Your next era...

Hey there!

It's day 2 of Summer release sneak peeks at Stamping Bella and the team and I are continuing to showcase new stamps that will be available for purchase on Monday, April 28th at noon EST. For my  second preview card I've inked up one of the three Taylor Swift inspired Uptown Girls, Uptown Girl Loves to Sing. She's all decked out in her sparkly boots and body suit, singing her heart out in front of a sold out crowd of fans. Not being a huge Swiftie myself, I Googled photos of her Eras tour to find the perfect inspiration for the background that I colored in. The sentiment is from the new Shake it Off Sentiment set that is also part of the upcoming release.

Laters!

Beach vibes...

TGIF my friends!

Summer release sneak peeks start today at Stamping Bella and over the next three days the rest of the team and I will be sharing cards using all of the new stamps that will be available for purchase on Monday, April 28th at noon EST. Today I'm kicking off my preview cards with this black and white scene starring the fabulous Oddball Beach Girl. She may be finding herself exposed to the sand and sea but that doesn't mean she is going to walk away with a tan, LOL! By limiting the color palette to just the C family of Copic markers the whole card takes on the look of an old time photo. The sentiment is from the new Beach Vibes Sentiment set that is also part of the upcoming release.

Ok, I'll see ya back here tomorrow for Day 2 of sneak peeks!

Just chicken in...

Hey, hey!

Here we go with another card that was colored during the Swing into Spring clear release weekend at Sweet November Stamps. Saturday afternoon I worked on this fun farm scene using the Bountiful Blessings: Good Egg set and an old Farm Background set that I designed for Dreamerland Crafts back in the day. My first card using this set had her gathering eggs so this time around I wanted her to be feeding the chickens. Since they are just living their lives as happy free range fowl we also sketched in a fence to keep them protected from accidentally crossing any roads... LOL! Anywho, it was a great way to wrap up the first full day of coloring.  :)

Laters!

So glad our paths have crossed...

Hi there!

A couple of really great sales have just popped up in the Purple Onion Designs store that I wanted to share with everyone. The first is a 50% OFF Sale section that has just had a bunch of stamps added to it, and Michele has also put together some fun Bundle Blowout sets that pair up a mix of stamps at a discounted price. I love the Bundle idea so much that I am challenging myself to create as many cards as I can using them before the sale ends. It just feels like a fun challenge to have certain stamps already paired together for you. I started with the Adventures Ahead Stamp Bundle and all that I was missing is the Treeline Horizon so I replaced it with the Countryside Horizon. I also couldn't resist throwing in a couple of trees from the Birch Tree Background as well. The scene came together so quickly, having all the characters and background accessories chosen for me and once I started coloring it wasn't long before I had a lovely spring hiking scene ready for a card base. The sentiment is part of The Great Outdoors sentiment set and once it was stamped into place the card was complete.

Well, I hope you have fun perusing both sales and I'll see ya back here in 24!   :)

Dancers don't need wings to fly...

Hi friends!

I'm back with another card from the Swing into Spring clear release weekend Lives that I did over on the Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page. These energetic wees from the Fairwee Twirl set were from the first Live on Saturday morning and we kicked things off with a lot of bright, fun colors. Some of the little bees from the Flutterbee Beatrice set are also buzzing with excitement on this postage collage card design. Once the coloring was all done and the video wrapped up, I added postage details using the Year Round Post Marks set. I'll be the first to admit that hot pink isn't a color I use all that often but it totally suits these flamboyant little dancers!

Thanks for stopping by!

You're a real gem...

Good morning!

I've got another completed card to share from the Swing into Spring clear release weekend Lives that I did over on the Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page. This one took place on Sunday morning, where I paired the super cute May Emerald Dragon with the Cave Dwelling Background Builder set. In the cave opening I chose to add the lake mini background, giving this little dragon a beautiful view to enjoy. We went over a lot about coloring light and shadows and how to make a gem stone look extra shiny, so it was a lot of fun. We also experimented with a new purple combo for the dragon's scales so as to really play up the spring colors throughout this magical scene. I gotta say, this was definitely one of my faves from that weekend!

Toodles!  :)

Just Bee-cause...

Hi friends!

It's a review weekend at Sweet November Stamps and the team and I are continuing to showcase stamps from the new Swing into Spring clear release. I'm sharing the card that I colored during the final Live over on the Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page last weekend, featuring sweet little Flutterbee Beatrice and her bumblebee friends. I also borrowed some extra flowers from the Spring Garden Critters set and sketched them into a couple more pots so that the bees had plenty of pollen to gather. Once the coloring was all done, I went about putting the card together using a mix of stamps from the Waffle Flower XL Postage Collage set and the spring post mark from the Year Round Post Marks set. Talk about the cutest faux postage stamp out there, LOL!  :)

Thanks for stopping by!
