Hello...

Good morning!

As I was getting ready to make cards for next week's CCD previews I came across this adorable little stamp that somehow got lost in the shuffle this month. Seeing as how today is the last day of February I had to remedy the situation by getting this chipper duo onto a card just in the nick of time.  :)

The stamp is called Splish Splash and it is part of Roberto's Rascals February release. These cute chickadees were quick to color and I even added some Glossy Accents to the puddle for some extra 'pop'. The papers are from the new Charmed Life 6x6 paper pad by Simple Stories. The bold kelly green paired with mustard and navy isn't a color combo that I'm usually drawn to but I ended up having a lot of fun with it on this card... it had just the right look for a pair of chicks enjoying a spring shower.

Alrighty then, have a great weekend and I hope to see you back here for the CC Designs sneak peeks in a couple days. I'll give ya a hint... the Easter Bunny is on his way...   ;)

You're freakin' great...

Hey there!

Sorry about my absence the last few days but I've had some stuff come up that is taking a lot of my time. It's not health issues or anything, everyone is fine, but it is just something I'm dealing with at the moment and it will probably keep my posting here kinda erratic for the next week or so. But that doesn't mean I won't try to make it into my crafty room every chance that I get. ;)

Yesterday I sat down at my desk with the goal of getting a card done for this week's Farm Fresh challenge over at The Greeting Farm. It's a photo inspiration, which I'm always drawn to, and I took the navy/aqua/mint/cream color combo for my inspiration. I've used a couple of Creepers along with a bit of altering to create this sassy little diva. I've had the head of the Hallo Bride Creeper digi sitting on my desk ever since I used her body this past Halloween and I thought that with just a bit of a hair cut she could make for a cute short haired chick. Then I paired her up with Creeper Piper's body and she was ready to strut her stuff. I may be biased but I think she turned out pretty cool. :)

Alrighty then, I'll catch ya later!

Forget me not...

Welcome to the weekend everybody!

While the weather still hasn't made up it's mind here... one day it snows, the next it all melts off... I've decided to move on with my spring themed card making once and for all. :)

Sad to say, this baby fairy has been stamped and sitting on my desk for the better part of a year just waiting to make it onto a card. Since I just got a brand new set of these baby sprites from Penny Black I figured I should color up this cutie from the Fairy Sweet set before diggin' into the new ones. Plus I have this great sheet of paper from the Pebbles Garden Party collection that looks like pretty seed packets which I've been really wanting to use. I chose the Forget Me Nots as they most looked like the little flower the fairy is holding and went from there. With so much going on in the paper this ended up being one of the rare cards that I saved the sentiment for the inside, it says 'Sending Love, Just Because'.

Well, that's all I've got for today. Thanks for stopping by and I'll catch ya manana!

Cake and candles...

Good morning!

Is it Thursday already? Sheesh, where did this week go? It feels like I had all this time to get stuff done and none of it really happened... what a slacker I've been. To prove that fact, this card that I'm sharing isn't even one I made this week. Nope, it is about a month old but I had a good reason for waiting to post it here.

You see, my bloggin' buddy Berenice contacted me way back in December about her niece Jessica, and how she wanted to surprise Jess with one of my birthday cards in person. I was more than happy to help Berenice out, and even more so when she sent me this fabulous digi stamp to use on my card. Not only is Jess a fellow color enthusiast, but she is also a young entrepreneur who started her own little digi shop to help raise money for her college education and this Cupcake Time image is from her shop; Jess' College Fund. This pretty birthday baker was a dream to color and with the scene she is in I really didn't want to fuss up the rest of the card too much.

So I mailed it off to Berenice last month and Jessica had it for her birthday here in February... Happy Birthday Jessica and I hope your digi shop continues to grow and grow!  :)

I like you a latte...

Hi guys!

Sorry about being MIA these last couple days, it was the Red, Wine, and Chocolate weekend in town so I was extra busy at work. Which wouldn't have been so bad if we hadn't have gotten slammed with snow all day Saturday. I'm really not a fan of that ol' groundhog who predicted six more weeks of winter because this is getting ridiculous.

All that white on the ground must have been what inspired me to go ahead and make another winter themed card. I know I mentioned a few weeks back that I had originally gotten Skyward Anya for her altering capabilities and this amalgamation of Anyas is the result of that idea. I used Cuddle Anya's head with the face on her hat wiped away and the bear ears trimmed off. I then paired Skyward's body with Latte Anya's to-go cup and a drawn in arm and they all came together to make this winter ready sweetie. The colors for her outfit where actually inspired by my own winter coat and scarf... it's definitely hard to miss that bright orange when you are out in a winter wonderland, LOL!

Alrighty then, time to get another week started.
TTYL!

Love you...

Happy Valentine's Day!

I got the final Night Out Miss Anya that was left to be colored onto my last Valentine for the year. This little girlie is looking pretty in pink for her big romantic date with Ian tonight. Hmmm... which has me thinking, we really need a Night Out Ian set to go with. I would totally buy that in a heart beat! I guess I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed that Marie will grant my wish someday soon. :)
The papers are from last year's Basic Grey collection called True Love and to be honest I didn't really think I would use this particular print with the roses, certainly not first out of the pad any way. But as per usual lately, I'm drawn to anything that makes the creating process quick and easy. A bit of sparkle and a pearl heart for Anya to hold on to and I was done.

Alrighty then, be sure to eat some chocolate today because we all know that it what makes Valentine's Day really great, LOL! ;)

J'adore...

Hi guys!

I'm trying to squeeze in a couple more Valentines before the fourteenth arrives. For this one I grabbed the Pink Ribbon Mae digi that I had previously printed out and paper pieced her dress so that the ribbon didn't show anymore. This made her a bit more generic and suitable for a Valentine rather than rallying for a cause, plus that tiny floral print just makes for a pretty little cocktail dress. ;)
The paper is an older My Mind's Eye 6x6 pad and to be honest I didn't really think that I would ever use that Eiffel Tower print. But as I was pulling sheets and trying them out with Mae I really liked how it kind of set the scene without me having to dig out a bunch of embellishments. I think that Mae looks quite pleased to be spending her Valentine's Day in the city of love.

Okey dokey, time to get this day started.

As wonderful as you...

Good morning!

Anyone out there a Walking Dead fan? I was so excited to see it make it's return last night. Even though I know that there is no way I would ever survive a zombie apocalypse (coloring with Copics is hardly a top survival skill, LOL)... I love this show. And what's the best way to kill time during commercial breaks? Why stamping and making a card of course. ;)

How could I not, once this darling new stamp arrived in my mailbox this weekend? This is Tress and she is the newest release from The Greeting Farm's SS Stamp Club. After Fairest last month I'm beginning to notice a theme... princesses! I hope it continues because I really want to see TGF versions of Belle and Ariel in the future too. As for Tress here, well, I think she is too cute for words. I did alter her a bit by getting rid of her nose but that is just personal preference as I like TGF images sans noses. And boy was that hair fun to color, which there is no shortage of with this pretty princess. Garden Party paper made it it's way onto another card already... I told you not to be surprised. Those pastels were just too lovely not to pair up with Tress.

Well, I've got some errands to run and a haircut appointment to get to so I'll catch y'all later.
Toodles!

Thinking of you...

Hey there!

Even though it is feeling far too early for spring out in the real world I couldn't resist putting a bit of springtime magic onto a card today. I got the Fairy Glen digis from Sugar Nellie back in the fall but had to wait to use most of them because I was on a Christmas card making roll at the time. Now that my card making has swung back into a more generic mode I'm excited to pull these sweeties back out and give them a home. First up is No Shell Like Home... this little fairy looks as if she is out for a stroll and has paused to let a family of snails cross the path. I had a lot of fun adding Glossy Accents to those snails so that they look quite moist and even made little glossy trails behind them, too bad my pic doesn't show it better though. As for the papers, I got my hands on some of the new Pebbles Garden Party collection and it is soooo pretty! Don't be surprised if more of it keeps popping up on my cards over the next few weeks... I love it so much! :)

Alrighty then, it's a day off for me today but there are a lot of chores that need to get done around here so I should best get a move on.
Later gators!

You're Dreamy...

Olo!

TGIF my friends! We are in the midst of a serious cold snap at the moment. I watched the temp dive down into the negative degrees the other night and I gotta say that it makes getting out of a nice, warm bed very hard in the morning. If I didn't have to get ready for work I'm thinkin' this would be a major sleep in day. Alas, I must bundle up and brave the big freeze. :)

I've got another Valentine card to share today. I got this Valentine Anya digi stamp from a TGF challenge win and I didn't want to miss getting her on to a card before the big happy heart day arrived. The paper and stickers all come from the new Doodlebug Sweetheart collection... I've said it before and I'll say it again, Doodlebug and TGF were made for each other. No wonder Anya looks right at home here.  ;)

Well thanks for stopping by!

Happy Spring...

Mornin' friends!

Here we are at the third and final day of the CC Designs February previews. We are featuring a few more stamps from Roberto's Rascals and today is all about the little animals. I've used the new Ducklings stamp for my card and with a bit of masking turned the original duo of ducklings into a whole team waddling off to the nearest pond. With the scene down below I decided to keep the rest of the card very CAS so I just balanced it with a couple swooshes of pretty paper and a sprinkling of enamel dots. Hey, it may be a little early to be thinkin' about spring but with these cute new stamps I can't help myself. :)

Now don't forget to head on over to the CCD blog today, the CCD team has created some super cute cards with these new critters. As always, there are chances to win the new stamps while you are there so don't miss that!  Ducklings along with the other February stamps and dies will be available for purchase at the CC Designs store tomorrow, February 6th at noon EST.

Good Day Sunshine...

Hello!

It's day two of the CC Designs February previews and Henry and Twila are back from Roberto's Rascals. Springtime showers are the theme and I've used the new Puddle Jumping stamp for my card today. It looks like Twila has donned her rain slicker to have some fun on a rainy afternoon. I colored her up to match these great Printshop papers because I love the mix of black, aqua, and yellow in the color palette... it's like sunshine on a cloudy day. :)

Heartfelt Thanks...

Hi guys!

CC Designs February previews are here and we are kicking things off with a brand new character whose been added to the CC Designs line-up. Please say hello to Olivia! For my card I used Olivia's Happy Day and with a name like that I just had to pair her up with some happy papers as well. I think the playful floral print suits this cheery little cutie to a 'T'. As always I've colored her up to match the paper's color palette and even though her outfit may look quite eclectic with all those colors going on Olivia can sure pull it off. ;)

Be sure to check out what the the rest of the CCD team have created over on the CCD blog today. Happy Valentine's day...

Hello, hello!

It's been a while so I pulled out one of my Gorjuss Girl stamps for today's card. She's called The Last Rose and I love her hair and outfit but the original image has her standing in a flower pot... which I've found kind of limiting. So I decided to do a bit of altering and wipe away the flower pot as well as her closed eyes before stamping. Then I grabbed one of my trusty multi-liner pens and drew in her missing feet as well as some open eyes. That made this little Gorjuss Girl much easier for me to work with. And I guess the altering didn't end there because I also replaced the leaf she was originally holding with a die cut heart since I ended up using her for a Valentine. I used some more paper from the Love Notes paper pad and even paper pieced her dress with that pretty floral print. I'm happy that I can now cross The Last Rose off my 'never been inked' list and I love how she turned out. :)

Later gators!
