Happy Birthday...

My card today is a mix of old and new stamps, all of which are part of the sale. Tofu Birthday Wishes is from the newest Chilliezgraphy by Pei collection, Spring is in the Air, while the Buffet Party Table is from an older Stacey Yacula collection. They felt like a natural pairing to me and with some quick masking of Tofu and stamping of the table over top, this happy party scene was set. The big happy birthday from the Outliners Sentiment set was stamped and heat embossed on clear vellum for a bit of a different look, I really like how it mimics the opacity of the birthday balloons floating in the background. What a cute way to celebrate someone's special day.  :)

A Mermazing Birthday...

Hello, hello! 

Guess who was going through her mermaid stamps yesterday and realized that this fun set from Whimsy Stamps was still waiting to see some inky love? The set is called Mermaid Moments and it is designed by the amazing Crissy Armstrong. There are three beautiful mermaids included in the set and I chose this demure darling and the little goldfish that is also part of the set. The scenery and sentiment are from a retired Simon Says Stamp set and it created the perfect place for this little mermaid to stop and rest. The soft and simple background was done using the Copic airbrush system which saved me some time pulling this card together. I'm so happy that I finally found time to make this card happen.

On your b-day...

Good morning!

This past Saturday I did a Live coloring using the new digital stamp release at Sweet November Stamps called, Birthday Cookies. They are just the latest addition to our popular cookie themed digi line-up and they really do make for the sweetest birthday cards out there. For this card I combined the party bunting and boy cookie from Cookie set 2 with the girl cookie from Cookie set 3. I also brought in the older alphabet set and the cooling rack for them all to rest on. It was suggested early on in the Live that we go with a fun primary color scheme that harkens back to those classic birthday parties from a time before the popularity of themed parties. I gotta say, I don't pull out the primaries to work with very often so this was a fun change of pace and I think the end result definitely has a kind of retro vibe to it which is so cute!

Delicious birthday cookies at Sweet November!

 

Hello friends!

There's a new digital stamp release at Sweet November Stamps today and we are once again adding to the popular cookie collections with Birthday Cookies. There are three bundles of fun cookies, each includes four individually decorated cookies, plus a numbers cookie set that adds on to previously released alphabet set. Cookie set 1 includes a cupcake, party hat, animal balloon and birthday candle. Cookie set 2 has a balloon, party bunting, a tall gift and excited boy. And Cookie set 3 includes a square gift, bunch of balloons, slice of cake and excited girl.

For my first card I've arranged two birthday candle cookies with the slice of cake cookie on the baking sheet. A mix of letters and the number 2 create a shorthand birthday message that I then built upon with the rest of the greeting once the scene was all colored up. I used a mix of a die cut word along with the new Birthday's are the Best clear set that was recently added to the store. If you would like to watch the coloring of this card there is a short Reel on Instagram and a longer speed coloring will be added to the Sweet November Stamps YouTube channel.

Next, I placed the party hat cookie, cupcake cookie, balloon animal cookie and bunch of balloons cookie all together on the cooling rack and colored them in bright girly colors that would be perfect for a sweet sixteen party. I used a pretty script font birthday die and colored it with my Copic markers to match the bright pink frosting on the cookies, then added another sentiment from the Birthday's are the Best set to complete the card.

For my third and final card I piled the tall gift cookie with the square gift cookies into the bottom of the baking sheet, while the single balloon cookie balances them up at the top. This time I went with a sweet pastel color palette that would get any little girl excited for a special birthday treat. Another die cut combo along with the Birthday's are the Best set completes this festive scene.

Spring Birthday...

Hello there! 

It's a review day at Sweet November Stamps and the team and I are happily playing with more of the new Fab Favorites clear release. I've been anxiously awaiting the completion of the Flower Fairies of the Month collection so that I can start having fun mixing and matching them on various cards. This is my first go and I've stamped February Iris Fairy, April Daisy Fairy, October Marigold Fairy and September Morning Glory Fairy onto a larger A6 sized postage collage die from Waffle Flower crafts. For the smallest panel I also borrowed a ladybug from Fairwee Readers set. The large panel at the bottom of the card was the perfect home for a sentiment that I put together using the new Birthdays are the Best set. The coloring and stamping of the Year Round Post Marks can be scene on the quick Instagram reel and Tee will be getting a longer speed coloring version up on the Sweet November Stamps YouTube channel shortly. And don't forget that I will be coloring  Live this morning at 11am PST over on the Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page.  :)

Celebrating with you on your birthday...

Good morning!

This happy birthday card was colored Live over on my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page this past weekend as we kicked off the Fae-bruary celebration at Sweet November Stamps. These two cute fairwees are from the Fairwee Happy Birthday set and boy, are they ready to party! The confetti filled balloons are flying high and the three tiered cake is just waiting to be cut into. The sentiment is a sneak peek of a new set that will be released on the 15th and I think we did a pretty good job matching the pink in the dress to the pink ink used in the sentiment. 

I am actually going Live again this morning as part of the Fae-bruary fun to introduce a new fairy digi that was just added to the store.

Spring Birthday...

It's a review weekend at Sweet November Stamps and we are officially kicking off our Fae-bruary celebration. We've got some extra fairy themed challenges running on both Instagram and in the Friends of Sweet November Stamps Facebook group this month that you will definitely want to check out. And to add to the enchantment there will be a new fairy digi added to the store each Monday this month, accompanied by a special Live coloring session over on my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page.  

My card today is a postage collage using the Enchanted Spring Flowers clear set and the sentiment is a sneak peek of a new set that will be released in a couple of weeks.
