Hi guys!
So did my fellow Gleeks get into the Christmas spirit last night? That throw back b&w Christmas special that they did made me giggle. It was everything I love about this show... sweet and quirky, clever and caring. And of course I was positively groovin' to the holiday tunes. ;)
It's day three of the Some Odd Girl Valentine release previews and today we are featuring two new Gwen sets... Crushin' Gwen and Romantic Gwen. These are each part of their own 4"x3" clear sets that also include sentiments and other small images. And the best part is that they are available to order today! :)
I chose Crushin' Gwen to share here on my own blog today because she is such a little character. I just adore that look on her face... you can tell this girl is head over heels for the beau of her dreams. And she may be acting kinda coy and all shy like but her slightly obsessive crush can lead her into doing some crazy things... all in the name of love of course, LOL! ;)
Now don't forget to check out the rest of the Oddie's cards over on the SOG blog today and if you hopped along with us over the weekend you'll want to see if you're one of the lucky Gwen winners!

Hello, hello!
Welcome back to day two of the Some Odd Girl Valentine release previews! Today it is all about Lovey Tobie, awwww... what a sweetheart he is! Tobie is part of a 4"x3" clear set that also includes three sentiments and two heart icons. And the best part is that he is available to order today! :)
Something about Tobie had me thinkin' smartie whiz kid in love... kind of like the guys from Big Bang Theory. That's why I thought the neutral graph papers would be a cool touch, and with just a few touches of red thrown in I think it still reads as a Valentine. As you can see, Tobie has made all the right measurements to create the perfect heart garland for his secret crush, LOL! ;)
Ok, so don't forget to check out the rest of the Oddie's cards over on the SOG blog today and if you hopped along with us over the weekend you'll want to see if you've won your very own Lovey Tobie!

Good morning!
As promised, we are starting preview week for the Valentine release at Some Odd Girl today. First up we are featuring the two, new sized mini sets, Foxy and Electric Love. These small two stamp sets (image plus one sentiment) are a fun alternative for getting your SOGgy fix. They make for such sweet and simple Valentine's cards and the best part is that they are available to order today! :)
I kept with a very CAS look on both of my cards because I didn't want to take the focus away from these cute stamps. All I had to do was grab some small paper scraps and call it good. Restraint was the name of the game, LOL! Though I did end up drawing a heart shaped pillow for Foxy to lounge on... give her a Bonbon or two and she's sure to have a perfect Valentine's day. ;)
Be sure to check out the rest of the Oddie's cards over on the SOG blog today and if you hopped along with us over the weekend you'll want to see if you're a winner of one of these new mini sets too!
TTFN!

Hidee ho!
I hope all is well this morning. I'm having a wonderful weekend so far with a whole lot of nothin' scheduled for the rest of the day, LOL!
So there was a vendor challenge sponsored by Copic over at Two Peas In a Bucket during the month of November which I played along in. And on December 1st I found out that I was one of the lucky winners selected to receive a prize pack from them. Too fun! Well, it came yesterday and there was a set of six Sketch markers included that I already had soooo... I'm paying it forward over on my YouTube channel. That's right, if you would like a chance at winning this set of secondary colors then just head on over, become a subscriber, and leave a comment on this post... easy peasy! I'm leaving it open through the 20th and I'll have a video drawing the winner on December 21st. :)
Speaking of YouTube, last week I did a video coloring dark red hair on this Kraftin Kimmie Eva stamp and got a request to show how I colored the rest of her. Yesterday turned out to be the perfect day to finish her up so that I could get Eva onto a card for today's post. I paired her up with the new Winter Park papers from Echo Park and pulled all of my Copic colors from it, which you can see here. I had originally planned to see a lot more of that cute house paper in the design but when I came across that large "what I ♥ about winter" cut out I just couldn't resist building the card around it. I seriously love it with Eva because I can totally see her ditching that shovel and going back inside to a warm fire, hot cocoa and maybe even a winter hottie. ;)
I don't know if you can see it very well but I used a 'new to me' product on this card... those flecks of white in the background (I was going for the look of falling snow) where spritzed on using an October Afternoon Paper Doily Sprinkler. I have Erin (scrappyhour09 on YouTube) to thank for enabling me to give these a try. She has been using the Studio Calico version of these spritzers and I've really loved the look so when I had the opportunity to grab some OA ones during a Black Friday sale I couldn't pass it up. If I'm not careful I can see a new obsession forming... LOL! Thanks Erin!
Okey dokey, well thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you come back tomorrow when I'll start sharing previews of the new SOG Valentine release! :)

Happy Saturday everybody!
I'm currently enjoying a weekend off. The decorating is done, shopping is done and while the weather outside may be frightful (only frightfully cold... at least the snow is holding off), inside it is so delightful. Since I've no place to go it looks like it is time to cuddle up and get crafty. ;)
I have a just for fun card today. Months back I got some of the new Gorjuss Girls from Santoro and besides the one that I inked up for Halloween, they have been feeling pretty neglected. I decided to change all that yesterday by grabbing this adorable Winter Friend Gorjuss Girl and having a play. Technically she's a bit altered because originally she is sitting on a polar bear but I wanted her to be seated on that paper panel instead so I just fussy cut her off the bear. I also hadn't used this fab Teresa Collins paper yet either and I love how it looks like Christmas themed newspaper ads. Of course I pulled all of my Copic colors from the paper and it's hard to tell in the pic but I used the gold Spica pen on the stars of her dress and the stripes on her stockings so she sparkles a bit. :)
Oh! And that circle with the sentiment... it's actually a window that shows through to the inside of the card. I used vellum and stamped the sentiment on it then heat set some white embossing powder for something fun and different than my norm. You know... just trying to shake things up a bit! LOL
Anywho, I think I'm going to go sit with a cup of cocoa for a spell, so I'll see ya later. Have a wonderful weekend my friends!

Hello my fellow stampers!
Welcome to the Some Odd Girl Valentine's Release Hop!
I know it's cold outside and you may even have ground covered in snow but today we're out to warm your heart with a release that will make you want to pinch cheeks and give free hugs to strangers and family alike! Want a little sneak at the release that you can start ordering on Monday? Then hop to all of the Odd Girls' blogs and get a virtual crafty hug at every stop! If you've come here from Leah's blog then you are right on track... if not then head over to the SOG blog for a complete list of the stops. :)Wait a sec?! I bet you're thinking that I've gone and used the wrong stamps for this hop, LOL! Actually this adorable little squirrel and the acorns are all part of the new Nutsy Kaylee 4x6 set and considering my current Christmas groove I saw the potential for a Christmas card as soon as I laid eyes on him. I just couldn't resist the idea that he has woken up on Christmas morning to find the best gift a squirrel could ever ask for underneath his tree. I promise to have some Valentine's cards to share with y'all next week though. ;) Ok, you can hop now through Sunday, December 11th (midnight EST). Make sure to comment at every stop along the way because then you'll be entered to win a stamp set from the new release! We'll be giving away one of every set and announcing the winners all next week when the stamp sets are revealed. How cool is that?! So are you ready to feel the love? Then it's time to hop on over to Vera's blog!Have fun!

Olo!
We've got a new challenge over on the Tickled Pink challenge blog today and we want to see you create a shabby chic style card.
So shabby chic isn't really a go-to style for me and I may not have hit it 100% on the head. When I think of shabby chic on cards I picture layers of papers, lace, ribbon and textural embellishments. So I did my best within those parameters on another Christmas card. For my main image I chose to "big head" Winter Shopping Ivy, from the latest digi release. She is so cute and expressive and totally fun to color! :)
Now it is time for you to get your shabby chic on, check out the amazing inspiration from the rest of the design team girls and play along with us this week. There is a free digi of your choice up for grabs and the winner is now selected by random generator!
Don't forget that your card must feature a Tickled Pink stamp in order to qualify for the prize... these include: Lil Lolitas and Lads, Pinkettes, Pink Pets and Cherries. All of which can be found in the Tickled Pink store.Good luck everybody!
