Love you...

Good morning!

So I had quite a time making this card yesterday. I decided that it would be a good day to do my January start-to-finish card making videos and at first all was well. I had a request to color up a TGF Cheeky and Rockabilly was eager to get on a Valentine. So coloring the skin went well, then her dress... no problemo. Next I did her hair and while I was coloring nothing looked amiss. But while I was loading the video I could see a 'glaring' problem once I added the darkest brown. My E49 nib was dirty and had done that weird glaze like look that Copics can do when the nib gets coated in the ink inside the cap. While Rockabilly was still good to go for the card the shine of the ink made it hard to see what I was doing in the video... blerg. Then the mail lady came and pulled down the icy driveway to deliver a box of crafty goodies to me. An hour later and a call to the tow company and she was finally back on her way while I was a lot colder and wetter for my efforts at trying to help. I felt so bad for her! After a quick change into warmer clothes it was time to finish the card. Instead of relaxing into the process Oreo decided that he needed to check out what was going on... repeatedly. Oy, I love that cat but I was wishing I had made him go outside for a bit, LOL! Still, I'm loving how it turned out despite all the adventures. ;)
If you are interested in checking out the videos you can find them all on my youtube channel, here.

Now, I'm going to go lay back down for a bit and then see where the day takes me. Enjoy your Friday!

Wow what a day you had!! I have only had a chance to watch one video so far. Will watch the rest later! My gosh this is Amazing looking!!! I love your cards a lot and coming here really cheers me up!!! I have had a crap week and so has poor Brooke! Today is day 2 of not going to school for her. My mom is off today and hopefully will take more care of her then my dad did yesterday!! ugh! Hello....she won't get better on her own. The reason I brought meds over for her is to give them to her!!!! So I picked her up and her temp was 102. I brought her home got her a luke warm bath and all fresh, meds, and food into her. By the time she went to bed her temp was 99.7 Needless to say this AM her temp was still 99.7 Hopefully the day goes well and grandma gives her meds! I appreciate him offering to watch her so neither me or Brit had to miss work but.....:-)
Have an Awesome weekend doll!!!
hugs, Heidi & Brooke

Va va voom! She's a sassy little vixen! Love the use of the animal print! And thank you for sharing the info about the Copic nibs. I always wondered what was causing that funky shine when I used some markers.

Love your card Amy. I watched the video last night and it was so much fun seeing the creative process in action and sweet Orea trying to help. Most of our cats are also very helpful, but right now the latest addtion needs a lot of extra TLC, since he managed to break a hind leg above the knee last week and was operated last Friday. Now his leg is all bandaged up and he is wearing a buster collar that makes it hard for him to eat, so we are hand-feeding him (less stressful than taking his collar off and having to put it back on again). Only two more weeks to go...
Have a wonderful weekend. Sounds like you had better stay in for some crafting LOL.

It is nice hearing that is a normal phenomenon about the ink in the ink cap and getting that shiney look--thanks for that quick tip! I LOVE this card and sweet Cheeky Rockabilly!
