Hey there!
It's the last day of the month and that means we are gearing up for a brand new Sweet November digital release at 7 Kids tomorrow. After our mini hiatus this month we are back and I'm excited to share what we've been working on. Until then, I've got this card featuring Minnow and Buckitt who were colored up in a Live during the July mini release. I always loved this one because it looks so hopeful, like Buckitt has a plan to get his pal out of this tricky situation. Alrighty, time for me to get back to coloring... so much to do before tomorrow. Hope to see you in the 7 Kids Customers Create Facebook group for the celebration!
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It
digital stamps- Sweet November (Minnow and Buckitt)
computer generated sentiment
My Favorite Things A2 stitched rectangle stax set 1
Wink of Stella clear glitter pen
Copic markers: sorry, I didn't keep a list but you can see the markers used here, here and here

Better in a bikini...
Olo!
Earlier this month I was scrolling through my Instagram feed and I saw a post from Sandy Allnock using these adorable little beach girl stamps and they immediately caught my eye. After clicking through her links I discovered that these cute stamps were part of a card making kit club called, Love From Lizi. Now I haven't purchased a card kit in years but I really wanted these stamps and when I saw how much else was included in the kit that I knew I would use, I was sold. I also snagged the two add on stamp sets that came out with it that include even more of these stylin' beach babes. In fact, the cutie on my card today is from the Summer Girl add on while the sentiment is from the Summer Loving add on. I had a lot of fun coloring her into a small beach scene and then I added the colorful die cut pieces from the kit to embellish the rest of my card along with a few flowers from my stash. All I can say is that I will definitely be keeping my eye on future Love From Lizi kits for more of these super cute stamps!
Have a good one!

Sweet Celebration...
Good Monday morning to you!
I feel like I posted another birthday card featuring cuties from the Stacy Yacula range of stamps at My Favorite Things around about the same time last month. What can I say... I've got a soft spot for these darling critters. This time I actually inked up one of the newest additions to my collection, the Sweet Celebration Wishes set that was released this month, so I feel like I am making progress, LOL! Once again I did some masking to create this fun group of party goers and I also paper pieced the party bunting, which is a tried and true technique that I haven't done in a while. It always feels good pulling those out of the ol' tool belt. In the end they all came together to make for a pretty sweet little birthday card if you ask me. ;)
Laters!

Moonlight Whispers July release!
Hello, hello!
I'm back today with a couple new cards to help celebrate this month's Moonlight Whispers digital stamp release which is now available in Annie's Etsy shop. There are two new images being released today, both of which feature fun, every day type gals; Ukulele Paws and Purrs and Morning Laundry.
First up is Ukulele Paws and Purrs. Something about this sweetie was sending me a very country girl kind of vibe. I don't know if it was the outfit, the pigtails or her little cat friend that she is serenading... perhaps it was all of those combined that had me reaching for my retired KK Funny Farm background stamp to pair with her. I think she's got big dreams of going to Nashville and becoming the next country music star, LOL!
Next we have Morning Laundry. This multitasking mama certainly has her hands full! With so much to get done in her day there is no time to slow down for breakfast. And when she's got her favorite romance novel to finish even the laundry can wait. ;)
Well I hope you've enjoyed this fun, everyday girl release and head on over to the Moonlight Whispers shop to create your own cards with these cuties!

Walk away...
Happy Saturday my friends!
I've got another Stamping Bella Scenic Saturday card to share and this week I thought it would be a nice change up to do something slightly different. As fun and as cool looking as coloring an entire card front into a scene is, I also know that it can be intimidating, especially for those just starting to dabble in stamp story telling. So I wanted to share a way to make the process a little less overwhelming as you baby step up to more involved scenes. First it helps to find a character stamp that is already full of personality because this does half the job for you. The new Oddball Pug definitely fulfills that criteria, I mean come on... just look at all that attitude! Next it helps to grab a sentiment that is going to help reinforce your message or story, in this case the hilarious sentiment from the Dog Sentiment set totally gave me my direction for this card. I decided to illustrate the act of rebellion mentioned in the sentiment by using my Copic markers to sketch in a smart phone that has now seen better days, LOL. With that simple addition the story is complete, no floor, no wall, no other kind of background necessary EXCEPT that shadow grounding both the Pug and the phone onto the otherwise white space. Think of it like a photographer's white backdrop, you still see the shadows at their feet. And it's always effective if you pull those shadows a bit dramatically either to the left or right as opposed to just a simple line beneath them, this makes your simple scene more dynamic and energized.
Well I hope that this simple walk through has you energized to try something similar... stay crafty my friends!
Supply list:
cardstock- Papertrey Ink and Catherine Pooler
paper- Doodlebug (Puppy Love)

Relax and enjoy the day...
TGIF my friends!
Since the Sweet November Vault closes tomorrow I thought I would share the resulting cards from the two Live coloring videos I did in the 7 Kids Customers Create Facebook group last Saturday. It was release day for our July Vault images, the Pixie Tadpole swim team and the gals all voted on who they wanted to see colored up. We ended up putting Lilly on a sunset beach and Polly is playing pool side, as usual we had a lot of fun with both. Now as I mentioned above the Vault closes tomorrow and once it does who knows how long it will be before we see these pixies again.

You are my summer...
Hello again!
It's my day to post over on The Greeting Farm blog and I've got another summer lovin' card to share with you today. This adorable little vacationing couple is part of the Beach Day set that was released last month and as soon as I saw them I knew I wanted them to be watching the sunset together. To help sell the dusky look I was after I made sure to color them darker than I would have if it was a bright sunny day. This helps make it look like there isn't much light hitting them and then the final touch that really drives it all home is adding in the dark shadows behind the couple and every other object on that beach. By stretching out those shadows it makes the sun feel low against that horizon, like in only a few more minutes it will sink beneath the waves leaving only a rosy glow for our two love birds.
Before I leave you, be sure to check out the TGF store because the pre-order for Mystery Box #2 is now open. These boxes are packed with never before seen stamps and are a great value that you will not want to miss out on!
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Catherine Pooler

Bee happy...
Hello, hello!
It's my day to post at 7 Kids and I decided to have some fun with the Bee Happy set from Hello Bluebird. And rather than my usual colored in background I decided to practice my stencil work some more using the Sugar Pea wave stencil and the Life Changing Blender Brushes from Picket Fence. I definitely need more practice and probably a few more inks wouldn't hurt either but I enjoyed changing things up a bit. Though I did have a mash-up idea hit me mid card with these cutie bees so I may just have to ink them up again sometime soon and try it out. I also broke out the new Oliver alpha dies that I just got to help make the sentiment really pop. :)
Ok friends, have a good one and I will see you back here tomorrow.
Supply list:
cardstock- Papertrey Ink and Catherine Pooler
paper- Pebbles
stamps- Hello Bluebird (Bee Happy and Typed Everyday)

I love you...
Hey there!
Things are still crazy in my world so another day, another catch up post. This card was made for the June TGF release using the Minkie 2 set along with the You sentiment set. OMGoodness, I have always been blending challenged with those little circle sponge applicators and could never get the ink into the small cut outs on stencils and I'm telling you these brushes have opened up a whole new crafty world for me, LOL! I'm finally excited to dust off some of the cool stencils and masks in my crafty collection and start putting them to work. ;)

Float On Together...
Good morning!
Things are busy, busy for me at the moment so I'm going to do a little post and run of this extra card I made during release week at The Greeting Farm. These canoeing cuties are from the Take a Hike set along with the sentiment and tent and mountain scene. There are only three mountains on the original image so I grabbed a black pen and sketched in a whole range to span the width of my card. These two are out enjoying a weekend camping trip and having a bit of fun as they float on down this lazy river. :)
Alrighty, I've really gotta run now. Hope your week is off to a great start!

SN July Vault release time!
Hello happy crafters!
Once again we are opening up the Sweet November Vault at 7 Kids and reintroducing you to some classic SN images. This month we have brought back three Tadpole Pixies from the summer of 2012. Polly, Phoebe and Lily will be available in the 7 Kids store for the next week but come Saturday the 27th, the Vault will close.
It's summer in Sweet November Land and while the mermaids are migrating off the coast we are going to hit the beach and meet some very special pixies who are always up for fun and exciting times when the weather starts to warm up. So grab a towel and slip on your flip flops 'cause we're heading down to the sandy shore where the Tadpole swim team are chillin'.

Pixie Polly is the fastest swimmer on the team and wins all the races
that she enters... well, unless she challenges a mermaid, but even then
it is close. And if she's not splashing in the waves Polly can be found
catching a few rays on the beach sipping her favorite strawberry
lemonade. She's simply a spunky little gal who is always looking for the
next good time.
Have you ever seen a pixie surf? If
not, you are in for a treat because Phoebe is the best on a board in all
of Sweet November Land. Just watch as she flies atop the waves doing
all sorts of trick moves as she comes back to shore. Phoebe is a little
bundle of energy and a total free spirit. She likes nothing more than to
spend her days swimming and surfing... always chasing that next big
wave. If you are feeling up to it she would be more than happy to give
you a lesson or two. ;)
Sure, little Lily loves to jump into the waves and splash around with
all her pals but she may just love lounging on her beach towel even
more. There's nothing more relaxing than sunning on that white sand with
a good book and a friend or two to chat and gossip with. If you have
the time to settle down next to her I promise that you will get an ear
full of all the latest going-ons in Sweet November Land. Just be sure to
borrow some of Lily's sunscreen so you don't get burned while hanging
out. ;)

Sunny smiles...
TGIF my friends!
As soon as I saw the darling Seaside Girls from the latest Hello Bluebird release I knew that I wanted to pair them up with some of the elements from the Hippos on Holiday set which is also from HB. I love the kinda vintage look of these sweeties in their little bloomer type swimsuits so I wanted to keep my coloring on the softer side to play up that idea. I paired this sea shell searcher with the umbrella and beach towel from the Hippos on Holiday set and even though the girls come with some cute seagulls I ended up using one from the Hippo set instead. As the scene started to come together I also ended up grabbing a Hero Arts Color Layering Sea and Sky set to add in a few extra details like the sail boat and the clouds. It actually came together pretty close to how I had envisioned the card in my head so that makes me really happy. :)
Alrighty, well I shall see you back here tomorrow for the July Sweet November Vault release!

Hello, friend...
Hey there!
It's not too late for another mermaid card, right? Not when this pair of cuties from Mo's Digital Pencil jumped into my cart there last month! This image is called Hello Friend and I could just die from the cuteness, I mean seriously the look on that little mermaid's face up on the rock... priceless and oh so sweet! And to all my fellow Stranger Things fans, doesn't the mermaid peeking out of the water kind of look like Dustin? LOL, like I said... SO cute! I wanted to create some dramatic waterfalls behind them and with all that water and the sky the card was looking very monochromatic blue. Which isn't a bad thing but because I wanted these two friends to really pop I took advantage of all those cool colors in the background and went the complete opposite on the mermaids using lots of bright, warm colors for a nice contrast. I love how this brings them front and center and that even with all of that going on in the background, they are very much the stars of the show. ;)
Alrighty, I'm off to get some stuff done around the house before I can play. Have a good one everybody!

You can always read me...
Hello, hello!
I'm playing with another new Dreamerland cutie from the summer release today. This one is called Good Reading Companion and it features this darling girl in her summer dress reading away the afternoon with her four legged friend. I really love the unique perspective on this image, like you the viewer are standing behind them looking down, you just don't see that a lot. Rather than coloring in a full scene and trying to transition from the grass up into other elements I decided to grab some pretty papers from October Afternoon that tied into the whole reading theme of the card instead. I like how the book print paper looks like it could be the page she is currently reading and of course I pulled my inspiration for her dress from the little bit of pretty floral paper that I used as well. I can't tell you how much I wish I could trade places with her and just while away the hours with a good historical romance novel right about now, LOL! Alas, the busy days keeping rolling on... oh well at least I can still make time for my coloring. ;)
Toodles!

Making it shine...
Hello crafty friends!
In case you hadn't heard the news yet, the A Day For Daisies digital stamp shop is closing its doors at the end of the month. This news breaks my heart as I have been a long time fan of Tammy's art work. I even went back into my blog archives to see when I posted my first ADFD card and it was all the way back in 2012. As I scrolled through them it was fun seeing all those cards again, many of which stick with me as some of my own personal faves during all my many years of card making. More recently I haven't had as much time as I would like to get more of these images onto cards but I just had to take a moment to say my own goodbye to a wonderful little shop. While I've still got plenty of great ADFD digis on my hard drive, I couldn't help but take advantage of the current 20% OFF the entire store sale and add a few more lovelies to my collection. This Love of Birds image was one of them and as always I just adore the moods that are captured in these loose and flowing lines. It really does feel like a bit of magic watching them come to life as you add color, fleshing them out into solid looking characters that totally transport you into their stories. And while I am sad no new images will be coming our way, I am grateful for the ones I have and look forward to continuing to create with them all for many more years to come. So here's to wishing Tammy all the best in wherever her creative journey takes her next and thank you for your amazing contribution to this wonderful hobby of ours. :)
Hugs!

It's Your Birthday...
It’s the 15th, and the JULY Release is now available for purchase in The Greeting Farm Store.
We are so excited to introduce 4 new stamps this month! Our first set, called TAKE A HIKE features the cutest couple ready to go on summer adventures. Our 2nd set called MISS ANYA SAMOYED features some fabulous Miss Anyas and an adorable Samoyed dog. Next, we have SLUMBER PARTY with 3 girls all ready for their sleepover. And lastly, we have a new sentiment set called THIS DAY perfect for those planner and calendar pages.
To
celebrate our release, we are having a short BLOG HOP!! You have until
JULY 18th at 12pm CST/1pm EST to leave your comments on each Designer's
Blog and The Greeting Farm Blog (letting us know you completed the hop).
The winner wins this entire release!
Hi all! For my card today I have paired this sweet gal from the new Miss Anya Samoyed set with the It's Your Birthday set that was released earlier this year. Her expression and the way she is holding her hands to her chest made her look so excited, like she had just walked into a surprise party thrown in her honor. So I pulled some pretty papers and colored her and the simple birthday scene to match. I even raided my long neglected ribbon stash to tie a pretty bow for some added decoration.
Alrighty, I won't keep ya... have fun hopping!
**NOTE: Please use the same name on
all the blogs when leaving a comment. Also, please do not pick the
Anonymous option when leaving a comment (otherwise we won't be able to
verify that it's you). Thank you!
