Thinking of you...

Olo!

So my mom had her gall bladder removed yesterday which is great. They weren't able to do the quicker laparoscopic surgery so she is having to recuperate in the hospital, probably until Monday. She is doing well and I'm feeling like we may have finally reached the final chapter in this whole ordeal... fingers crossed.

Anywho, I thought it would be fun to ink up a Sister Stamps image for my card today and I ended up doing a bit of simple altering to miss Miyoko. Originally she is holding a cupcake but that wasn't really working with the birds and flowers that I had in mind. So when I fussy cut her out I simply trimmed the cupcake off and glued a little flower in its place. Now she looks like she is enjoying some fresh spring blossoms on a sunny day while the birds are singing a cheery tune. :)

I guess I should go get myself ready for a day at work. Take care and have a wonderful weekend!

I wish your mom could have had the laparoscopic version of her surgery. I had mine taken out that way and went home the same day. Glad all went well and I hope she does come home Monday. Wish her a speedy recovery.
Love your card. Her holding that flower is much better than a cupcake for this card. You inspire me so much. I've been coloring Bu'fly Brinn, will make her into a card soon. Have a good weekend, Julie.
