Happily fluttering by...

Hello, hello!

I'm happy to report that I was able to find a new love seat yesterday and I'm sitting pretty once again, LOL! I also managed to do a bit more retail therapy while I was in town so I got back home later than I had intended. So you know what that means... quick card time again. ;)

I needed a jumping off point to get me started so I headed over to the Flutter By challenge for some inspiration. It's a color challenge this week to use orange, pink and green... as soon as I saw that I knew just the paper that I wanted to use. This summer stripe pattern may just be my most favorite KI Memories paper evah. So I whipped together a quick background with it and then went to my Stamping Bella binder for a small image to color up in a flash. The Pixie set by Christy Croll caught my eye but the pixie that I really wanted to use had a solid head of hair that once stamped would be the color of my ink and I wanted to be able to color it in. So I stamped her once on regular computer paper, wiped her clean then inked up everything but her hair and stamped her on my Copic X-Press It. Then I used my light box to trace only the outline of the original hair back onto the pixie and voila! instant color-able hair. Ok, maybe not so instant... due to my altering I didn't quite make this one in half an hour but I did get it done in just under an hour. Not too shabby if ya ask me! :)

Alrighty, best for me to get going with my day... have a great one!

Hi Amy. So happy to hear that you were able to find a new love seat. It just makes you so happy when you walk into your house and see a piece of furniture that you really really enjoy. lol.... Weird, I know. Anyway this card is just so cute! I love her green hair and I am glad you took the extra time. I am sure it would not have been as cute with the black inked hair Love, love the paper and the way you have used your baker's twine. Where are the leaves from? They are just too cool. Love it. Have a wonderful Saturday my friend. I am hoping the sun decides to make an appearance. We'll see. :O) Hugs, Lisa
