Traveling to Mount Olympus with TP...

Hello, friendly neighborhood stampers!

I know that it's been awhile but are you ready for a brand new rubber stamp release from Tickled Pink?! We are super excited to be kicking off the year with some fresh, new images that are different and fun! This time the Lolitas and Lads have traveled back in time to the era of the Greek Gods and Goddesses.

In the past I have admitted that I'm quite a nerd about certain things and the mythology of the Greek Gods is definitely one of those 'nerd areas' for me, LOL! I think I read my first stories of them back in elementary school and I have been hooked ever since. There has been so much great art created throughout history based off of the characters and stories from Mount Olympus. As well as a lot of fun pop culture takes on them as well. In fact, some of my most fave 'guilty pleasure' historical romance novels are re-imaginings of some of the Greek God tales... just check out Dazzling Brightness (Hades & Persephone), Shimmering Splendor (Eros & Psyche), Enchanted Fire (Orpheus & Eurydice), Thrice Bound (Hekate & Kabeiros) and Bull God (Dionysus & Ariadne) all by Roberta Gellis. I highly recommend them all! ;)

So anyway, you can imagine how excited I have been for this stamp release. And we are starting the whole thing off with Lilith's powerful take on the Goddess Athena. She is the goddess of wisdom and crafts, war and strategy, inventions in science, industry, art, and agriculture. She is best known as the olive-giving patron of her namesake, Athens. Not to mention that she looks just plain cool in her robes and armor, LOL! As far as cards go, I think she makes a great alternative for the traditional cap and gown type graduation cards and is fantastic for general achievement cards like this one too.

Now, as always it wouldn't be a Tickled Pink Stamps preview without a prize, so head on over to the Tickled Pink blog and leave a comment on today's post for a chance at winning your very own Lilith Athena stamp! And while you are there be sure to check out the gorgeous cards that my fellow Pink Ladies have created too! :)

Hey there!

So did you know that Some Odd Girl is getting ready to celebrate it's second birthday this month? Yep, two whole years of gettin' Odd and having a blast along the way! And you just know that there is going to be plenty of fun and brand new stamps to celebrate. So we're starting it all off with a cool "Name that Digi" contest today!
See the trio of party girls on my card below? Mae, Tia and Kaylee have all gotten together on this digital stamp but it needs a name!
So think up something clever then head on over to the SOG blog and leave a comment there with your idea for a name. Kristy will choose the winner on January 21st and that lucky person gets the digi and maybe another goodie! January 21st is also when this digi stamp will be available for purchase in the SOG store.

Now put on those thinking caps and good luck! :)

A perfect fit

Hiya sweeties!

I know that it has been awhile, what with the holiday break that we took, but we've finally got a brand new challenge
over on the Tickled Pink challenge blog today! And we are easing back into the swing of things with a super easy and constant favorite... anything goes theme. Yep, create and play in any way that your heart desires just so long as you use a Tickled Pink cutie somewhere on your card or creation. :)

Considering that I'm still on a Valentine's Day kick, my anything goes card went in that direction. Though I did veer away from the traditional heart day colors and motifs to try for something a bit different looking. To be honest, ever since my In Stitches Tia card, I haven't been able to get away from the idea of my stamped characters acting like "The Littles" or "The Borrowers". So when I spotted these Button Boutique stamps in my stash I thought it would be cute to have a Tickled Pink couple interacting with it. I had to use Eric 'cause he is just my most fave of the Lads and Kellita was almost perfect for slipping behind the button card. Only one problem, her eyes weren't looking towards her 'perfect fit'. So I wiped away the insides of her eyes before stamping then redrew in some new irises. And I really like how by trimming out her arm, it looks like Kellita is trying to carry those buttons off. :)

Ok, now it's time for you to get creative, check out the amazing inspiration from the rest of the design team girls and play along with us this week. There is a free digi of your choice up for grabs and the winner is now selected by random generator!
Don't forget that your card must feature a Tickled Pink stamp in order to qualify for the prize... these include: Lil Lolitas and Lads, Pinkettes, Pink Pets and Cherries. All of which can be found in the Tickled Pink store.

Good luck everybody!

Love is in the air

Mornin' friends!

So are you enjoying all of the new Valentine digi previews over at Some Odd Girl so far? Things are rolling right along as we come to the lovely Cupid Mae today. What a beauty she is, spreading the love like that... very ethereal wouldn't you say?
Mae seemed so quintessentially Valentine-like to me that I couldn't resist going all out with the pinks, reds and pretty frou frou goodies for this card. I'm also proud to say that all the papers came from my scrap bags, which is great and I also made that crinkled ribbon all by myself. That kind of stuff always makes me feel so crafty, LOL!

Today I'm enjoying a day off and since I still need to tackle the mess in my crafty room... I know, I know, bad me... it looks like I will be taking care of that before I do much else. But hopefully once I get that done I'll once again be getting crafty. :)

Now don't forget to check out the SOG blog to see all the gorgeous Cupid Mae cards that my fellow Oddies have created!

TTFN!

Playing coy...

Olo!

Welcome back my Odd friends! The SOG Valentine digi release previews are rolling right along and today we are featuring Coy Kaylee. If this stylish chica doesn't help you celebrate the season of love in a super fun way, I don't know what will! And is it terrible that I'm lovin' her hair so much that I'm seriously considering getting mine chopped just like Kaylee's here? I wonder what the gal who cuts my hair would think if I brought in a stamp as reference? I'll let ya know how that goes... LOL!

Ok, so altogether there are 5 digis in the shop available now and the Oddies will continue showcasing a different digi each day this week! But the fun doesn't end there... all of this is leading up to SOG's 2nd Birthday celebration. So there is loads to look forward to this month! :)

Later gators!

When two hearts beat as one...

Hiya folks!

Here we are at the start of a brand new week. Sure Mondays aren't terribly exciting most of the time but today we are kicking off the new Valentine digi previews over at Some Odd Girl! Yep, we've shown you the Valentine clear stamps and now there are some new digital Valentine images for all those who love to get their digi stampin' on. :)

First up is the adorable couple, 2 Hearts Kody and Mae. Looks like Mae is making her sweetie pie blush... you go girl! LOL As soon as I saw these two, the phrase "love birds" came to mind. So I flipped through my sentiments until I found just the right stamp, then added it on to the big blank heart that they are holding. And I couldn't stop there... yep the Bitty Birds die is making an appearance, yet again. What can I say... I'm quite addicted to adding cute little birdies to my cards these days!

Don't forget to check out the SOG blog to see all the fab Kody and Mae cards that my fellow Oddies have created! Then come back tomorrow for peeks of another Valentine lovely. :)

XOXO

Bluebird, bluebird at my window...

Good morning!

Are you enjoying a nice and relaxing weekend? I get to chill and relax today... maybe even get my craftin' on. Though after that last rush of creating for the previews my crafty room is once again a bit of a disaster. You see... as I'm working on projects I have a tendency to pull stamps and papers and not put them back immediately after. Things tend to pile until a crafty avalanche threatens to tear through my space. Soooo... most likely I'll be cleaning a bit first to make the space workable again. ;)

Anywho... have you seen the new Wryn digi stamps that Christy just released over at Tiddly Inks? OMWord are they adorable! I will admit that it was love at first sight and a couple of them quickly found a home on my hard drive. :)
Wryn New Nest ended up being the first of the bunch that I colored for a card and she was so much fun to watch come to life! Plus I finally had the perfect image to pair up with these quirky Picadilly papers that I've had for a few months now. Oooh and I went a bit crazy with the dies on this one too, but don't the CC Designs Leafy Branch cut-outs kinda look like they finish off the top of the tree in the stamp? Then I couldn't resist cutting out a Mama and Papa bluebird to go with the chickie in the nest... awwww, how tweet! LOL
Can you tell that I enjoyed putting this together?

Okey dokey, time for me to make like a banana and split. Have a good one!
