Hey there!
I know it hasn't been that long since I posted the last SSC Slumber card but I got my light box back in commission so I was able to finish altering this version of her and get her on a card. I like her so much with her new open eyes that I didn't want to wait any longer to post this one. I used Fairest as my template to trace on the new eyes and just moved the pupils down a bit as well. I've paired my not-so-sleepy Slumber with a pretty new paper pad by My Mind's Eye, this Now & Then collection is really gorgeous.
While I was putting this card together I decided to try out the white version of the Pebbles rub-ons that I had... afraid to find out that I would have to chuck them just like the gold ones. I am happy to report that the white still went on like butter. Whew, what a relief! I'm still super bummed about the crappy gold ones but at least I should be able to use up this sheet of sentiments at my leisure. :)
Ok then, thanks for dropping by and I'll catch ya on the flip side!

Purrr-fect...
Hello again!
My sister, Tracy, runs her own dog grooming business and she recently decided that she wants to also sell some animal themed greeting cards in her shop. As her card making big sister I've volunteered to make the cards she needs and this little Otsu card is amongst the first batch that I'm giving to her. This cute little Sister Stamps kitty is a recent purchase from CC Designs now that they are carrying SS again and I love him. And with this new project ahead of me I'm really hoping that a whole kitten set will be released from SS in the near future... fingers crossed!
Alrighty, I've got to wrap this up and get a move on. TTYL! :)

Happy Birthday...
Olo!
So far it's shaping up to be a beautiful weekend. When the sun is shining like this it has me itchin' to get out and start planting some flowers but the chilly nights are still making it a bit early for that. So instead, I find myself stamping in the crafty room, which is always a good time too. :)
I'm entering today's card into this week's FFF challenge over at The Greeting Farm, it's an easy peasy one... paper piecing. Up Up Bean has been patiently waiting on my desk to see a little inky love and this seemed like just the challenge for her. I used some new Doodlebug paper to piece both her hat and the balloons. I added a bit of shading to both with my trusty Copics and I really like how the balloons now look kinda transparent with confetti flying inside them. And since Up Up looks to be celebrating I went ahead and made this a CAS birthday card.
Ok then, time for me to get ready for work.
Have a good one!
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It
paper- Doodlebug (Sugar Shoppe)
stamps- The Greeting Farm (Up Up Bean), Hero Arts (sentiment)

Doodlebug Sugar Shoppe Sprinkles
Copic Spica glitter pen
Copic markers:

Sparkle...
Hello, hello!
TGIF everybody! Today I'm playing along with this month's challenge over on the Some Odd Girl blog. It's called Pot o' Gold and we are to use any metallic, shiny, or glittery gold paper or embellishments on our cards along with a SOG cutie of course. ;)
I had Happy Gwen already printed out and ready to go so it was her turn to make it onto a card. As for the gold accents, surprise, surprise... sequins! I also threw in some gold washi tape for good measure. I was also going to use a gold rub-on sentiment but that was a bust. Yea, I was not a happy camper at all. I got these "lovely" Pebbles sentiments in a card kit six months ago and used one of them right away without any complaints. But when I went to use them yesterday they were total crap-o-la, they just wouldn't stick to the paper at all. Now I've used quite a few rub-ons in my day and I've never had any go this bad this quickly... I was equally shocked and disappointed. So this is my little PSA for the day... if you feel like gambling and getting these rub-ons, be sure to use them up right away or you will find yourself having to throw away a whole sheet and feeling like a chump. :(
Ah well, despite that little set back I think the card turned out pretty cute in the end.
TTFN!

Hi...
Hi guys!
Apparently I needed to take a bit of a blogging break this past week. Life wasn't any busier than usual but for some reason I had a hard time getting into the crafty room. Happily, I'm feeling rejuvenated now and ready to jump right back into crafting and posting. :)
I guess you could say this card is my way of baby stepping back into everything. These now retired Kettos from Stamping Bella are still a favorite and since Madeline here was so quick to color she was just what I needed to get back into the swing of things. It also helped that she was already stamped and like everything else on this card, was pulled out of the mess on my desk. I even chose to use washi tape instead of pattern paper... shocker! ;)
And I think that sequins may just be my new embellishment love. The only thing that would make me happier is if they came in a few more smaller sizes so that I could really sprinkle 'em like my pearls and gems. But that is just nit picking really, I'm still smitten with them and predict that I'll be using them quite a bit in the near future.
Alrighty then, I'll talk at'cha later!
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It
stamp- Stamping Bella (Madeline Ketto)
ink- Memento tuxedo black, Prima shabby tote
Studio Calico ombre washi tape
Basic Grey fabric yo-yos
Doodlebug and Studio Calico sequins
Pebbles rub-on sentiment
Copic Spica glitter pen

Find your happy...
Olo!
It's been beautiful and sunny in my neck of the woods this week, all the snow has melted off and I've been enjoying afternoon walks with my dog every day. Life is pretty darn good at the moment. :)
Another thing that recently made me very happy was the return of Sister Stamps to the CC Designs store. I was able to get a few that had been on my 'must have' list for quite a while, as well as some of their newer stamps like little Harumi here. My very first roommate freshman year of college was named Harumi. She was part of a student exchange program from Japan and I still remember her, so this stamp really takes me back and makes me smile. I created a simple scene for this Harumi to live in with some random scraps of pattern paper... I'm a sucker for cloud prints just for this reason, LOL.
Alrighty, time for me to get busy. Thanks for stopping by and TGIF everybody!
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It
paper- Glitz (clouds), Sweet Water (green), Dear Lizzy (green floral)

Prima flowers
Kaiser Craft pearls
Martha Stewart butterfly punch
American Crafts Knock Out border punch

hair- T5, T7, T10

Enjoy your special day...
Hello, hello!
I received the third installment of my Greeting Farm SSC subscription this past weekend and was delighted to see the princess theme continue. This little sleeping beauty is called Slumber... so cute! I actually stamped up a version of her without the closed eyes and was going to open them up with some altering but alas, after ten years the light bulb in my faithful old lightbox finally went out. So I'm either going to have to replace the bulb or look for a new one. Despite the set back I decided to go ahead and make a card with Slumber just how she is and I have to admit that even with closed eyes she's totes adorbs. She's actually very demure and dainty looking as she bats those long lashes of hers don'tcha think? :)
And since I was coloring up a TGF stamp I decided to check out this week's FFF challenge and play along. It's an easy one... birthday cards, all I needed was the right sentiment and Slumber makes for a perfectly girlie little birthday card. I've gotta say, it's been so much fun getting these stamp club stamps each month that I went ahead and signed back up for another term and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for TGF versions of Belle and Tiana soon. ;)
Toodles!
