May good luck follow you...

Hello, hello!

The February Sweet November Stamps newsletter was emailed out last night and it included this cute little fella as this month's free digi. If you joined me during my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook Live yesterday, you saw the sneak peek of Lucky Cloverfield. He coordinates perfectly with the Spring Fairies digi release and just like the girls, Lucky comes in two versions, one with wings and one without. I printed out the wingless version so that he would look like a little leprechaun, perfect for a fun St. Patrick's Day card. It was requested that I create a background scene similar to one I had done on yesterday's cards and I was happy to oblige. We went through the process of working from back to front fleshing out a more detailed scene like this and I think that Lucky looks right at home in his sunny glade. So if you are excited for some more magical fairy card making don't miss grabbing this guy and adding him to your digi collection. :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Spring Fairies digi release...

Hello friends!

As Fae-bruary comes to an end we just had to have an official fairy themed digi release to compliment the weekly fairies that we've been adding to the Sweet November Stamps store. So today we are introducing the Spring Fairies collection, which includes three precious fairies to choose from. As an added bonus each digi file comes with two options, one with wings and one without, so they can be elves or leprechauns as well. We have Gracie Greenglade, Whimsy Heathersong and Magpie Cloverwood fluttering their way right onto your next cards.

My first card finds Gracie Greenglade looking all cute in her flower blossom cap. With the bright spring sun shining down on her, Gracie is busy picking flowers to decorate her fairy home with.

Next, Whimsy Heathersong is taking a stroll though a sunlit meadow as the birds serenade her with their happy tunes. Her carefree nature will find Whimsy singing right along with her feathered friends, adding to the sweet sounds of spring.

Finally, Magpie Cloverwood is a curly haired leprechaun cutie who is on a mission. It is her job to find the perfect hiding spot to plant a lucky four leaf clover for some lucky passerby to find on St. Patrick's Day.

Now be sure to check out the Friends of Sweet November Stamps group on Facebook for even more Spring Fairy enchantment from the rest of our talented design team. Also, don't forget, I will be coloring Live today at 11am PST over on my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page and I hope to see ya there!

P.S. I love you...

TGIF!

The adorable skunks in the Scent-imental Love set at Hello Bluebird were begging to be inked up next and I couldn't wait to pair them with the retired Mushroom House Background. I stamped the girl skunk with the bouquet first and then I stamped the skunk holding a balloon, minus the balloon, so that instead he looks to be going in for a kiss. I then masked them both off before stamping the background behind them. From there the scene was pretty straight forward to color. I used the Gallery Frame #2 die for a pretty, ruffled edge that adds to the sweetness of the overall design. I paired the Valentine's Words Strips with the Word Strip die for the sentiment, stamping on black card stock to tie in with the black and white of the cute skunks. I like that even though this card has a very definite love theme it doesn't read as only a Valentine, perfect for when you want to send some love any time of the year.  :)

Have a great weekend!

Be mine, all mine...

Hello again!

Now that my February Pen Pal has received her card I can go ahead and share it here. Every month Allison runs a Pen Pal swap in the Sweet November Stamps Facebook group and the theme for this month was red and pink or love. With that in mind, the cute Cupid and love bugs from the Postage Pals: My Valentine set were the perfect choice. I stamped a few of them onto an A2 postage collage die and then colored them with plenty of red and pink. The sentiment is from the SN Guy and Gal Eric and Nadine set and the Year Round Post Marks once again complete the postage theme. I know that the March Pen Pal sign ups have just gone up in the group so go check that out if you would like to join the fun!

Later gators!
