thankfully I'm not feeling nearly as scattered this morning and I'm ready to face the day with a smile on my face. :)

So I managed to re-visit that card I had to set aside the other night and this time it all came together quite nicely. I used the new Olivia Orange from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps and she may just be my favorite of their newest release... seriously is it any surprise with her being all about orange? ;)
I wanted to play around with a different skin tone combination on her and after I had her colored her up I think I was subconsciously influenced by the Orange Blossom character from my Strawberry Shortcake days growing up, LOL!
I also made this for the KK challenge #63 to reduce, reuse and recycle. Originally I was going to use some packaging for my background but that wasn't working so in the end there is only one little thing on here that I re purposed and that is the button I added to Olivia's hair. It came off of an old favorite shirt of mine and I always thought that it looked like a sliced orange so I saved it for the perfect card. Well, it doesn't get more perfect than when the card itself is all about oranges, don'tcha think?

Oh! And before I forget... if you are a Sweet November fan be sure to head on over to our Facebook page to check out the month long contest we are hosting over there!
