TGIF!
It's hard to believe another year has come and gone. A lot of good has happened and some less than great moments as well. Still, there isn't much for me to complain about so I shall call it a win. On the crafty card making front I made a lot of cards this year and had a great time doing it but it still feels like I didn't even create half of the ideas that I had. So many great stamps to choose from, so little time, LOL! Here's to another crafty and creative trip around the sun. :)
For my final card of 2016 I decided to ink up the Frosty Fairy Friends set from Lawn Fawn. It had been sitting on my desk during the entire Christmas card making season but it always got bumped for something else. As I was cleaning up and putting away all the Christmas goodies I couldn't bring myself to pack them up until after I got these sweet fairies on a card. As it often does, inspiration came from looking through my paper stash. I found the beautiful Winter Wonderland papers from Simple Stories and I knew it was a perfect fit. I just love the soft pretty colors of this collection and can't wait to use it again soon. Now I'm glad these fairies had to wait before finding their snowy home.
Now a big thank you to all of my blog followers... thanks for sticking with me for another crazy year of coloring and card making! I am so blessed to have a hobby that I love and so many amazing fellow crafters to share it with. Here's to a fantastic 2017!

Happy looks good on you...
Olo!
Well the birthday party was a success last night and good times were had by all. Now it's time to start getting ready for our New Year's Eve party... so much celebrating this time of year!
When it came time to make a card yesterday I figured this happy little guy from the Snow Boys set was well suited to this celebratory time of year. He's got some serious pep in his step and you can just tell there is no keeping him down. With that funny hat of his I couldn't resist giving his whole outfit a nice plaid design. Then he looked like he needed to be out in the great white yonder so using a few different dies I was able to create this great scene for him to live in as well. The entire card came together rather quickly and I gotta say, it's another one that makes me smile every time I look at it. :)
Take care and I shall see ya back here tomorrow for my last post of 2016!

New Couple...
Hello, hello!
Just a quick post today to share this card that I made months ago for a cousin's wedding. It was a country chic themed wedding so I thought this pretty white floral print on kraft was the perfect background for these sweet newly weds. The stamp is another fabulous image from Impronte d' Autore called Sposini. They have so many adorable wedding/couple stamps that it was hard to choose but in the end I couldn't resist these two holding hands.
Ok folks, gotta run... it's my brother's birthday and I gotta get ready for the party.
Laters! :)
Supply list:
cardstock- Papertrey Ink
paper- Pebbles (Spring Fling)
stamps- Impronte d' Autore (Sposini), Papertrey Ink (sentiment)
ink- Memento tuxedo black
My Favorite Things (stitched scallop rectangle die)
Ranger liquid pearls
Sakura stardust glitter pen
Wink of Stella clear glitter pen
Copic markers:
sorry, lost my list

Hey dude...
Hey there!
I've got one last card from the Mini Remix Boys release to add here. The background was made using a big 'hey' mask and some Tim Holtz Distress inks as watercolors long before I got my hands on this great stamp set. When it came time to create some cards with them I knew that this background would be perfect. So I pulled the yellow and orange in his outfit from the watercolors and gave him a basketball to play with since it was orange too. It's a really CAS design but I think it works for a simple 'hello' type card. :)
Stay classy my friends!
Supply list:
cardstock- Papertrey Ink and Copic X-Press It
watercolor paper
stamps- The Greeting Farm (Mini Remix Boy set)
ink- Memento tuxedo black, Tim Holtz Distress spiced marmalade and mustard seed
Studio Calico hey mask
Doodlebug Sprinkles and enamel basketball
Sharpie white marker
Copic markers:

hair- T5, T7, T9, 110

Braver, stronger, smarter...
Good morning!
I hope all of my crafty friends enjoyed a magical holiday weekend. I certainly did. Christmas day was beautiful with just enough snow on the ground, blue skies and sunshine. Plus spending time with my family is always a good thing.
I made this card for the Greeting Farm release back in November and just realized that I hadn't shared it here on the ol' blog yet. This little guy is from the Mini Remix Boys set and he kinda looks like a skater dude to me so I paired him up with the skateboard from the same set. I paired him up with the So Rad paper pack which included this great sentiment. All in all it makes for a nice, generic guy card which is always nice to have on hand in the card stash.
Later gators! :)

Singing loud for all to hear...
Happy Christmas Eve!
I'm here with a surprise weekend post because I recently got the idea for this card and didn't want to wait an entire year before getting to execute it. As I was looking at the digi stamps in the TGF store I got to thinking that with a bit of altering the Wild Sprout Grads could easily be made into a Christmas choir. So I masked off their caps and diplomas before printing then drew in the tops of their heads. Now I had a wonderful little choir ready to spread some serious Christmas cheer. Oh and they were printed in mini size so that I could easily fit all four on the card.
Well since I didn't get as much baking done yesterday as I had hoped I'm off to the kitchen to get busy. Merry Christmas to all my crafty friends who are celebrating! :)

Eat, drink and be merry...
TGIF my friends!
It's Christmas Eve, Eve and there are only two more sleeps until the big day. I've got to work again today but I hope to get home in the early afternoon so I can start making some Christmas cookies to give out on Saturday. There is still so much to do and so little time... yikes!
In fact yesterday was another busy day and once again I wasn't left with a lot of time in the crafty room. I figured this would be the perfect time to get the December cupcake from the Baker's Dozen set onto a card. It's another one that I colored up back in the fall so that saved some time. But I really wanted to pair this one up with a character stamp and since I love this sweet mouse from Sister Stamps he seemed a great choice. By masking the cupcake I could tuck him in nice and close then I did a tiny alteration by drawing in a tongue so it looks like he is licking the cream cheese frosting off that red velvet cupcake. To save more time I even used the same MFT sketch as yesterday's card, that has been very handy indeed! :)
Thanks for stopping by!

Merry Little Christmas...
Hello!
Yesterday was a crazy day at work and I knew there wasn't going to be much time for crafting once I got home. Luckily for me, I recently stumbled across this little elf, from the fun Santa's Elves set, whom I had colored up last winter but never got on a card. Perfect, now all I had to do was check out this week's MFT sketch challenge and I would have a cute Christmas card done in a flash. So this is my 10 minute Christmas card and I couldn't be happier. :)
Toodles!

Lots of smiles...
Hello again!
As we near Christmas day I imagine Santa and his crew are just as busy getting ready for the big day as we are down here. Still, amongst all of the preparations and general business I'm sure Santa can find a minute or two for some much needed frivolity. That's why I love this crazy stamp from Impronte d'Autore so much. It's called Babbo Selfie and just look at how happy Santa and Rudy are, hamming it up for the camera. I found the perfect papers to pair with them when I came across this little North Pole square, seriously it looks like it was made for them. Plus it made putting the card together a fairly quick affair which is always a plus during this busy time of year.
Ok then, thanks so much for stopping by today! :)

Sweet Christmas Wishes...
Hey there!
So who let the elves loose in Mrs. Claus' kitchen?! LOL, I had so much fun combining the wee elves from the TGF Ho Ho Holiday set with the oven and baking paraphernalia from the Lawn Fawn Sprinkled with Joy set. I just knew that these would be a match made in Christmas cheer. I think these three were feeling a bit jealous of all the cookies Santa gets to snack on while out on his big ride so they decided to make their own batch of delicious Christmas cookies. It doesn't get much better than spending time in the kitchen with friends and loved ones don'tcha think? ;)
Alrighty, I gots to get moving... looks like I'll be digging the car out of the snow this morning.

Joyful Greetings...
Good morning!
It's here, we're in the home stretch... the last official week before Christmas day. I'm feeling pretty good about it all, just a few last minute little gifts to get and then baking on Friday and I will be ready. All my cards have been sent out so any that I make now will just have to wait 'til next year to fulfill their holiday destiny, kinda like this trio of Carolers from Roberto's Rascals. I think that these two tots getting upstaged by their vocal little pup are just the absolute cutest! They don't even mind pupper taking the lead, LOL! Instead of accenting the scene with some festive Christmas papers I found a sheet of snowflake rub-ons and decided to put them to use in a gentle cascade pattern falling from the top of the card. It felt great to step out of my creative box and use up some of the other cool goodies that I've collected over the years.
Ok, time to get ready for work. Talk at'cha later! :)
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Papertrey Ink

Jingle all the way...
TGIF my friends!
So today is my final post as a 2016 design team member over on the TGF blog. It's hard to believe the year has flown by so quickly! I've had such a wonderful time and while I will miss being an official Farmer my love of Greeting Farm stamps runs too deep for it to really feel like I am saying good-bye. You can bet that I will be right there in line, eager to see what fun new characters Marie has in store for us in 2017. :)
For my last official DT card I decided to embrace my stamp altering roots and do a head swap to create this Christmas cutie. I used Amor Anya's head, with the hearts wiped away from her hat before stamping, and combined it with the present bearing body of one of the Secret Santa kit Anyas. I also grabbed the holly from the Pop Out Christmas set to add a festive touch to this new Anya's cap. I really wanted it to look like Anya was getting ready to do her own Santa run delivering presents but instead of a sleigh I gave her an old '57 Chevy to get around in... bright red of course! This girl is definitely ready to spread some Christmas cheer and jingle all the way! ;)
Have a wonderful weekend everybody!
Supply list:

Mistletoe kisses...
Olo!
Today I'm sharing another card made for a family member and she is a fellow cat lover like myself. Once again I had gotten this funny Cat Stackers stamp this past summer with every intention of getting it on to a cute card or two earlier in the year. It didn't happen then but when it came time to think of a Christmas card for my cousin I immediately thought of this stack of cats. They seemed to need something festive to be climbing for so I grabbed a mistletoe stamp to be the goal of all that mischievousness. Just a little higher and that mistletoe is gonna be toast, LOL! I gotta say, it's been a lot of fun stretching my stamps a bit to make them work for the holidays. :)
Later gators!
Supply list:
cardstock- Papertrey Ink and Bazzill

Cozy Christmas...
Hey there
This year I had an aunt and uncle downsize, following the current tiny house trend, so I thought it would be fun to use this Tiny Trailer stamp on a Christmas card for them. I had originally got it back in the summer with the intention to pair it up with some camping characters but that didn't happen. I think it's cool how it worked out though because now this festive trailer gets to be the star of the show. I colored it in silver and gold then added the party lights to the background for some extra color and holiday cheer.
Thanks for stopping by and have a good one! :)
Supply list:
cardstock- Papertrey Ink
stamps- Stampendous (Tiny Trailer), October Afternoon (Party Lights), Papertrey Ink (sentiment)
ink- Memento tuxedo black

Peace, love and joy...
Hello there!
Today is my second post as a guest designer for A Day For Daisies and this time I'm having some fun with the Musical Bell Fairy digi stamp. I did a tiny bit of altering to her by drawing in a second wing and removing the bottom two tiers of her skirt. This made her dress look more like the bells she is wearing which is the look I was going for. The Christmas song 'Silver Bells' came to mind so I wanted to make this sweet fairy all shiny and bright. Then when it came time to put the card together I found this beautiful gold print in the Winter Wishes paper pad and a second Christmas lyric came to mind, "Silver and gold decorations, on every Christmas tree". That clinched the decision to stick with the silver and gold color scheme for the entire card. I love how delicate and dreamy she looks. :)
Ok, it's another early day at work so time for me to fly.
Smooches!

Merry Christmas...
Good morning!
After watching the classic Rudolph Christmas special on TV the other night, I really wanted to create a 'bumble' inspired Christmas card using the Beast Friends set from MFT. I chose this cute guy because I knew I could add a star to his upraised arm and mimic the end of the show when Yukon Cornelius shows up with a newly tamed Bumble to help add toppers to the Christmas trees. Since I had the stamps all picked out I decided to check out the latest MFT sketch challenge to see if I wanted to play along. I was really inspired by the layout so it became the perfect jumping off point. I did shift the sentiment block up compared to the original sketch but it was just getting too crowded down at the bottom of the card. There is a lot of die action going on to create the background and it ended up being pretty monochromatic blue for a Christmas card but I think it does a good job of transporting us to the North Pole.
Alrighty, rumor has it that Bumbles bounce but right now it's time for me to bounce. Laters! :)
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill, Papertrey Ink and Copic X-Press It
stamps- My Favorite Things (Beast Friends set and Hand Lettered Holiday set)
ink- Memento tuxedo black, Hero Arts mermaid ombre
My Favorite Things Snow Capped Mountains dies
My Favorite Things stitched snow drifts die
Avery Elle falling snow die
star sequin
Copic markers:
bumble- B000, B41, B52, C00, C1, C2
tree- G09, G17, G29

Peace, joy and mad love...
TGIF!
I've always loved the idea of Mrs. Claus doing her thing up at the North Pole. Heck, the song Mrs. Santa Claus by Nat King Cole has long been on my personal Christmas play list. So you can imagine how excited I was to add these adorable stamps from Impronte d'Autore to my collection. I paired up the Babba Bucato of Mrs. Claus with the Panni Stesi clothesline stamp and drew in the pole to connect the two. I thought the sentiment I paired with this industrious little lady was a fun choice because you know it takes mad love to wash someone else's dirty drawers day after day, LOL! ;)
Alrighty, gotta go get ready for work. Have a great weekend everybody!

Sending Warm Wishes...
Mornin' friends!
I got the final TGF Super Secret Stamp Club stamp in the mail the other day and I'm not gonna lie, it was a bittersweet moment. I have so enjoyed being surprised with a new stamp each month over the past three years and I will miss the anticipation that came along with it. But if the trade off is more regular monthly releases then I can certainly get on board with that.
Joy Anya with her fancy little outfit looked to me like she was dressed up for a Christmas Eve party. So I grabbed the Merry Mantle stamp set from Mama Elephant and with just a bit of masking, managed to surround Joy with the warm glow of the fireplace all decorated up for the season. I even gave her one of the stockings since she was such a good girl this year.
Ok, time for me to get going. TTYL!
Supply list:

The nice list...
Olo!
I'm taking a trip up to Santa's workshop for today's card and just look at this sweet faced little elf that I've stumbled across. He's called Toy Shop Helper and he's from Mo's Digital Pencil. As soon as I saw this cutie in the shop I knew I had to snap him up because he reminds me of the elves in the Santa Clause movie with Tim Allen. Sure he may look like he's three years old but he's actually been running his department for over 300 years! Awww... the magic of Christmas. ;)
I'm also spreading the holiday cheer and entering this card into the Anything Goes challenge over at Mo's Digital Challenge.

I'm also spreading the holiday cheer and entering this card into the Anything Goes challenge over at Mo's Digital Challenge.

Joys of the season...
Hello again!
We got our first real snow of the season yesterday even though the forecast wasn't predicting any til Thursday. I was really hoping for a couple more days of clear roads but what can you do? As pretty as the white stuff can be, more than anything it just makes me want to hole up in my comfy home with a kitty or two to snuggle. Kinda like this super sweet little sleepy head from CC Designs, she's called Sleepy Cinnamon and she is part of the new Rustic Sugar range of stamps. I love the story this image tells with the cookie crumbs on the plate and Cinnamon cozied down in her warmest footy pajamas, it looks like someone was trying to spy on old St. Nick but just couldn't keep her eyes open. I can remember trying to do the same thing as a kid and try as I might I never did manage to catch a glimpse of the big guy in action either. ;)
Toodles!
