Love you lots...

TGIF my friends!

It's been a while but I inked up one of the pretty Girl stamps from Felicity Jane yesterday. I'm still bummed that they stopped making their stamps and kits a couple years back and that I still have a few of their Girl stamps missing from my collection that I really want to track down somehow. But in the meantime, it felt good to ink up Bailey Girl who is blowing kisses and create a Valentine's Day card with her. I paired Bailey with the Sketchy Corner Backdrop from Stamping Bella to give the scene an urban flair with lots of rosy pinks and warm colors. :)

Alrighty, I'm off. Have a good one!

You make my heart flutter...

Hey, hey!

I had already made a card using the little Loch Ness Monster from the Impronte d'Autore Perfect Mix set last summer and now I really wanted to get some of the cute pegasus from that set onto their own card. A mini slimline size gave me some extra height for them to fly around in and I stamped the grumpy guy down at the bottom. When I was coloring them I thought it would be fun to add some kisses on grumpy's face to make it look like the other three have been giving him smooches. The sweet sentiment plays off the story of these adorable flying horses perfectly and the sprinkling of enamel hearts add to the love theme. :)

Smooches!

The sweetest part of my day...

Howdy folks!

I was recently cleaning up my desk and putting away some of my newest Greeting Farm stamps, when I got this idea to mash up the Anya from the Anya Loves Sushi set with some of the baking accoutrements included in the Baking Anya set. I stamped and masked the bowls, flour and rolling pin before stamping Anya behind them. I didn't ink up the sides or front of her sushi table so that I was left with the counter top filling the entire bottom half of the card. Once everything was in place I colored in the cookie dough by hand to help bring the story to life. As a finishing touch I added white ink around the dough as the flour sprinkled on the counter. All together it creates a really cute scene of Anya making heart shaped cookies to give to her sweetheart on Valentine's Day. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

You're the coolest...

Hey there!

This
Purple Onion Designs scene has been stamped and sitting on my desk for over a year and with the current arctic blast low temps that we've been experiencing, the ice fishing theme was finally speaking to me.
Snow Cap, the seal, has been joined by Wren, the little bird with the fishing net, at their favorite fishing hole. Wren was flipped using a mirror stamp so that the two friends would be facing each other. The fishing hole and bucket of fish are actually part of the Arthur stamp, I simply chose not to ink up Arthur, the polar bear, for this particular scene. The background is the Frozen Pond stamp and the sentiment is from The Great Outdoors Sentiment set. The photo has blown out most of the detail that was colored into the ice but I promise these cuties aren't just sitting on flat, white cardstock, LOL!

Laters!  :)

A sweet treat...

Good morning!

During the Sweet November review Live this past weekend I had fun turning the cute little Frappe Mouse from the Limited Edition More Than Coffee set into a super sweet Valentine. Rather than fill his cup with a coffee blend, I opted for a delicious strawberry frappe in pretty pink hues. When it came time to color in a background my fellow crafters wanted to see a cute tablecloth decorated with hearts and some jars of candy on the wall behind. I'm not gonna lie, the jars of candy had me a bit nervous but I think they turned out pretty cool and I really enjoyed getting pushed outside my comfort zone. The pink and red combo also works for this month's challenge in the Friends of Sweet November Stamps Facebook group, and there is still plenty of time to play along for a chance at winning a $30 gift certificate to the store. :)

Have a good one!

Love ya...

Hello, hello!

It's a review weekend at Sweet November Stamps and I was drawn back to the Baby Cupids digi collection that released last year. They are such classic cuties for  Valentine's day cards so I printed out Cupid and the Dove and colored them for a quick reel over on Instagram, which will be followed up with a longer speed coloring video on the Sweet November Stamps YouTube channel. I'll also be coloring some more Valentine goodness during my Live this morning over on the Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page.

Later gators!

A hug is all you need...

Hello friends!

I'm back on the Blogabella with a new Scenic Saturday card to share. My current card making mood has been leaning towards Valentine's Day, or rather more general themes of love and friendship. So it was that theme which I had in mind when searching for a stamp to be the star of the show today. When I came across Curvy Girl Vet, I fell in love with her armful of furry friends but I didn't need a vet themed card. I wasn't going to let that stop me from inking her up though.

When it came down to it, transforming this Curvy Girl Vet into a more generic cat lover was as easy as wiping the ink from the pocket on her shirt that held her stethoscope then simply drawing in the missing line. From there, just coloring her pants as jeans and adding a stripe print to the shirt transformed her scrubs into a cute and casual outfit. To help create a simple indoor background I stamped the floor lamp from the retired Room Decor Lamp and Frames set, slightly behind Curvy Girl. This, along with the little mouse shaped cat toy that I sketched onto the floor, were all I needed to set the cozy scene. The large sentiment was stamped onto an oversized word bubble die cut that fills the entire top half of the card for a fun change up to my usual scenes. Before gluing it to the card front I used a pair of scissors to cut down around Curvy Girl's head, allowing me to tuck the large word bubble behind her. A sprinkling of enamel hearts floating around these furry friends adds to the love theme that I initially set out to create. I hope this inspires you to look at the stamps in your Bella stash, that with a simple twist or two, can be transformed into something completely new.  :)

Stay crafty my friends!
