We're going back... to the future!

Greetings earthlings!

It's time for a brand new Tickled Pink digital stamp release and have I given you enough clues to guess what the theme is this time? ;)
That's right... this time the Lolitas and Lads have gone totally space aged and t
hese images designed by Christina Dee are sure to set your phasers to stun-ning, LOL! I promise that you are going to love all four of the previews leading up to the release on February 10th (Feb. 9th for those of us in the States).

So today we are blasting off with Future Lilith.
Doesn't she look super sleek and cool? And I tried hard to give her an 'out-of-this-world' home to live in too... is that the earth I see up there in the sky? Where the heck is she... Mars? Hmmm... Lilith the Martian, that's kind of got a ring to it if you ask me. And I think she would be ruling that planet, so maybe she is a Martian royal thinking of sneaking off planet for some freedom and adventure, possibly with a cute earthling boy! :)

Now, as always it wouldn't be a Tickled Pink Stamps preview without a prize, so head on over to the Tickled Pink blog and leave a comment on today's post for a chance at winning your very own Future Lilith digi stamp! And while you are there be sure to check out the awesome cards that my fellow Pink Ladies have created too!

Your friendship

Olo!

Ok, so we can call this post Bad Blogger Day 2, LOL! Yep, I found one last Some Odd Girl card that I made for the Valentine Digi release but neglected to post here. I swear, sometimes I think that if my head wasn't attached it would go missing. ;)

So this one features Heartsy Mae and I just think she is a complete doll. It's funny because as I was typing up the supply list for this card I realized, for the first time, that there are really no embellishments on this one. Besides one tiny sticker, it's just paper and stamps... shocker! But to be honest, I don't think she needed much else. We'll call this my version of CAS. :)

And with that I must bid you ado, as I go get myself ready for work.
Hope this week treats you all well!
Toodles!

Be Mine

Are you ready for some football?!

Hello friends... yes, it is Superbowl Sunday here in the good ol' US of A. The most epic day of the year if you would believe the claims of some commercials. Pffffft... whatevs... personally I've got zero interest in the whole to-do and couldn't even tell you which teams are playing. Instead the house will be blissfully quiet and I plan to spend my day off in the crafty room stamping and coloring. Oooh, but I've got to remember that The Voice starts tonight after the game and I don't want to miss that! ;)

Ok, so I'm a bit of a bad blogger... you see, today's card was actually one that I made for the last Some Odd Girl digi release while I was still on the team. But somehow between all of the other new release hoopla going on at the same time I neglected to actually post it here. For shame! But I'm going with the 'better late than never' excuse on this one, LOL!
The card features Valentine's Tia digital stamp and I used a small Basic Grey sentiment stamp to add the message onto her heart. The papers are old Sassafras scraps that I had and I must say that this is probably one of my most fave lines that they ever did... it was the sweet owls that really hooked me. In fact, that little owl was actually a part of the paper that got cut off when I trimmed the paper for the front of the card and since I couldn't bear to toss him in the trash, I went ahead and gave him a little home here. Originally his eyes were closed but I simply grabbed a brown Copic to color them all in then glued on googly eyes (something that I picked up from the talented Kelly Booth)! I think it adds a lot of fun to the scene, like, "Whooo is this crazy girl wanting to be my Valentine?"

Alrighty folks, Superbowl or not, I hope you have a great Sunday!
Adios!

We've got winners for every season

Good morning!

What do you say we start this weekend off with a few candy winners? We had such a great turnout for the new February stamp previews, and it was so much fun to read all of the enthusiastic comments both here and on the Sweet November Gals' blogs as well. :)

Okey dokey... no sense in keeping you all in suspense any longer. So without further ado the winner's of the Sweet November February candies are:

  • Bloom goes to- Jennifer
  • Shroom goes to- Cami
  • Nutter goes to- biggirlbri
  • and Pine goes to- Debora

Congratulations ladies! Please email me at: pete_danger @ hotmail.com with your mailing info and I will get your prizes sent out on Monday. :)
Big thanks again to everyone who came out for the reveals... without you they wouldn't be nearly as much fun!

And as for my card today, I actually made this for the CC Designs cutter preview on the ATS blog the other day. I used the new Swiss Pixie Nymph Lucy as well as the Woodland Logos and the mushroom border die. A while back Christine and I were chatting and I mentioned that I hadn't ever seen a mushroom border available in either punch form or die so I was thrilled when I saw this cool cutter for the first time... I think that she totally nailed it!
I actually cut the design out of three different cardstocks, then snipped the caps off of the kraft and orange ones and glued them to the white base. Add a bit of shading with my Copics and white dots with my Sharpie and I'm lovin' how they turned out! As for Lucy, I stamped her twice too... once on cardstock and once on vellum. Then I fussy cut the wings off of Lucy on the cardstock version and glued the vellum wings in their place. I thought this made them look more dragonfly like which is why I paired her up with a couple of dragonfly pals. ;)

Hope your Saturday is a great one!
XOXO

Pixie dust

Howdy folks!

So did you enjoy checking out all of the new February stamps being released over at All That Scraps these past few days? Not only did we have all the Sweet November fun going on, but there are also some pretty amazing new Swiss Pixies on the scene as well. Considering my affinity for all things fairy, I doubt you will be surprised when I say that this release of Swiss Pixies are my new faves from that range... each one just as cute as the next. :)

It was hard choosing which one to ink up first but I finally settled on Pixie Lucy with her sweet pigtails and cute pose. I then masked her off and stamped the Woodland Daisy beneath her so that she would have a cool place to sit and rest. I found these great papers in my scrap bag and I thought that they were perfect to go with Lucy and I pulled my colors for her from the papers like I always do. It wasn't until I was cutting her out that I realized that I had unintentionally given her a very Snow White-ish look. Oh well, I think she can pull it off, LOL!

Alrighty, so all of the new February release stamps and cutters are now available in the ATS store. And there are still a few hours left to get your name in for a chance at winning on the ATS blog as well as the rest of the day here for a shot at the Sweet November candies... just scroll down a bit to find those.

Have a great Friday my friends! :)

Pining for some SN candy...

I've gotta say that I think we've collected every last nut and berry in this clearing. Though I can't complain about the work because the pleasant company of little Nutter and the fabulous fall weather have been just perfect. Spring and summer weren't bad at all but I would be content to live in this 'sweet November' forever. ;)

Brrrr... is it just me or has the temperature made a sudden drastic drop? I can't believe we are all having to reach for those winter coats we wore on the trek here. Surely this cold-snap is a sign that we are about to meet the fourth seasonal sprite sibling. And Nutter is quick to confirm that thought as he starts to shake the nearest pine tree. After a few more tries on different evergreens his brother, Pine, comes leaping out of the branches! And a flurry of snowflakes seems to arrive with him, gently falling on us and the two brothers as they play wrestle in a fond hello. Then just as quickly as each of the previous meetings, Nutter starts to say his goodbyes then disappears.
Little Pine is a bundle of energy as the snow starts falling fast and thick. Before we know it, the white stuff is piling high and Pine has built a fantastic snowman here in the meadow. There really is no doubt that he is doing his job in bringing winter with him wherever he goes as we gaze across the transformed landscape of snowy white. And even though he is just as sweet as can be, I think this is a sign that it's time to head back home. I mean, it's not like we are escaping the winter weather here anymore! So we say our own goodbyes to Pine as he skips off to play with the snowman and little woodland friends. Then we make our way back to the real world. Upon return, I can only hope that Bloom will be traveling here sooner rather than later. ;)

In the meantime... Pine did send some fresh winter candy for us to enjoy, check it out...

Hope you like nuts in your candy...

Mmmmm... wasn't that a wonderful little summer siesta that we were enjoying? Shroom sure knows how to do the whole "livin' easy" thing. Still, I don't know about you but the heat is getting to be a bit much and I forgot to pack my sunscreen! Luckily I have a feeling that a change may be coming sooner than we think. ;)

The first sign we notice is the emergence of little forest critters scurrying to and fro... with all of their industrious energy gathering up nuts and other bits of food to store it seems that the lazy days are drawing to a close. Shroom notices this too and with a sweet smile she says that her brother is surely on his way. Even as she makes that announcement the sun becomes hidden behind some clouds and the air cools noticeably. We all look around to see where this new visitor may be coming from but all we see are some of the leaves in the trees changing color and falling to the ground. Then we hear a couple thumps as some acorns fall from the giant oak that has been shading us. Shroom suddenly squeals in delight and we notice that what fell from the tree wasn't just an acorn, but another of these small sprites! He quickly jumps up off the ground brushing the dirt from his knees before grabbing up Shroom and twirling her around in a big bear hug. Once he sets her back on her feet she gives a playful tap to his acorn cap and tugs on his hand to bring him closer to our group of onlookers. Shroom then introduces us to her brother, Nutter, before saying her goodbyes.
After her departure from our magical glen, Nutter wastes no time in doing his job to bring autumn to the land.
The day begins to shorten and there is a crispness to the air... definitely time to find my jacket again. But it's not all work and no play for this industrious little chap as he seems to make a game out of helping his forest friends gather and get ready for the even colder days ahead. It's hard not to join the fun that he makes out of hunting for nuts and berries so off we go into the trees to see what we can find with our new friend Nutter.

Oh, and if you like nuts in your candy, check this out...
The Nutter candy kit includes; one Sweet November Nutter rubber stamp, ten 6x6 sheets of Crate Little Sprout paper, small Basic Grey acrylic stamp, Prima flowers, Kaiser Craft pearls, ribbon, twine, buttons, felt acorns, four envelopes, four card blanks and my card.
