You make me happy...

Hi-ya!

Wow, can you believe we are at the last Friday of the month already? That means it is the last Bellariffic Friday for July as well and once again I am joining the fun. The challenge this week was sketch 15 and I used the super sweet Tiny Townie Sally Rides her Snail for my card. As much as I think all of the new Tiny Townies are pretty fantastic, Sally may just be my most favorite of the bunch. I love everything about this whimsical little scene because even if she doesn't have fairy wings I can imagine teeny tiny Sally taking a ride through the garden on the back of a friendly snail. I guess that is why I paired her up with this playful floral print by Doodlebug. It was another smaller scrap that I've been hanging on to and am happy to finally get on a card. :)

Ok, I'm off to spend the day in Wenatchee hangin' with my fellow Copic peeps. Fun times!
Have a great weekend everybody!

Birthday wishes...

Good morning!

I've just got a quick birthday card to share this morning. I was going through my stamped up Greeting Farm images to find one that hasn't made it onto a card yet and came across Fashionista Anya... what a beauty! It's hard to believe I got her way back in January and it took this long to color her up. I think it was worth the wait though because this little Anya looks like she was made for bright summer colors, which I pulled from this tiny scrap of floral paper that I've been hanging on to for years. I think it was just waiting to find a home with Fashionista.  ;)

Ok, time for me to scoot. TTYL!

Hi-ya sweets...

Hello, hello!

Things are heating back up in my neck of the woods so this seemed to be the perfect time to play along in the "Summer Song" challenge over at Tiddly Inks. I was inspired by the old Diamond Rio song, Sweet Summer... especially the first verse;

"He had a freezer full of bomb pops
push ups, drum sticks and dreamcicles.
And a paint chipped change box
full of sticky quarters, dimes and nickles.
It was automatic when we heard that song
run home and get your money before he's gone...
"

This Wryn from the Sweets for my Sweet set totally embodied that memory of buying ice cream from an ice cream truck on a hot summer afternoon. Especially when I paired her up with this paper from Doodlebug's Sunkissed collection... talk about setting the scene, LOL! All I needed to add was the sentiment in a little word bubble and I had a finished card. :)

Alrighty, thanks so much for stopping by. I'll catch ya later!

Time for a nap...

Mornin' folks!

My card today is a total lift from this card by Jill Foster on the Penny Black blog. I came across it on Pinterest a couple weeks ago and loved everything about it, especially since I already had that Doggone Sweet stamp set waiting to be inked up. So I stayed true to the CAS design, with the single strip of pattern paper, though mine has a bit more color as I opted for a blue card base and green twine instead of the all white palette of the original. I chose to sponge a golden yellow ink behind this tuckered out pooch so that it kinda looks like he has found a warm sunny spot to nap in. The sentiment is from the Pillow Talk set by Simon Says Stamp and it just cracks me up because there are way too many days when that thought crosses my mind, LOL!  ;)

Well, I hope your Tuesday is off to a great start. I'm hoping to be super productive around the house today... lots to cross off the ol' to-do list.

Toodles!

Sunny disposition...

Hi guys!

Today I am back to playing along in the MFT sketch challenge. It has been awhile and even longer since I inked up a Pure Innocence cutie so I was excited to pull out my MFT binder of stamps and have some fun. I settled on Sunflower Girl, who appears to be retired because I couldn't find her in the MFT store. As much as I love the Pure Innocence girls as-is, lately I've been enjoying changing up their look just a bit by simply altering their hair. This time around I lengthened it with only a few strokes of the pen... what a difference! What can I say, it's the little things that keep things fun and exciting in my creative process. ;)

Ok, well thanks for stopping by and I shall see ya manana!

Sunshine in us...

Happy Friday to you!

Who's ready for another glorious weekend? The forecast here calls for a slight cool down, only topping out in the high 70s over the next couple days. I'm ready for the break though, it will be nice being able to turn off the AC and enjoy the breeze blowing through the windows again.

Today's card is all about sunshine however, so no cool down for this Gorjuss Girl. She's called Little Ducky and I got her from Sugar Nellie years ago. I'm not 100% sure if she has made it onto a card before now but I would like to think so because she is just too darn cute in those water wings! Paper wise I paired her up with some old KI Memories favorites and a new Bella Blvd favorite, surprisingly they coordinated quite well. I am entering this card into the current 'Anything Goes' challenge over at the Sugar Bowl.

Alrighty, have a great weekend everybody!

Sunshine in...

Good morning!

I'm playing along in the current Saturday challenge over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps which is all about the "beach". I'd gotten Sassy Sprite Rayne during a Frugal Friday sale with the intention of altering her from a fairy in the water to a mermaid, cause it made more sense to me since water-logged wings would be a very bad thing. I just love how Rayne's ponytail transitions into a spray of water mimicking the wave she is leaping out of. I found this old sunburst paper in my stash which set the beachy tone that I needed for the challenge. And while I'm at it, I think I'll also enter this into the Krafty Friends Summer Stamping Party. Why not, LOL! ;)

OK, I'm outta here. Have a good one!

Floating by...

Hey, hey, hey!

It's another bright, sunshiny day so I thought I would share another bright, sunshiny card with you all.  :)

This is one of the new stamps from the Sister Stamps summer release called, Kyana. I was lucky enough to win this cutie during the sneak peeks and I couldn't wait to get her on a card. She totally reminds me of my own childhood days spent at my grandparents pool, we always had these great animal blow up toys to ride around in. Awww... good times.  ;)
Anywho, I couldn't find any water looking paper that I loved so I pulled out the watercolor paper and a whole slew of blue Distress Inks to create my own background for Kyana to float in. Once that was dry I used some old Doodlebug alpha rub ons to create my own sentiment since I didn't have a stamp that said what I wanted. A small sprinkling of enamel dots and a googly eye on her floaty and I had a summer fun card all ready to go.

Later gators!
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It
Strathmore watercolor paper

Oh, my stars...

Good morning!

Look who showed up in my mailbox yesterday... Starfish Anya. Obviously I couldn't wait to ink her up and get her on a card, LOL! She was just begging for an entire scene to be a part of so I also grabbed my new sand castle stamp from Sister Stamps and gave Anya something to work on. I even added one of her starfish to the top of the castle to make it look like Anya is decorating it with her seashore finds. Next I added some clouds in the sky and a bucket of sand to complete this idyllic scene. I gotta say, this was a fun card to put together. :)

Toodles!

Happy girls...

Hey there!

It's a brand new week and summer just keeps rolling right along doesn't it? I'm sure things will cool down before I know it but in the mean time I am determined to enjoy everything this season has to offer. Especially if that means more afternoons swimming in the great outdoors. Even with me spending more time outside that doesn't mean my crafty room is being neglected. Just take a look at what I made yesterday...

This 'big head' digi from Some Odd Girl is called Ribbon and she must be retired now because I couldn't find her in the store anymore. I'm not sure why cause I think she is just lovely. She kinda reminds me of the nouveau girls that SOG did years ago which are still some of my all time fave SOG images. I paired Ribbon up with some old Basic Grey paper because it had the same dreamy quality that she has and the flowers are a really close match to the one in her hair. She is such a significant focal point that I didn't need to add too many embellishments, just a couple butterfly punches and some bling and this card was complete.

OK, time for me to scoot.
Later gators!  :)

On my mind...

It's Friday, it's Friday!

Are you doing a little happy dance for the weekend? I sure am! ;)

So I got the chance to play along in another Bellariffic Friday challenge. It's a sketch again and this time I've used Uptown Girl Winnie Looking Out the Window. I chose her not just because the stamp is adorable but also because the size of the window made for the perfect middle panel of the sketch. To dress it up a bit I paper pieced the curtains with a pretty little polka dot print and then stamped the flower box a second time so that I could fussy cut it out and add a bit more dimension to the image with foam tape. The paper scraps come from an old favorite of mine, The Girls' Paperie, which is sadly no longer in business. I love this crazy quilt like pattern and it has me imagining that Winnie here is spending the summer in a quaint little cottage full of shabby chic decor.  :)

Okey dokey, I'm outta here. Hope your weekend is fabulous and I shall see ya back here Monday!

Thinking about you...

Hello, hello!

I slept in this morning so this post has got to be super quick!

I made my card today for the 'add some sparkle' challenge over on the A Day for Daisies blog. I used the super sweet Tiny Pixie Rose digi stamp and colored her up to match this old rose paper that I found in my stash. Looks to me like a match made in flower garden heaven. For my sparkle I added some clear Wink of Stella over her pink petal gown and of course there had to be a bit of bling as well. ;)

Alrighty friends, have a great day!

"Heart" mew...

Hi guys!

I had a fantastic time coloring and catching up yesterday. As much as I enjoy coloring in my crafty room it is always a treat to share this passion for stamping and crafting with like minded people in the flesh. Thanks Tracey and Beth! :)

My card today is a quickie featuring Pretty Kitty from Whipper Snapper Designs and a few accessory stamps from both Avery Elle and My Favorite Things. All of the stamps are on the smaller side, even Pretty Kitty, so I needed a way to give them more 'umph'. That is when I found this great sketchy dot paper in my stash and came up with the idea of using the dots kind of as a cubby hole to house each of the items. It makes for a very simple card but I love how it came together.

Well thanks for stopping by... I'll talk at'cha later!

Happy Birthday...

Olo!

I've made a second card to enter into this month's Farm Fresh 'red, white and blue' challenge over at The Greeting Farm. For this one I chose to color up Gloomsbury Charm School Willow who is one of the newer SSC stamps. Isn't she crazy cute with her excited expression and that super high ponytail? Love. To me, Willow's body language looks like she has just walked in on a surprise party so this had to be a birthday card. This word bubble sentiment sticker has been hanging in front of my desk for ages and since it is perfect for the challenge I finally got it on to a card along with a few other fun Doodlebug stickers and paper. I can always count on Doodlebug to play nicely with my Greeting Farm stamps.  ;)

Alrighty, well I am excited to say that I am off to enjoy a day of coloring and creating with a couple friends. I can't wait to get there and play!

Laters!  :)

Pawprints...

Hey there!

I got a couple new digi stamps from Some Odd Girl during their 4th of July sale and this sweet Tia and Puppy image was one of them. Ever since I began making cards for my sister's dog grooming shop I'm always on the look out for cute pet stamps and sentiments so it was nice to add her to my collection. I paired Tia with a sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Pawprints set and even though most of the sentiments are geared towards the loss of a pet I think this one can work for a more upbeat card as well. The papers are a mix of old October Afternoon that I pulled strictly for the aqua and yellow color scheme. I think it adds to the happy playful vibe I was going for.

Alrighty, time to get ready for work. Take care and I'll see you tomorrow!  :)

So amazing...

TGIF everybody!

I was in the mood to make a sweet and girlie card yesterday, oh and it had to be quick too as I didn't have much crafting time. Since the new Ever After Bean set has been sitting on my desk with all those little cuties batting their eyelashes at me, this seemed the perfect time to ink one up. But I didn't really feel like going the whole princess route on this card so I decided to do a simple head swap with one of the Beans from the Magical set and turn Sheena into a generic summer sundress kind of gal. Then it was just a matter of using up a few paper scraps, which is always a good thing, and sprinkling on a few embellies... voila! A finished card. :)

Alrighty folks, have a great weekend and I'll see ya Monday!

Awesome...

Hello again!

Sister Stamps had a big new release this month, full of super adorable beach kiddos. If you haven't checked them out yet I highly recommend that you do... cute, cute, cute! I was lucky enough to win one of the new stamps during previews and as soon as the rest were available I placed my order so that she wouldn't get lonely, LOL! And guess what arrived in the mail yesterday... yep, there wasn't a chance that I wouldn't be inking them up almost as soon as I got them out of the package.  ;)

So my card for today features the underwater adventurer, Makai, and I was inspired by Jenny and her fab design team to pair him up with some critters from the previously released Octopus set. The sizing between the stamps is perfect. The papers are Bella Blvd's Camp Out collection, which I know I used recently with a mermaid but it was too great a background to pass up. And the sentiment was a no-brainer because how awesome would it be to glide through the sea, hand in tentacle, with a round little octopus?! The yellow cardstock that the 'awesome' is cut out of looks off in this pic, in person it is a close match to the little yellow fish in the print. I suspect that the shimmery sheen it is coated with reflected too much light when I took the photo, but you'll just have to take my word for that.

Alrighty time for me to mosey... TTYL!  :)

Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It

Here comes the sun...

Mornin' friends!

Way back in February I got my hands on this sweet little mini Anya from TGF. She's the limited release rubber stamp version of the Tip Me Tuesday Anya digi file that Marie created as a free download. Right away I knew I wanted to pair her up with the bench from the Sitting Lovely set. Then she ended up just sitting and waiting on my desk because winter didn't seem like the right time to make a card with such a summertime looking scene. So when I was flipping through images yesterday and came across Anya here I knew it was her time to shine... literally. LOL! I paired her up with this old, but still fantastic, cloud paper by KI Memories and some of the Simple Stories Happy scraps that were still on my desk from the previous day's card. The card seemed nearly complete with only the paper and Anya but something was missing from this happy little scene. Then it struck me... birds. Anya needed some birds to feed while soaking up the sun on that park bench. So I grabbed my Summer Fairies set by Pergamano because it has some super cute tiny little bird stamps that are the perfect finishing touch.  :)

Later gators!

Cherry on top...

Hey there!

A few months ago I was lucky enough to be one of the winners at the Sugar Bowl challenge and this adorable Cherry Cupcake fairy was one of the digi stamps I had to use my gift certificate on. Isn't she just the cutest?! So it is only appropriate that I'm getting her on a card to enter the current SB challenge #126. I paired Cherry up with this great paper from Simple Stories that is actually one of their SNAP Packs which I think are made more for pocket scrapbooking but I love all the little bits of paper for my card making. The colors and patterns came together to create a fun and festive summertime celebration type vibe so I also stamped 'Happy Birthday' on the inside of the card.

Ok then, thanks for stopping by. I shall see you all again manana!  :)
Supply list:

Tired...

Hello, hello!

Wow, what a weekend! It was such a great celebration this year, the weather was hot, the water was cold and the bar-b-que was delish! Nothing but relaxing and good times I tell ya. Now its Monday though and time to get back to reality I guess.

I did get a card made yesterday for Sketch 235 over on the My Favorite Things challenge blog. I used the Tail Wag set and played things kind of fast and loose with the sketch, though I think the basic elements are all still there. This roley-poley hound dog was just begging to get on a card and as stubby as those little legs are I figured he could use a comfy doggy bed to relax on. Which in turn inspired the tongue in cheek sentiment that I went with. ;)

Ok, I really need to get a move on this morning.

Missing you always...

TGIF everybody!

Some of the first rubber character stamps that I purchased way back when I got started with Copics where from Stamping Bella. I love the Ketto collection they used to have and I own nearly all of them I'm sure. But it has been a while since I've added new stamps to my Stamping Bella binder... until now. Their newest release of Tiny Townies swept me off my feet and also had me taking a second look at a few older Uptown Girl images as well. Jayden Loves to Journal is one of the stamps that recently fell into my shopping cart and while I adore the stamp as-is, I also saw her just dreaming the day away perfect for a 'missing you' type card. So I wiped the pen out of her hand and the journal off the table before stamping Jayden onto the cardstock, leaving her alone with her thoughts and a cup of tea. The flowers on her shirt had me pulling this new paper from the October Afternoon Summertime collection, I mean come on... talk about a perfect match, LOL!
And because I finally have some new stamps to play with I can enter this card into the Bellarific Friday challenge today, yeah! I followed sketch 13 that was posted last week and stayed pretty true to the original design. Hopefully this is the first of many that I get a chance to play in. :)

Alrighty, wishing a fun and fabulous 4th of July weekend to my fellow stateside stampers. Stay safe and enjoy lots of Bar-B-Que!  ;)

Happy Birthday...

Hey hey!

There's a new Farm Fresh challenge up over at The Greeting Farm and the theme this month is 'red, white, and blue'. I was drawn to making a boy card with that color combo and since I was in a Wild Sprout sort of mood I went straight for that binder. I ended up doing a head swap, adding WS Edward's cutie patootie face to WS Dylan's body. This being a summer card I wanted my guy to be wearing shorts and Dylan is the only boy Sprout that I own who fit that criteria. I also wiped the number off his jersey before stamping and replaced it with a little star so that he coordinated with the papers and embellishments that I chose to use on the rest of the card. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek.
Later gators!

Kitten me...

Good morning!

It seems to me that kittens are a pretty far departure from the mermaids that have been making their homes here this past month. I know none of my own cats want anything to do with the water, LOL! But I've had these digi images printed and ready to go so when I got some new kitty paper from Bella Blvd I knew this was the time to put them together. The stamp is called Kitty Hopper from Some Odd Girl and I printed it out twice mirroring it on the one so that they faced opposite directions. I ended up trimming one apart and drawing in a new back and leg so that it looks like it is peeking into frame, trying to get a hold of some Fancy Feast. The sentiment came right from the paper and I think adding 'congratulations' to the inside of the card will be a nice fit.

Alrighty, I've got to scoot.
Take care!  :)
