You're a Daisy if you do...

Anyone recognize which movie that line is from? Que Jeopardy music here... LOL It was Tombstone... I can remember that movie came out when I was a junior in high school and my friends and I went to see it a couple different times in the rinky dink little theater in town. I think I may have had a crush on Val Kilmer's Doc Holiday character, he just had the best lines! The other one that I really remember and quote quite often is, "I'll be your huckleberry." Heeheehee yes I think I've firmly established how much of a nerd I am by now. ;) Anway, this crazy cute little Daisy Sprout from TGF is what caused my little sidetrack moment down memory lane, isn't she a doll? As soon as I saw her with that wild, tweaked out hair she brought to mind Chef Anne Burrell from the Food Network channel so of course Daisy had to be a blond too, LOL! I did do just a smidge of altering by wiping away her large ruffled collar before stamping and drew in the rest of her sleeves to fill in the space. And I'm envious at how well she is pulling off that culottes look... I don't ever remember feeling that cute the few times my mom made me wear some back in the day. LOL So crazy Daisy is also entering a couple of challenges today... all of the colors in this card came from Lily Pad Cards' first ever Color Throwdown challenge. Anything with orange in it is a winner in my book and I had the perfect papers too! And as it was coming together I thought that the colors were very Spring looking all together so I'm also entering this card into the Farm Fresh W.O.W Swing into Spring challenge. Whew! A two-fer... that doesn't happen often around the ol' thousand sheets bloggity blog! ;) Ok, time for me to scoot my boot... TTYL!

Feeling a bit Odd...

Ah Monday, Monday... they've got to come around every week don't they? I don't know why, but I'm having a hard time getting going today. I feel like I could have easily slept in another hour or two... weird! I'm sure that once I get out and headed for work I'll shake these blah feelings, maybe I just need to get some fresh air or something. Anywho... my card today features a 'new to me' digi stamp that I think is absolutely adorable. I've been seeing the Some Odd Girl images popping up around blog land for awhile now but hadn't found the time to peruse the SOG shop until a few days ago... OMG can you say cuteness?! This little Flower Kaylee was batting those big, beautiful eyes at me from the store header and as soon as I found her in the new release section she just hopped right into my cart. Followed closely by a couple of her other friends too, LOL! Once I had given Kaylee a new home I knew that she was the first one I wanted to color up. So I checked out the Odd Girl blog and found a Clean & Simple challenge that was just the jump start I needed to get creating. I printed Kaylee out as a 'big head' to really focus on her fab hair and eyes, plus going that route I could just keep her on a single panel, add a sentiment and not have to worry about fussy cutting or anything... thus staying true to the C&S theme. Then it took just a bit of BG paper, a flower and butterflies to finish the whole thing off. Easy peasy and boy do I just want to give her a squeeze and pinch those cheeks! Hopefully whomever gets this card will feel the same way too. :) Alrighty, time for me to jet... catch ya on the flip side mi amigos! It's a Pinkette hop!

Good morning and welcome to the Tickled Pink Pinkette blog hop! Yep, we are celebrating this new release with a fun hop and of course a chance at winning the entire line of Pinkettes as well as the 'thank you' sentiment set! I'm the first stop in the hop so you are off to a great start... and there is plenty more Pinkette cuteness to follow. :) For my card I used August once again and this time I cropped her into a circle so that it looks like she's peeking through a window. I love how this quick and easy cropping can change the look of a stamp, opening up a whole slew of new design options for your card. I paired her with some funky Sassafras papers that I thought had a great teen vibe to them and finished the whole thing off with some matching flowers of course! Ok, there is a lot more to see so I'm gonna be sending you on your way to Angela's blog now. The hop will continue running for the next couple of days and the winner will be announced on April 14th (Aussie time)... April 13th for those of us in the States. Enjoy all of the fabulous Pinkette creations today! Later gators! :)

Pinkette Pippa...

Hey, hey... happy Saturday! The sun is shining and I'm looking forward to a nice day at home. There is a lot to do getting the outside all cleaned up, a couple of rose bushes didn't make it through the winter so they've got to be pulled up and the flower beds need to be raked. It will feel good to have that all done and taken care of and I may even go look for some flowers for the flower pots while I'm at it. :) Today is our final Pinkette preview from Tickled Pink stamps and sweet Pippa is here with a bouquet of flowers from her garden. I had a lot of fun coloring her up, especially the denim over-alls. I added a bit of texture to them by cutting off a scrap of material from some old jeans and soaking it with some colorless blender. Then I just patted that over the blue over-alls and it totally transferred that great denim texture to the image. Pippa will be available in the Tickled Pink store come Monday, as well as the new Thank You sentiment set, but until then you can stop by the Tickled Pink blog and leave a comment there for a chance at winning this little darling. My fellow Pink Ladies have made some gorgeous Pippa cards that you can see while you are there too. Tomorrow is TP blog hop time with a chance at winning stamps from this new release so I hope to see you back here then! :) TTFN!

Tickled Pink welcomes the Pinkettes!

Good morning! We are kicking off some very exciting previews of a brand new range of stamps from Tickled Pink today! These new gals are the Lil Pinkettes and we will be showcasing each one over the next four days... all leading up to the April release blog hop! Today Coraline is leading the way and she comes bearing sweets! How can you beat that?! This darling baker has whipped up a special treat for the occassion but she is quite the treat herself with all that sassy cuteness of hers. I paired Coraline up with some yumm-o Basic Grey paper and even fussy cut the cupcakes out because I just couldn't resist adding even more sugary goodness onto my card. I also used one of the new 'thank you' sentiments that are part of this April release as well. It is a really great set and you know how I like sentiments on my cards. ;) If you would like a chance at winning Coraline before she becomes available in the Tickled Pink store then just head on over to the Tickled Pink blog and leave a comment, simple as that! And while you are there you'll be treated to plenty more sweet Coraline deliciousness from the rest of the Pink Ladies too! There will be even more Pinkette fun tomorrow so I hope you come back then. :) Supply list: cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It paper- Basic Grey (Nook & Pantry) stamps- Tickled Pink (Pinkette Coraline and sentiment) ink- Memento tuxedo black and Colorbox creamy brown Little Yellow Bicycle doily K&Co rub on stitches Kaiser Craft pearls The Twinery twine Copic markers: skin- E000, E00, E11, R00, R20 hair- E50, E51, E53, 0 clothes- BG10, BG11, BG32, E44, E47, E49, E40, E41, 0, R11, R12, R20, YG01, YG03, YG25, YG17, Y02, Y04, Y08, E42, E43, R000, R00, R01, BG000
