Victorian Steampunk blog hop!

Hello, hello!

Today is the big day... yep, it's release day for the "Lil Victorian Steampunks" from Tickled Pink Stamps and as always we are celebrating with a blog hop! :)

Everything kicks off right here at my blog and you will have two days to play along in the hop for a chance at winning one of two awesome prizes that are up for grabs! One lucky hopper will win the full set of six Victorian Steampunks in rubber as well as the coordinating sentiment set and the other winner will get the full set of six Victorian Steampunk digi stamps! I'd say that is pretty great incentive to join the fun, what'cha think?

I used the ever enigmatic Lilith on my card today and I think that she personifies the Steampunk ideal perfectly. Whose got time to be slowed down by long skirts and cumbersome bustles when there is so much inventing and adventuring to be done? This independent lady looked to me like she stepped right out of the Wild Wild West movie and once I decided to pair her up with this particular sentiment her story totally came to me. I see her as a secret agent working alongside Captain James West and U.S. Marshal Artemus Gordon, chasing down villains far and wide... hence all of the travel inspired stickers that I added to the design. And I bet that Lilith is pretty darn good at her job, LOL! ;)

Alrighty, I won't keep you any longer... your next stop on the hop is to Angela's fabulous blog and if you ever get lost along the way just check back at the Tickled Pink blog for a complete list of participants. Oh and don't forget that the big sale in the TP store starts today as well... just in case you can't wait to get your hands on some fantastic new rubber! Buy 3 rubber stamps and get a 4th FREE... pretty awesome!

Victorian Steampunk Evie

Good morning friends!

I'm back with another "Lil Victorian Steampunk" from Tickled Pink Stamps. :)
These cool characters are illustrated by the talented Christina and we also have a great coordinating sentiment set, designed by Ann, to go along with them. All of the new stamps are being released on Saturday, May 7th (Aussie time)... Friday the 6th for those of us in the States, in the Tickled Pink store.

Today we have even more girlie loveliness to share because Evie is here in all of her fabulous vintage glory! Isn't she gorgeous? As I was putting this card together I pulled a lot of inspiration from the die cuts and stickers that I chose to go with Evie. I imagine her as a very prim and proper young lady but in her secret dreams she longs to run away to Paris and live the life of a bohemian artist! That is why I paired her with the cool painter's palette (that I stamped the sentiment onto) and the rest of the doodads as well. :)

As always it wouldn't be a Tickled Pink Stamps preview without a prize, so head on over to the Tickled Pink blog and leave a comment on today's post for a chance at winning your very own Victorian Steampunk Evie rubber stamp! While you are there be sure to check out all of the lovely Evie cards that my fellow Pink Ladies have created! And be sure to mark your calendars for the sale that Kellie is having in the TP store starting on May 7th, which is release day! Buy 3 rubber stamps and get a 4th FREE.... how amazing is that?!

And if that wasn't enough excitement for one day, there is also a brand new sketch challenge now up over on the Tickled Pink challenge blog! I followed it pretty closely with my card today... the only thing I changed was the positioning of the sentiment circle from the left side of the card to the right. So if you would like a chance at winning TWO Tickled Pink rubber stamps of your choice then why not play along? Don't forget that your card must feature a Tickled Pink stamp in order to qualify for the prize... these include: Lil Lolitas and Lads, Pinkettes, Pink Pets and Cherries. All of which can be found in the Tickled Pink store.

Have fun and good luck! :)

Fluttering Flitter Friends

Hola!

So what did my fellow Gleeks think of last nights episode? I didn't realize that it was going to be a Fleetwood Mac night until the show started and then I was giddy with excitement! I ♥ the Rumours album so it was a good night for me. :)
Not only was the music awesome but the story lines were great once again. I loved the return of Kurt last week and it just feels like the momentum keeps building and building from there so next week should be really interesting!
Ok, gleek out moment over, LOL!

So today I've got a card that is pulling double duty. Not only does it work for the ATS Wednesday challenge, which is anything goes. But I was also asked by Danni, of Flutter By challenge fame, to be a guest for her this week too. And wouldn't ya know that the challenge there is open as well... sweet! :)

It was a no-brainer that I'd be pulling out some Flitter Friends for this card because even though you can use a butterfly, angel or fairy to qualify at Flutter By I'm a fairy nut and any excuse to get one on a card is good enough for me. I ended up using both Raspberry and Blueberry together because the scene they create just cracks me up. Doesn't it look like Raspberry is about to give Blueberry a big squeeze and Blueberry isn't quite sure whether she should fly away or give in to Raspberry's affection? I think she'll stick around for the hug though. ;)

So if you would like to play along with the Flutter By challenge this week, just make sure that you use a butterfly, fairy or angel and once you've created your NEW creation leave a direct link in the InLinkz before midnight (PST) next Tuesday.

And as always the ATS challenge has a new and exciting prize up for grabs and in order to be eligible to win, your project must include a stamp that is sold in the All That Scraps store. Whether it is any of our wonderful in house designs or from the various other stamp companies that ATS carries, the choice is yours. Then be sure to link up your creation with Mr Linky by next Tuesday at 10pm est and only one entry per person please.

Alrighty, thanks so much for fluttering by... I'm off to do a bit of spring cleaning and then have some fun on my day off! :)

Victorian Steampunk Lylah

Good morning friends!

Once again we are stepping into that time machine and traveling into the past with the "Lil Victorian Steampunks" from Tickled Pink Stamps.

Today we are going super girlie with lots of ruffles and bows, corsets and bustles... that's right, the lovely Lylah is here and ready to stroll across a card or two. Isn't she a beauty? I colored Lylah up in fresh, spring colors so that she could oh-so demurely catch the eye of a special suitor or two. ;)
And yes, the ephemera stickers and embellishments are still playing a big role in setting the scene for these steampunk cards but when they work as well as they do I'm not going to fight it, LOL!

As always it wouldn't be a Tickled Pink Stamps preview without a prize, so head on over to the Tickled Pink blog and leave a comment on today's post for a chance at winning your very own Victorian Steampunk Lylah rubber stamp! While you are there be sure to check out all of the lovely Lylah cards that my fellow Pink Ladies have created!
And be sure to mark your calendars for the sale that Kellie is having in the TP store starting on May 7th, which is release day! Buy 3 rubber stamps and get a 4th FREE.... how amazing is that?!

Victorian Steampunk Lestat

Hello, hello!

Are you ready to travel back in time once again with the "Lil Victorian Steampunks" from Tickled Pink Stamps? These cool characters are illustrated by the talented Christina and we also have a great coordinating sentiment set, designed by Ann, to go along with them. All of the new stamps are being released on Saturday, May 7th (Aussie time)... Friday the 6th for those of us in the States, in the Tickled Pink store. :)

Today Steampunk Lestat is taking a bow in the spotlight we are shining on him. He kinda reminds me of a turn of the century magician and from the looks of him I'd say he definitely has a trick or two hidden up his sleeve. ;)
Once again I have relied on my 'old as the hills' ephemera embellishments to help set the scene for Lestat on this card. They sure aren't my usual look or go-to embellies but I've been really enjoying finally using some of them up!

As always it wouldn't be a Tickled Pink Stamps preview without a prize, so head on over to the Tickled Pink blog and leave a comment on today's post for a chance at winning your very own Victorian Steampunk Lestat rubber stamp! My fellow Pink Ladies also have plenty of Lestat eye candy to check out while you are there that I know will inspire!

Oh! I also want to let you all know that Kellie is having a sale in the TP store starting on May 7th, which is release day! Buy 3 rubber stamps and get a 4th FREE.... how amazing is that?! :)

Victorian Steampunk Luca

Good morning fellow stampers!

I'm jumping in on the second day of previews for the new Tickled Pink collection called "Lil Victorian Steampunks" illustrated by the talented Christina. There are also some amazing coordinating sentiments designed by Ann, and the entire new release will be released next Saturday, May 7th (Aussie time)... Friday the 6th for those of us here in the States, in the Tickled Pink store. :)

Today we are featuring Victorian Steampunk Luca... something about his dapper attire mixed with the belts and pouches brought to mind the Phineas Fogg character from "Around the World in 80 Days". He was a ton of fun to color up and this was also a great excuse to dig out all of the 'vintage' ephemera embellishments that I just had to have when they were all the rage in scrapping oh, probably nine years ago now! Sure I haven't touched any of these stickers or die cuts in years but considering how quickly they have made putting my Steampunk cards together, I chalk it up to totally justifying my 'hoarding' of paper crafting goodies. LOL! ;)

Now it wouldn't be a Tickled Pink Stamps preview without a prize would it? As always if you would like a chance to win this new Victorian Steampunk Luca stamp, all you have to do is leave a comment over on the Tickled Pink blog... it's as easy as that! And while you are there you will be able to enjoy even more Luca coolness on my fellow Pink Ladies' fabulous cards. :)

Come back tomorrow when I will be traveling back in time with yet another TP cutie!
Smooches!
