So very merry...

Good news my friends!

I was able to bring my mom home from the hospital on Friday and she is doing amazingly well. So much stronger than the first time she was released and she is working hard with her physical therapy. I am so proud of her and the progress that she is making. It finally feels like we are all on the road back to normalcy. You can read a big sigh of relief there. :)

And since everything is going so well I was able to get into my crafty room yesterday and just play. Mom was actually pretty insistent that I make a card since I have been such a slacker in that department lately (my words not hers, LOL) and I'll be honest, it felt really good. I had started coloring up this Anya Celebrates a month or so ago but only got as far as her skin so yesterday I thought she would look good on a Christmas card with that big present of hers. I only tweaked her a bit by adding some holly berries to her hair clip and with a lot of red and green she was ready to celebrate the season. Doodlebug is always a great match with the Greeting Farm cuties so when I spotted this print in my scrap bag it was a natural choice. The layout is super simple but with the busy print I didn't want to do anything too crazy. That and I've been feeling kinda rusty lately. Amy needs to get her groove back so I'm baby stepping until that happens. ;)

Alrighty, it's a brand new week and I should be getting ready for work. Have a good one everybody!

Hey, I'm baby stepping all the time. I wish my baby step cards would all turn out as your current card Amy. Still trying to get the hang of colouring my images LOL.
So happy things are really looking up for your mum. You've been so quiet all week, I was kind of worried your mom might have had a setback after the drains were taken out last week.
Big cyber hugs to all of you!
