Sing me a song...

Hello again!

It's time for another brand new rubber stamp preview from Tickled Pink! We are super excited to be kicking off the year with some fresh, new images that are different and fun! This time the Lolitas and Lads have traveled back in time to the era of the Greek Gods and Goddesses and these images designed by Christina Dee are absolutely amazing. I promise that you are going to love all six of the previews leading up to the release on January 20th (Jan. 19th for those of us in the States).

Today we've got a bit of a gender switch-a-roo going on as Kellita is taking on the role of Orpheus. Orpheus was the son of Apollo and the Muse Calliope and while he wasn't actually a Greek God but rather a musician and a poet, it is said that Orpheus' music and song were so enticing that they could charm the very birds from the trees, soothe Cerberus and bring the Furies to tears. He was also one of Jason's Argonauts during the quest to recover the Golden Fleece.

So even if we are taking a few liberties, I think that Kellita makes for a gorgeous ancient Greek songstress. She certainly seems to have her own musical magic about her. As for my card, this was an easy one... girly and pretty with plenty of flowers and critters for her to serenade. And when paired with this sentiment I think this becomes a lovely Valentine. :)

Now, as always it wouldn't be a Tickled Pink Stamps preview without a prize, so head on over to the Tickled Pink blog and leave a comment on today's post for a chance at winning your very own Kellita Orpheus digi stamp! He's like thunder, he's like lightening...

Hiya friends!

Today it is all about the boys and Luca has transformed himself into the mighty God Zeus! Zeus was the king of the gods. The god of sky and weather, law, order, and fate. His usual attributes include a lightning bolt, royal scepter and/or eagle. This guy was was quite the play-ah and definitely had a way with the ladies, LOL! Which makes for some very interesting stories and even more interesting children... including everyone's favorite strong man, Hercules! ;)

As far as our Luca/Zeus goes though, I like him more for the energy and confidence that he seems to exude. How great is he for that motivational or job well done type of card for that special guy in your life?
Which is exactly what I put together here. Guy cards can be kinda hard for me because I struggle with how to embellish them. Luckily I had just gotten this great Fun Day paper pad from my pal Lisa (thanks Lisa!) and this print totally conveyed the look I was going for with Zeus. After that I don't think it needed much else. :)

Now, as always it wouldn't be a Tickled Pink Stamps preview without a prize, so head on over to the Tickled Pink blog and leave a comment on today's post for a chance at winning your very own Luca Zeus digi stamp! And while you are there be sure to check out all of the fantastic cards that my fellow Pink Ladies have created too!

She's a real wild one...

Hello again!

I'm back with another brand new rubber stamp preview from Tickled Pink!

Today Lylah is taking on the role of the Goddess Artemis.
She's the goddess of hunting, wilderness and wild animals. She was also a goddess of childbirth, and the protectress of girl children. Not only that but she was also the twin sister of Apollo, and where he is associated with the sun, Artemis has the moon... I always loved the yin and yang of that. :)
That is why I kept the circle framing her and the stag... kinda going for a subtle full moon effect back there. The rest of the card design also includes some tree trunks and leaves for Artemis' wilderness home. And while I like her paired with a motivational sentiment, next time I color her up I think I'll fussy cut the deer away and use her for a fun Valentine... gotta love that extra stamp versatility.

Now, as always it wouldn't be a Tickled Pink Stamps preview without a prize, so head on over to the Tickled Pink blog and leave a comment on today's post for a chance at winning your very own Lylah Artemis digi stamp! And while you are there be sure to check out the beautiful cards that my fellow Pink Ladies have created too!

Traveling to Mount Olympus with TP...

Hello, friendly neighborhood stampers!

I know that it's been awhile but are you ready for a brand new rubber stamp release from Tickled Pink?! We are super excited to be kicking off the year with some fresh, new images that are different and fun! This time the Lolitas and Lads have traveled back in time to the era of the Greek Gods and Goddesses.

In the past I have admitted that I'm quite a nerd about certain things and the mythology of the Greek Gods is definitely one of those 'nerd areas' for me, LOL! I think I read my first stories of them back in elementary school and I have been hooked ever since. There has been so much great art created throughout history based off of the characters and stories from Mount Olympus. As well as a lot of fun pop culture takes on them as well. In fact, some of my most fave 'guilty pleasure' historical romance novels are re-imaginings of some of the Greek God tales... just check out Dazzling Brightness (Hades & Persephone), Shimmering Splendor (Eros & Psyche), Enchanted Fire (Orpheus & Eurydice), Thrice Bound (Hekate & Kabeiros) and Bull God (Dionysus & Ariadne) all by Roberta Gellis. I highly recommend them all! ;)

So anyway, you can imagine how excited I have been for this stamp release. And we are starting the whole thing off with Lilith's powerful take on the Goddess Athena. She is the goddess of wisdom and crafts, war and strategy, inventions in science, industry, art, and agriculture. She is best known as the olive-giving patron of her namesake, Athens. Not to mention that she looks just plain cool in her robes and armor, LOL! As far as cards go, I think she makes a great alternative for the traditional cap and gown type graduation cards and is fantastic for general achievement cards like this one too.

Now, as always it wouldn't be a Tickled Pink Stamps preview without a prize, so head on over to the Tickled Pink blog and leave a comment on today's post for a chance at winning your very own Lilith Athena stamp! And while you are there be sure to check out the gorgeous cards that my fellow Pink Ladies have created too! :)

A perfect fit

Hiya sweeties!

I know that it has been awhile, what with the holiday break that we took, but we've finally got a brand new challenge
over on the Tickled Pink challenge blog today! And we are easing back into the swing of things with a super easy and constant favorite... anything goes theme. Yep, create and play in any way that your heart desires just so long as you use a Tickled Pink cutie somewhere on your card or creation. :)

Considering that I'm still on a Valentine's Day kick, my anything goes card went in that direction. Though I did veer away from the traditional heart day colors and motifs to try for something a bit different looking. To be honest, ever since my In Stitches Tia card, I haven't been able to get away from the idea of my stamped characters acting like "The Littles" or "The Borrowers". So when I spotted these Button Boutique stamps in my stash I thought it would be cute to have a Tickled Pink couple interacting with it. I had to use Eric 'cause he is just my most fave of the Lads and Kellita was almost perfect for slipping behind the button card. Only one problem, her eyes weren't looking towards her 'perfect fit'. So I wiped away the insides of her eyes before stamping then redrew in some new irises. And I really like how by trimming out her arm, it looks like Kellita is trying to carry those buttons off. :)

Ok, now it's time for you to get creative, check out the amazing inspiration from the rest of the design team girls and play along with us this week. There is a free digi of your choice up for grabs and the winner is now selected by random generator!
Don't forget that your card must feature a Tickled Pink stamp in order to qualify for the prize... these include: Lil Lolitas and Lads, Pinkettes, Pink Pets and Cherries. All of which can be found in the Tickled Pink store.

Good luck everybody!
