Hello...

Hello, hello!

Are you feeling the TGIF vibes yet? It is positively gorgeous here, the sun is shining making it nice and warm outside. The lilacs and apple trees are all blooming so the fresh air smells amazing. I am SO happy that spring is officially upon us. And even though I'll be spending the better part of the day busy at work there is just something about a fabulous spring day that lifts the spirits no matter what. :)

My card today is imagining what that same spring day might be like in a fairy's forest glen. I've used the Pixie digi stamp from Some Odd Girl because I wanted to play along in their new sketch challenge for May and her sitting pose worked really well within the design of the sketch. I may have gotten a bit carried away and had this little pixie spending a bit too much time out in the sun because I couldn't stop adding freckles all over her, LOL! But when your days consist of cavorting with forest critters from dawn 'til dusk I suppose it can't be helped. ;)
I pulled together more random scraps of paper, all coordinating back to that great forest print by October Afternoon that I came across first. I added the brown borders and faux stitching to help the mix of patterns play nicely together. Once I had it all together I couldn't resist giving Pixie another little birdie friend to keep her company. It feels great getting so much use out of my die collection on this card.

Okey dokey, I'm off like a cheap suit.
See ya!

AWE She is sooooo cute!!! love her freckles you gave her. What a super cute card!! everything flows perfectly! Well Brooke has her Opera performance tonight. She has gained an extra part too due to one of her class mates having to have her appendix taken out!! Which is the role Brooke wanted to have in the 1st place. It should be interesting to see. I thought it odd for 1st graders to be performing an Opera. I think in 4th
they are going to teach them to play the violin. Which is pretty awesome to be able to learn. Well have a Wonderful Weekend!! I have Mother's Day project I am needing to finish!
Hugs, Heidi & Brooke

Amy this card is just amazing! I love EVERYTHING about it and I have to tell ya this is my favorite card so far this year! She is just adorable sitting amoung her friends with her face full of freckles. I don't think you overdid anything as she looks like I would love to feel sitting out an enjoying it all. (minus any bees of course. lol) Hope you have a great Friday. I have to work today and tomorrow, but like you we are all sunshine and beauty over her. Hugs, Lisa

Oh my gosh Amy, you did it again. She is so adorable with all those freckles. Love the forest background paper and the birdie. There's something so earthy about using that brown card stock behind each layer. We're lucky enough to have the house open this morning because by this afternoon we'll be over 100° and have to close up and turn the air on. Have a beautiful day.
