Bluebird, bluebird at my window...

Good morning!

Are you enjoying a nice and relaxing weekend? I get to chill and relax today... maybe even get my craftin' on. Though after that last rush of creating for the previews my crafty room is once again a bit of a disaster. You see... as I'm working on projects I have a tendency to pull stamps and papers and not put them back immediately after. Things tend to pile until a crafty avalanche threatens to tear through my space. Soooo... most likely I'll be cleaning a bit first to make the space workable again. ;)

Anywho... have you seen the new Wryn digi stamps that Christy just released over at Tiddly Inks? OMWord are they adorable! I will admit that it was love at first sight and a couple of them quickly found a home on my hard drive. :)
Wryn New Nest ended up being the first of the bunch that I colored for a card and she was so much fun to watch come to life! Plus I finally had the perfect image to pair up with these quirky Picadilly papers that I've had for a few months now. Oooh and I went a bit crazy with the dies on this one too, but don't the CC Designs Leafy Branch cut-outs kinda look like they finish off the top of the tree in the stamp? Then I couldn't resist cutting out a Mama and Papa bluebird to go with the chickie in the nest... awwww, how tweet! LOL
Can you tell that I enjoyed putting this together?

Okey dokey, time for me to make like a banana and split. Have a good one!

Fluttering and floating along

Olo!

Have you been over to the Flutter By challenge blog this month? September is a whole month of fluttering fun in honor of Danni's birthday celebration! Each week there will be give-aways from some of Danni's most favorite companies and the challenges are all OPEN... making it super easy to play along. :)

I was honored when Danni asked if I would be a guest during this special month and I couldn't wait to play. As you know, the Flutter By challenge is all about using butterflies, fairies or angels on your cards and if you hadn't guessed yet, I'm kind of a fan of magical little winged friends. ;)
My way of thinking is that if a butterfly is good, a fairy is always better. LOL! So of course when it came time to create I wanted to find a new little fairy friend that hadn't seen ink yet. In the end though it was printer ink that I used because this adorable new Dandylion Pixie digi from Tiddly Inks was sweetly whispering from my computer files that it was her time to flutter. I agreed so much that I actually printed her off three times in three different sizes so that my card would look like it had a whole whirlwind full of pixies floating around on those dandelion puffs. What a nice farewell to summer that would be. :)

So now it's your turn to join the party! Just remember to have a butterfly, fairy or angel on your creations and even though it's not a requirement, Danni would LOVE to see some of her favorite things on your cards too... the color pink, lots of sparkle and lots of butterflies or fairies and bright, happy colors!I

I sure hope you'll join us and play along as we'd love to see your creations!Supply list:

Wee friends

Hey there!

Just a quick pop in to let y'all know that the Fairwee candies are still open through tonight for a chance at winning. And today is also the official Fairwee preview on the ATS blog so you'll want to be sure and get in the drawing over there to win the entire release!
Then tonight is the big night that they will all become available in the ATS store, woot, woot!

My card today is an A2 size (41/4"x51/2") and hopefully you can get an idea of the smaller size of these new stamps. I have wanted some quick and easy to color images for the Sweet November line for quite awhile and the Fairwees are what I came up with for that. Because sometimes I find myself short on crafting time but still want to get in and play so I like having some smaller, less time intensive stamps to choose from. :)

Alrighty then, time for me to scoot... hope you are wrapping up a wonderful weekend!

Cute as a button

Happy Glee Day my friends!

I've got to get to work early again today so I'm just going to dive right into my card... Tiddly Inks is celebrating it's birthday and today is the start of a customer Party Puzzler blog hop that I am playing along in to help celebrate the big occasion. It's a whole big to-do so be sure to read up on the different ways that you can win by reading all of the info here.
Christy has so many cutie digi stamps in her store but I am partial to her adorable little pixies. :)
I actually used her new Rainbow Dreams pixie for this card... minus the rainbow... LOL! Instead I thought it would be fun to have her peeking out from behind the buttons on that cool, vintage looking button card stamp. I then kept the sewing theme going with the rest of the embellishments on my card as well, with stick pins, faux stitching, twine and I even made my own fake spool of thread.

So happy birthday Tiddly Inks! Here's to many more cuties joining the fun in the year to come. :)

Hey, hey Donna...

Mornin' folks!

Have you been able to get lots of crafty time in this weekend? I've still been busy with work so not as much play time as I would like. Though I did find time to print out this new digi from Tiddlyinks and color her right up! :)
I have to say that I LOVE the original Donna image that Christy did (inspired by my fab bloggin' buddy, Donna) but I think I'm loving this new Donna's Adventure even more if it is possible! Isn't she just the sweetest? This image actually reminds me of when I was little and would pack up my favorite toys and trek off through the apple orchard on my own adventures and Mom would always give me little sandwich baggies full of miniature marshmallows and chocolate chips to sustain me during my journeys, LOL! Ahhhh... good times, good times... :)

Needless to say, I'm pretty fond of this little card...anywho, I should go get ready for the day.
Later gators!

All about the treat

Good morning!

I'd say TGIF but considering that I'm working both today and tomorrow it doesn't really feel like a true TGIF vibe in my little world. LOL! ;)

I've got another Halloween card to share today but it is definitely on the more cute side of the holiday than some of my other cards have been. I used the adorable Higgelty Witch from Tiddly Inks because she just makes me smile. Probably because I can remember so many different years of dressing up as a witch throughout my childhood... from sweet and cute when I was little to scary and menacing when I was a teen. Heck, I still have a pretty rockin' witches hat, complete with dangling spiders, that I wear when I'm handing out candy on the big night! Good times... good times... :)

And because this week's Tiddly Inks challenge is "Anything Halloween" I'm going to be entering Higgelty into the fun! It's been awhile since I've had time to play along but I always enjoy it when I do.

Alrighty, time for me to go get ready for the day. Hope yours is a great one!

Sprinkles

Mornin' folks!

I've got a quick card using what I have to say is my new most favorite Tiddly Inks image evah! This little cutie is an homage to and namesake of the amazing Donna and how can you not love her just as much as Miss Three Umbrellas herself?! She has such charm and tells such a great story... what can I say, she melts my heart a bit. :)

I couldn't resist coloring her up as I imagine Donna may have looked in her childhood days and it was so much fun creating a whole little scene for her to live in. Then I just grabbed a mix of October Afternoon paper scraps within my color scheme and finished it all off with, what I hope, is a clever sentiment for the image. Oh, and the little dots on the umbrella and down by her feet are tiny little gems that look kinda like raindrops when the light hits them... not so much in the photo unfortunately. Oh well, I hope I did Donna proud with this one! :)

Ok, so be sure to check back tomorrow when I will have a new Sweet November spotlight to share that will kick of sneak peeks and candies starting on Tuesday! Woot woot!

Hey there cookie

Hey there... I'm on the run as I've got work, so this is going to be short and sweet. :)

My card today is for this week's Tiddly Inks 'no designer paper' challenge. Now you know me and how much I love my pretty papers so these kinds of challenges always make me scratch my head for a bit. Because I had gone the embossing route earlier in the week I decided to do a bit of stamping to create a background this time. So I mixed things up with some polka dots and extra cookie digi images (that were one of the Tiddly Inks freebies for PCP group members... SO cute) since I liked how they all worked together with the whole circle vibe. And isn't Cookie Bugg adorable? I think I must really have a soft spot for images with sweet treats, LOL! ;)

Well, that's all the time I have this morning... hope you all have a lovely stamp happy day today!

Another Burtonesque Sunday

Howdy friends!

Well I survived work yesterday and even got to enjoy some sunshine and lovely weather once I got home. :)
Considering all that sunny goodness it's kind of funny that I made such a dark, quick and easy card for Simple Sunday today. But I did want to take on the Burtonesque challenge again, especially since I had this cool Tiddly Inks digi that I wanted to color up and thought would be absolutely perfect for it! So I quickly colored miss Batty in a very monochromatic color scheme and gave her a little scene to inhabit as well. The rest of the card is super simple... just a couple squares of paper and a sheet of doodle looking rub-ons plus rub-on alphas for the sentiment and viola! Finished card... and I was back outside to enjoy the evening! :)

Now it's time to head off to work again... hope your weekend has been fantastic! Supply list:
cardstock- DCWV and PTI
paper- Basic Grey (basics)
digi stamp- Tiddly Inks (Batty)
