To the new couple...

Olo!

My lovely cousin, Kaiti, is getting married this weekend and this is the card that I made for the happy couple. I stamped up another one of the sweet wedding images from Impronte d'Autore called Sposini because the enthusiasm of this little bride totally reminded me of Kaiti's happy energy. Now the original image has the bride and groom standing on the back of a train car but I just wiped away the train tracks and wheels and drew in the legs and turned it into a kind of wedding arch. Because lavender, the flowers not just the color, is a big part of her theme I used my Copics to turn the simple flowers into a row of decorative lavender across the rail. I can't wait to wish the happy couple all the best on Saturday.  :)

Toodles!

May the forest be with you...

Hello there!

Just a quick little summer time card to share this morning before I run out the door. This adorable Ian wearing his 'Gilligan' hat is from the Sunny kit that was released this past spring. I had pulled a piece of striped paper from the new BoBunny weekend adventures paper pad and colored both Ian and one of his Anya companions from the same set to match. But when it came time to make the card I eventually settled on different papers from that paper pad and there was no room for Anya anymore. That's okay though, I'm sure she will make it onto her own card sometime next week. The sentiment is another one from that great Easily A'moose'd set that I've been pulling out quite regularly this summer, and I love how it pulls the whole design together.  :)

Music starts with do re mi...

Hi there!

It's Tuesday and you know what that means... time for my weekly 7 Kids Your Crafting Supply Store card creation. During the month of August the 7 Kids design team is being sponsored by Cas-ual Fridays and Vilda Stamps. So I'm kicking things off with this card using the wonderful Heartbeats stamp set and coordinating dies from Cas-ual Fridays as well as this cutie from the new Our Song set from The Greeting Farm. I'm telling you that these stamps were made to go together! This sentiment totally makes me smile so it had to be the first one that I got on a card. I cut the music notes out of a sheet of ombre paper to get the pretty transition of color across the card, which I think lends to the dreamy, lovey dovey vibe.  :)

Alrighty, there is still one more week to play along in the July 'anything goes' challenge so head on over to the 7 Kids blog and play along! With so much great new product hitting the shelves, that $20 gift certificate prize could really help to fill a shopping cart!

Ice Cream Solves Everything...

Good morning!

I colored up the companion to this little guy from the CC Designs Ice Scream set back at the beginning of the month and I didn't want to let the summer pass without getting him on a card too. I really love his pose, it doesn't look like anything can ruin this cuties day so long as he has that ice cream cone in hand. Once I had him all colored up and ready for the card he needed some kind of friend to keep him company. So I flipped through my CC Designs stamp binder and came across 4 Leaf Puppy. As you can see, I altered the pup so that the stamp lost its clover aspect and became much more generic and more versatile. In all honesty I did more than just wipe away the ink on his crazy collar but I actually cut the clover petals completely off the actual rubber stamp as soon as I got it. If Roberto's Rascals ever makes a set of puppies and kitties in this style I would be first in line to buy it up, LOL! Anywho... I think these two look like they are ready to face this last month of summer and make it the best one yet!  :)

Stay cool my friends!

Have a beachin' day...

TGIF!

Well I can't seem to keep away from these Stamping Bella Littles because here I am with another card using a couple of the new stamp sets. When I saw the photo inspiration for this week's Bellarific challenge was an aerial view of a beach with tons of sun umbrellas this scene popped into my mind. So I grabbed the Palm Tree set and the Umbrella set and got to work masking and stamping until I had these three cuties all in a row. Once that was done they kind of reminded me of myself and my sisters all relaxing at a beach resort so I colored them up to look like us. If only we could really get away, LOL! Instead it is time to head to work, c'est la vie.  ;)

Hope your weekend is a relaxing one!

Let yourself shine...

Mornin' folks!

I've got one more card that I've made for this month's Farm Fresh Challenge over at The Greeting Farm. The theme is shaker cards and I got to thinking that it would be cool to turn this one into a hoard of gold hidden deep in a cavern. And I had just the stamp set to make this vision come to life... these funny little guys from the Oh Dragon set. I did alter the eye a bit on the larger dragon to take away his frowny brow so he looked just as friendly as the little guy. I filled the shaker with plenty of sequins and glitter so they had an impressive treasure to guard together and I think they are quite happy with their loot.  ;)

Ok then, I'm outta here... TTYL!

Have a magical day...

Hey there!

Today I've got a card using the sweet unicorn from the Neat and Tangled Magical Day set and a whole lot of masking. First I stamped her in desert sand ink so that I could do some no-line coloring. I wanted her mane and tail to be pretty pastel colored rainbows of hair and I'm pretty happy with the end results. Once that was complete I masked her off and grabbed the sun ray stencil along with the cloud border stencil and some pink and yellow ink to create the cloud bank she is standing on and the sunrise behind her. At this point the scene was looking pretty magical but not quite magical enough... so I inked up the Fairy Dust stamp and stamped it right on top of everything. I love how it kind of looks like sun flares and it definitely adds to the magic of the scene. Over on the Little Tangles Challenge Blog challenge #82 is all about masking so I'm going to try my luck and enter this card into the fun.  :)

Thanks for stopping by!
