Just mermazing...

Hello again! 

Yesterday Sweet November Stamps released the Teen Self Esteem digi collection in conjunction with the National Teen Self Esteem Instagram hop that is going on. Jasmin Oliver is the host of this hop which is a way for us to celebrate confidence building in the younger generation, who face so much pressure in these social media saturated times. She has enlisted an amazing group of crafty companies to participate as sponsors and there are a ton of awesome prizes up for grabs for those who participate, so be sure to check it out.  

Because MerMay is also still going strong we thought it would be fun to put together a collection of young girls spending time on the beach that can then also be transformed into cute mermaids. These Teen Self Esteem girls/mermaids are Charlie, Lexie and Kumi. The collection also includes a set of three digital sentiments that tie into this whole theme mash up as well.

Yesterday I colored this fun scene Live over on my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page using the human version of Lexie and the mermaid version of Charlie. Because I wanted Charlie to look like she was popping out of the waves but still wanted to see more of her tail I actually cropped and flipped Kumi's fin and placed it behind Charlie. After a bit of a rough start with Facebook being a stinker and a sticky marker, I was finally able to get into my coloring groove and create this fun beach scene with the help of everyone there.
