Love and joy...

Hello, hello!

Like it or not, we are at the final weekend before Christmas day. I hope everyone has gotten all their shopping, wrapping, and general hustle and bustle done so that you can sit back and enjoy the holiday.  :)

I finally inked up this Fairy Holly stamp from Penny Black for my card today. I've had her since last year but I think all the folds and pleats in that skirt scared me off just a bit. I was finally feeling up to the challenge yesterday and tried my best to give this fairy a silky, satin looking Christmas gown. It took a bit of time but I have to say that I'm pretty pleased with the end result. I did end up altering her just a touch by snipping off the points on her wings so that they didn't look like holly leaves anymore. I thought about snipping her wings off entirely but with those fab pointy shoes I just had to keep the fairy magic alive. The papers are a mix of Making Memories and October Afternoon and as always, I pulled my Copic colors from them. What can I say, it's my thing and I like how it stretches me to come up with different Copic combos. :)

Well, thanks for stopping by and I'll catch ya tomorrow!
