Birthday Girl...

Howdy stampin' peeps!

Well we beat the low temp from the other night and 'enjoyed' a whopping 5 degrees last night. I have to say that it is hard to drag myself out of a warm and cozy bed on freezing cold mornings like this. I might just have to hop back under the covers after this and snuggle with Oreo a bit longer. :)

Today I have a card that I made for this month's SOG sketch challenge. And because they are celebrating their 3rd birthday this week I was inspired to make this a birthday card as well. I did a slight bit of altering by cutting the tulip out of Gwen in Bloom's hand and replacing it with the present accent stamp that comes with the Deer Mae stamp set. It was an easy way to make her work within the birthday theme that I was going for.
The papers aren't really from a traditional birthday paper collection instead they are part of the Simple Stories Snap line that is made more for PL scrapbooking. Still, I love the mix of colors and since a birthday has to fall somewhere on the calendar I thought that it made for a cool background. ;)

Alrighty, relax and enjoy your Sunday... maybe even get a bit crafty too!

Amy this is very very cute! I just love your papers with her. I really love the idea that the calender paper helps point out that it is her Birthday. :O) I see that you are using the enamel dots. Don't you just love those? I still have a few left in my stash and I am so hoping to get me some more of them. I think they are my new addiction. lol... I of course love your coloring and how her outfit really brings out the colors in you papers as well. I wish I looked this cute in a dress like hers. Got to love that orange with pink. Smashing for sure! Is Downton Abbey on tonight? I sure hope so. I am going to have all my crafting done before 8pm just to make sure. Have a warm and cozy day with your fur babies. Hugs, Lisa
