As the card says, Happy New Year!
I am just tickled pink to be kicking off 2016 with The Greeting Farm and today is my first official post as a Farmer! As you know a new challenge is issued at the beginning of every month over on the TGF blog and we are starting this year with an easy one... Anything Goes. So why not make a resolution to dust off an older TGF stamp in your stash or ink up a new one and play along for a chance to win a $50 gift certificate? Better yet, grab one of the fabulous digi stamps from the store and really get creative.
Which is just what I did for my sample card today. This pretty party girl is New Year Anya and rather than printing her out at her normal size I decided to blow her up extra large so that she would make a BIG impact. At this size I didn't need to find a sentiment because her paper crown is all the sentiment I need. I also cropped Anya so that she would fall in to the corner of the card which gave me some space to play with a bokeh effect in the background. All I did was sketch in various sized circles in a very light yellow, Y000, then used some dark W8 and W10 Copics to fill in the rest of the space. Then I added a bit more yellow and the colorless blender to fuzz the edges. The smaller white dots were added by taking the eraser end of a pencil and using to stamp white ink on the card. I think it looks like we've caught a snapshot of Anya right as the clock strikes midnight. :)
Be sure to stop by the TGF blog to meet the rest of the new team and check out their fabulous inspiration as well. And you can check out all of the challenge details while you are there too!
Laters! :)

Smile...
Hey there!
Well here we are, the last day of 2015. It wasn't the best of times and it certainly wasn't the worst of times, still I'm hoping to make 2016 the best year I've had in quite some time. It's not off to a bad start considering my luck at joining the TGF design team so I'm feeling optimistic. ;)
For my card today I have done a bit of head swapping trading this cute Anya's body from the Secret Santa set with one of the scarves from an Ian in the same set and Sweater Anya's body. I think it all came together to make quite the stylin' winter ensemble. I colored her up to match this fun snowman print that I saved from an Old Navy gift bag and the 'smile' sentiment is from TGF too.
Alrighty friends have fun tonight but please stay safe out there during your celebrations.
Smooches!

Merry January...
Olo!
A couple months back I made a card combining one of the new tiny clear My Kid stamps with his larger rubber counterpart to make a cute Christmas card. So I figured it was about time to do a sisters version with these bundled up cuties before the season changes. I grabbed some scraps of my all time favorite We R Memorykeepers collection, Merry January, and colored these little ladies to match. Baby sister is from the Sing Hello set and big sis is from the Winter Greetings set. I just love how plump and round these My Kids are, my fingers are crossed that we get some new ones dressed for warmer weather cards sometime soon... doesn't matter which size. ;)
A happy hump day to ya!

Magical day...
Hello, hello!
I'm still pretty pumped about becoming a TGF Farmer so I've decided to have an entire week of Greeting Farm here on the ol' blog. Today I've colored up Icy, who is a digi stamp that I couldn't find in the store to link up unfortunately. I got her this past spring which seemed a little out of season for this winter beauty but now that there is snow on the ground I'm thrilled to finally get Icy on a card. The design is very CAS but once I got that cool bokeh paper on there I didn't want to cover too much of it up. And once again her entire outfit got covered with Wink of Stella glitter pen but the light didn't catch it to really show off the sparkle. Oh well, she still looks quite lovely. :)
Toodles!
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It
paper- Lawn Fawn (Bokeh in the Snow)

Snow cool...
Good morning!
Did everyone have a fantastic Christmas? Mine was quite wonderful, probably the best I've had in a few years. It was a beautiful white Christmas surrounded by everyone that I love... doesn't get any better than that.
I will say that it was a bit strange transitioning out of holiday card making mode yesterday. So I decided not to make a huge leap and stuck with a winter themed birthday card using one of the newer TGF Stamp Club stamps that I've received and his name is Azary. He looked like a pretty cool dude to me, maybe he is even celebrating his big day on the ski slopes. While we are on the subject of The Greeting Farm, I've got some exciting news that I have just been dying to share... I am going to be a part of the 2016 design team for TGF! I am totally thrilled to be a Farmer with such a talented bunch of ladies, it is going to be an amazing year! :)
Ok, that's all I've got for today. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Time to Jingle...
Hi there!
Well, we are here, Christmas Eve day. Are you ready? I'm thankful that I've pretty much got everything covered because I'm feeling a bit under the weather at the moment. Nothing serious, just a persistent cough but it is enough to zap some of my Christmas cheer. Hopefully the cough medicine will have me pepped back up before the big celebration tomorrow.
I made my card for today in the spirit of Christmas Eve and Santa's magic ride. My friend Beth is an amazing card maker and this past Halloween she took the Cute Cottage die from Memory Box and only used the top half of it as a witch flew overhead. I thought this was such a genius use of that die that I was inspired to make a Christmas version of my own. So I grabbed the reindeer from the Lawn Fawn Critters in the Snow set and with a bit of masking created a whole team of reindeer to pull Santa's sleigh. I used a needle to wind the twine into a harness and the jingle bells actually came from the elf's hat in the MFT Santa's Elves set. I gotta say, this was a really fun scene to create.
Here's hoping that Santa doesn't pass you by!
Hugs!

Sweetest Little Christmas...
Olo!
Today I've got a card for this week's Kraftin' Kimmie Saturday challenge which is all about "Food". I had gotten this lovely Grace stamp during a sale earlier this year and I couldn't wait to get her on a card so this was the perfect challenge for me. I paired Grace up with a fun new paper pad called Hot Cocoa not only because of her tray of gingerbread cookies but because the gingerbread print just makes me smile. I also couldn't help but fussy cut the cute milk bottle and cookie plate from a scrap of Pebbles paper to add as embellishment for good measure.
Now I really should take a cue from Grace and go get started on some holiday baking of my own.
Later gators! :)

Deck the Halls
Hello again!
The countdown to Christmas continues today with a card featuring Holiday Anya 4 from the Greeting Farm. She's been inked up and sitting on my desk for quite a while and I didn't want to miss getting her on a card before the big day. Again I needed to be quick with my creating as it was another hectic day for me. So I grabbed a little notepad of Christmas papers that were originally intended for journaling spots on scrapbook pages and turned one of the sheets into an easy but still interesting home for Anya to occupy. A sprinkling of gold and silver sequins to pull it all together and this was one happy Christmas cutie. :)
Toodles!

Santa has some favorites...
Good morning!
Wow! Can you believe we are only five days away from Christmas? That means I only have five more Christmas cards to share this year. But as busy as I've been between work and holiday prep there hasn't been a lot of time to spend in my crafty room. So this is a quick CAS card that I made last week for another cousin of mine. The funny Santas from the MFT Jingle All the Way set totally make me smile and I really wanted to make it look like this one was jumping off the ground in Christmas excitement. The only embellishment I added to the card was this cool washi tape that looks like Santa's belt, I've been wanting to use it for months!
Ok, I've got to run. Have a great day everyone! :)

Holiday Hugs...
TGIF!
Well the weather man was right, it has been snowing pretty much non-stop since yesterday morning. But instead of going outside and freezing my tuchus trying to build a snowman I decided to color one up for a card instead. So I grabbed this sweet stamp from Whipper Snapper Designs called Snowman Harmony and just went all out Christmas colors on it. The reindeer pal became Rudolph with a couple quick swipes of red Copics and Frosty is rivaling him with a colorful nose all his own. If you ask me these polar pals look to be best buds. :)
Thanks for stopping by today, hope you all have a wonderful weekend... only seven days 'til Christmas!

Mornin' folks!
I've got another CAS Christmas card to share with you today. I made this one for my cousin who loves cats as much as I do so of course I grabbed the I Knead You set from MFT to be the star of the show. I paired this sleepy kitty with some of the ornaments from the TGF Holiday Blessings set to create a scene like he has just finished causing havoc with the tree and is now innocently settling down for a long winters nap. I felt the card needed a bit of dimension so I found these Martha Stewart stocking stickers in my stash and they were the perfect finishing touch. I can't believe how quickly this whole card came together! :)
Alrighty then, catch ya on the flip side!
Laters.

Joyful wishes...
Olo!
I've got a colorful Christmas card to share today featuring this dreamy little gal from Mo's Digital Pencil called Wishing for Snow. She certainly has a wistful look on that sweet face of hers but I can tell you right now that I'm not sharing in her wish. Not that it matters since the forecast is calling for more snow starting tomorrow and continuing through the weekend. Sure, a white Christmas looks nice but it sure makes traveling a pain in the rear. Luckily I am done with most of my holiday shopping so if we get snowed in I can just sit back and relax as I listen to my Christmas tunes. ;)
Toodles! :)
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It

Santa spoils you...
Hi there!
I've got a quick post before I run out the door this morning. I made this card for the MFT sketch challenge that is closing today so I am squeaking it in just in time. I used this super sweet elf from the Santa's Elves set and paired him up with some new Echo Park paper. I love how both Santa and Rudolph are peeking in the background behind him, it makes me want to watch the old stop motion Rudolph show from my childhood... "Why am I such a misfit, I am not just a nitwit, I'm a deer of a reindeer, why don't I fit in?". LOL ;)
Ok sorry to post and run but I've got a busy day ahead.
Later gators!
Supply list:

Holiday Hello...
Hello, hello!
Today I've made a card featuring Fuzzy Wuzzy Oliver from The Greeting Farm and I am using it as my second entry into this month's Christmas Farm Fresh challenge. The hat on this guy totally makes me smile and I know that I've used it before in some alterations of different characters but this is my first time coloring up Oliver himself. I tried something a little different with his eyes, making them nice and wide and I like the results enough that I think I am going to try a similar treatment on the Blush girls in the future. As I was putting this card together Oliver felt a bit lonely and he told me he needed a buddy by his side. So I flipped through my TGF binder until I came across Puppy Love Ian and I knew I had a winner. All I had to do was wipe away the kite string that ran across the front of his body and then fussy cut the pup out... talk about the perfect pal to keep Oliver company as he spreads Christmas cheer on a cold winter's day. ;)
Alrighty folks, time for me to get ready for work. Have a good one!
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It
paper- Making Memories (Falala), Carta Bella (Warm and Cozy)

Merry little Christmas...
TGIF!
And you know what that means... another Bellariffic Friday challenge! This week we had a photo of a holiday table-scape to pull inspiration from. It was so pretty with its 50s retro pink, teal and cream that I just had to play along again. I chose to ink up Paisley has a Prezzie and colored her up to match my papers, going heavy on the pink. Then I added some cool tinsel twine to mimic the texture of the bottle bush trees in the photo, plus it helps add a Christmas vibe to an otherwise very non-traditional colored Christmas card. I know I say it a lot but I really do love how this one came together... pretty, pretty, pretty! :)
Ok, I'm off for a day of fun and coloring with friends. Have a great weekend my friends!
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It
paper- October Afternoon (Very Merry), Fancy Pants (stripe)
stamps- Stamping Bella (Uptown Girl Paisley has a Prezzie), Avery Elle (sentiment)
Simon Says Stamp wavy scalloped border die
Tim Holtz tinsel twine

The magic of Christmas...
Hey there!
I've had the idea for today's card since this past summer when I was going through my stamps and came across this Gorjuss Girl cutie. It is called The Fawn and with just a bit of altering by drawing on some antlers I knew it would make for a sweet Christmas card. I used a village scene die from Memory Box and cut it to be high on the card so that it would look like this little gal is taking a ride on Rudolph's back down in the valley. The night sky paper is a favorite from October Afternoon and it really was just sheer luck that I cut a piece with that one large glowing star hanging above the trees. It really adds to the peace and serenity of a magic winters night don'tcha think?
Smooches!
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It
paper- October Afternoon (Campfire)
stamps- Santoro Gorjuss Girl (The Fawn), Technique Tuesday (sentiment)

Light of the season...
Hi there!
So I have been wanting to make a card for the newest ADFD challenge 'Modern Christmas' since it went up on Friday because I really liked the mix of black and white with the rainbow of bright colors. And I knew just the stamp that I wanted to color up for it as well, the super adorable Wild Star Nymph. I did a bit of altering to her black eyes so that I could color them in a nice deep blue just like Cindy Lou Who which this little gal kinda reminded me of. I used the rainbow of colors on the stars and kept the rest of the card design clean and simple for that mod Christmas look. My Wink of Stella pen sort of exploded a bit on the stars in her garland so for once you can actually see the sparkle on this card, LOL! ;)
Ok, have a good one everybody!
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It
paper- Heidi Swapp (houndstooth), Making Memories (red)
digital stamp- A Day for Daisies (Wild Star Nymph)

Happy Holidays...
Good morning!
Yesterday was a crazy, busy day for me so I didn't have much time to spend in the crafty room once I got home. Luckily there was a card already started on my desk but the reason why it had been abandoned was because even though I really liked this sentiment block that I had cut out from the paper it was so large that it didn't leave much room for a colored up character stamp. I thought about grabbing the Sister Stamps peeking bear again but then I asked myself, "Self, why can't I turn any stamp into a peeking stamp?" So I grabbed one of the boys from the TGF Secret Santa set, cut off his head and colored it up super quick. Then I just drew him a couple of hands and tucked him behind that sentiment and the card was done... yeah! ;)
Ok folks, gotta go. Talk at'cha later!
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It

Season's greetings...
Hey there!
Well, apparently I am on a bit of a penguin kick because today I have colored up the Warm Winter Wishes digi stamp from Sugar Nellie and I am entering my card into this month's 'anything goes' Sugar Bowl Challenge. I love these lovey dovey penguins, they look so cute and cozy all wrapped up together in that scarf. Because I printed them out nice and big I didn't need much paper so I was able to use just a couple strips of scrap paper that I've been hanging on to for quite some time. The quilt like print seemed to fit the cozy feel of the card. :)
Alrighty, I'm off to work... have a great day!
Supply list:

Filled with Joy...
TGIF my friends!
The Bellariffic challenge for this week was 'anything goes' so I didn't want to miss an opportunity to get a card made for it, especially when I still have a couple Christmas Tiny Townies waiting in the wings. I decided to color up the super cute Jenny Feels Joyful and rather than coloring the birds to look like chicks I turned them into penguins instead. I paired them all up with some retired Making Memories goodies that I've been hoarding. MM always had the best papers and embellishments... it is still hard for me to believe that they aren't in business any more. I love how it all came together for a classy little CAS card. :)
Alrighty then, have a wonderful winter weekend!

Fun-filled Christmas...
Hello, hello!
We finally got our first real snow fall over the past two days so it is looking like a winter wonderland around here. Not only that but a lot of the packages have started to arrive from all my Black Friday online shopping so I'm feeling like one of Santa's elves hiding them away in preparation for wrapping and gifting. I guess that's why I grabbed Toymaker Elf from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps for my card today as he seems to be busy getting ready for the big day too. At first I just had him stamped on the cardstock with the sentiment beside him in black but as I started to put the card together I decided to re-stamp the sentiment on black to make it look like a chalk board hanging in the workshop. I drew a frame around it and stamped some pine boughs on top to really complete the look. The scene still needed something, so I grabbed the little doll accessory stamp that came with Charlotte and altered her a bit to be less creepy and more cutsie... perfect! And I'm going to go ahead and enter this in to the 'anything goes' Wednesday challenge on the KK blog.
