Hey, hey!
The holidays have arrived at Purple Onion Designs with two new collections that are sure to delight! There is the Tofu and Friends Holiday Happiness collection from Chilliezgraphy by Pei that includes five new Christmas themed stamps, and the Frostypine Elementary Holiday Revue collection from Holly Mabutas that has a whole host of cute critters that work perfectly with the new stage background stamp.
For my first card I stamped up a scene centered around the adorable Reindeer Tryouts stamp. These little cuties are trying out for the annual Christmas pageant, showing off their best reindeer skills, just hoping to get the part. But even though the story centers around them, they weren't the first to be stamped in this one layer scene. To get the layers right, I first stamped the audience then masked them before stamping the cuties and the marquee sign. I then masked them all off before finally stamping the large stage background. Once all of the masked were peeled away, everyone was right where they belong and I could start coloring. The sentiment is part of the set and is designed to fit perfectly in the marquee.
