TGIF everybody!
I'm so excited to actually have the day off. My mom and sisters are joining me for a much needed girl's day out shopping trip. We've got a list of stores we want to hit and our fave Chinese restaurant planned for lunch... I can't wait! With summer always being so busy around here it is rare that I get out of town this time of year so I plan to make every moment count on this day trip of ours. :)
My card today features a little kitten from the Some Odd Girl Clever Kittys set and he looks almost as happy as I feel right now, LOL! I paired this cat napper with the ball of yarn and toy mouse from the same set because I wanted it to look like he had worn himself out playing and then curled up for a quick rest in the sunshine. The sentiment is something I came up with myself after seeing a mug that read, "Today I will be happier than a bird with a french fry". I thought that was really cute and since sunshine and napping kitties seem to go hand in hand this version of the sentiment seems just as appropriate. Now all I have to do is get the card to my sister so she can sell it in her dog grooming salon.
Okey dokey, I'm off. Have a fabulous weekend! :)

Berry sweet...
Olo!
I told you the other day that I had altered the new TGF Stamp Club cutie called Slippers and here she is. I opened up her eyes by wiping the ink away from her lowered lashes before stamping and then used my light box to trace on Fairest's wide eyes. But I didn't want her looking up so I traced Tress' pupils instead. Oh, and I also wiped away her toes and just drew in a straight line to give her a slipper on her bare foot. The easiest alteration came when I cut out a berry from the Summer Squeeze paper and glued it right over the slipper she is originally holding. Now instead of heading off to a midnight ball Slippers is spending a sunny afternoon out in the berry patch.
Okey dokey then, time for me to run and get myself ready for another day of work.

Make a wish...
Hello, hello!
Well, I didn't get my June Stamp Club stamp from TGF until yesterday but I inked her up as soon as I brought the mail in. This month is a darling version of Cinderella called Slippers. For my first go round of coloring I like to stick with the traditional colors so of course I stuck with the blond hair and blue dress theme. But I've also already altered another version of Slippers with her eyes wide open and I'm looking forward to doing a complete 180 with her on my next card.
But I digress... getting back to today's card, I paired Slippers with a pretty piece of paper from the October Afternoon Girl Talk collection. That floral had a kind of retro 50's vibe to me which suited her quite nicely. I went with the 'make a wish' sentiment because that song from the cartoon kept running through my head as I was coloring her. You know the song I mean... "A dream is a wish your heart makes, when you're fast asleep...". Unfortunately those are the only words I remember so that is what kept looping over and over and over, LOL! Anywho, once I had that all together the card still needed something. And then it hit me... Slippers needed a few of her mice friends to join her. So I grabbed my Pergamano Flower Girls clear stamp set because it has a couple mice that are the perfect size. Once they were part of the scene my card finally felt complete. :)
Ok, it is back to work for me today so I should go get ready for the day.

My favorite person...
Good Monday morning to you!
I can't believe we are already kicking off the second week of June! Graduations are happening and town is getting super busy. It's been hot enough that some people are already swimming in the lake but I think I'll be waiting for it to heat up just a bit longer. Still, it's been beautiful and I've enjoyed several evenings out playing wicked games of black widow croquet with my closest peeps. We have a large mowed field behind my place so the courses are pretty epic and we always have so much fun. :)
I've also managed to spend some time in the crafty room and make another card for my sister to sell in her dog grooming salon. This one is kinda special because Tracy has a sweet English Bulldog named C.G. (Cover Girl) and I colored up this SOG Preppy Pups stamp to look just like her. I think my sis was pretty tickled to get this one and might find it hard to part with it for a while.
Well, I'm hoping that my June Stamp Club stamp arrives in the mail today and if it does you know I'll be inking it up right away. So hopefully I'll be back again with another post tomorrow.
Later gators!

I really do...
Hi there!
I just read the notice that June's Stamp Club stamp has been mailed off and I realized that I hadn't even colored up May's stamp yet... for shame! So of course I had to ink up Miss Beauty and make amends for that little oversight. I was so excited when I got her because Belle and Tiana are the two princesses that I was most looking forward to in this fairytale theme that Marie is doing. Though I would just die and go to heaven if we get Ariel in mermaid form as well. Oh and since I'm planning on seeing the new movie soon, I think a SSC version of Maleficent would be pretty darn cool come October... ya know, for some cute Halloween cards. ;)
But I digress, back to Beauty... as you can see I colored her up pretty true to the Disney version. Brown hair, yellow dress and a perfect rose for her sweetie, Beast. I think that's why I chose the sentiment I did... 'cause she really does love him, LOL! The papers are oooold scraps from my handy dandy bag o' scraps and I just finished the card off with some pretty ribbon and a few pearls.
Alrighty friends, thanks for hanging in there with me and my sporadic posting. I'm still hoping to get back on a more regular schedule soon.

Need some hugs?
Hi there!
Well, you know what they say about the best laid plans don'tcha? These past few days sure didn't go how I thought they would. Nothing major or upsetting, Grandma is still doing well and so is my mom, it just seems that circumstances are conspiring against me having a lot of free time at the moment. I've been working a lot which makes for great paychecks, which in turn allow me to keep getting new stamps that I love. Now the trick is finding time to actually use them, LOL!
As seems to be my pattern lately, this card was a couple days in the works. You wouldn't think so, as simple as it turned out, but I either have time to color or create lately not both together. I used the first of three new Gorjuss Girls that I got recently and this one is called, The Black Star. I paired her up with some older Basic Gray papers from my scrap bag and a sentiment that I thought suited her look. Something about this little gal just feels like she could use a good hug at the moment. For some reason her dress is looking a bit more blue than in real life where I swear it is a better match to that aqua color behind her... weird.
Anywho, time for me to sign off and get ready for another day of work.

The smile you gave me...
Good morning!
I hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend. I've finally got a day off today so I'm set to relax and have some fun. Though as neglected as the house has been this past week, it looks like I'll be spending most of my free time doing chores... bleh. At least I should be able to squeeze in a card between dishes, vacuuming, and loads of laundry. ;)
I got my hands on some new BoBunny Lemonade Stand paper and I wanted to make a bright, hello summer type of card with it. So I flipped through the digi images that I have printed off and found Summery Mae from Some Odd Girl. I love how casual and carefree she looks in that flowing maxi skirt and you just know that I had to give it rainbow stripes to match the paper. Then I found this sentiment and the whole card clicked. Not only is Mae wearing a sweet smile but I think that a cheery rainbow skirt is a good equivalent to wearing a smile as well. :)
Okey dokey, I'm off to get this day started so that I can play later.
Have a good one!

Smile...
Hello, hello!
Boy this month is slipping away faster than I would like. I had all these plans and things I wanted to do before summer really hit and here we are already staring down Memorial day weekend. And around here anyway this is the weekend when the summer tourist season goes into overdrive. So now I'm rushing around trying to get things crossed off my to-do list and it's just not all going to happen... sigh...
One of the things on my list was to get more cards done as I've been missing my crafty room quite a bit lately. So when this TGF Instafun kit arrived in the mail yesterday I made no excuses and dove right in. I'm not a big fan of the mustache trend but Party Props Anya was way too cute to pass up and she makes for a great birthday card. I used some of the Bella Blvd paper from the kit as well as the cardstock and colored Anya to match. The sentiment and other goodies were supplemented from my stash. It really got my creative juices flowing again and if I didn't have to go to town today I would be right back in there working on another card. Alas, I doubt I get back home early enough to make that happen. Hopefully I don't lose too much momentum and am back with another card come Friday... fingers crossed! LOL :)

Hello there...
Good morning!
Sorry that it's been awhile since my last post. I wish I could say that it was because of fun and exciting things but not so much. My grandma had a heart attack last week and is in the hospital. She's getting better but as you can imagine the entire family has been rallying around her so the usual schedules kind of get tossed out the window. Thankfully she should be coming home today to heal and get her strength back before possibly going in for surgery at a later date.
So this card has actually been a work in progress over the past four days or so. I colored up another of my new Greeting Farm stamps, Miss Anya Summer and matched her to some new Echo Park papers. I really love this little gal and can see so many head swapping possibilities with her. As I was putting the card together I spotted this little kitty that was left over from the Hallobean alteration that I did a couple weeks ago. He was too cute not to get on a card so I colored him up as well and now Miss Anya has a new best friend. This actually got me to thinking about how great a Miss Anya/My Guy Ian pet set(s) would be. Heck you could have one with just cats and another with a handful of different pups for Anya and Ian to walk. Wouldn't that be fantastic?! Hmmm... maybe I should run this idea by Marie... :)
Ok then, thanks for stopping by and hopefully I'll be back with something to share much sooner than this last week allowed.

All the boys...
Hey there!
Well, there's nothing like starting off the week with an emergency trip to the dentist... ugh. It knocked me off my feet for a full day and I'm just now getting back into 100% mode. Needless to say, it took me a couple days to get into the crafty room but the silver lining is that it gave me some time for a few more stamp orders to arrive. ;)
One of which was another package from The Greeting Farm containing the May release stamps. I was so super duper excited to see a new Miss Anya set that I hit the order button right away. I also got the WS Wild Child set but I honestly didn't think it would be the first one that I reached for... especially not the foxy little dude Sprout. But here we are... go figure! I did do a bit of altering by changing out his eyes for WS Edward's eyes, just because they are my favorite WS boy eyes that Marie has done. Oh, and I also trimmed off his tail when I cut him out but otherwise not too much of a change.
I paired Foxy up with the Max paper collection from Bella Blvd and was delighted to find that little fox sticker included in the set... talk about being meant to be! The sentiment is also from that same sticker sheet and I just think it is really sweet. I finished off the card by stamping "Happy Birthday" in the center. I gotta say, I don't make boy cards nearly as often as girlie cards but when I do they end up being some of my faves.
Okey dokey then, enjoy your day and I'll check back in with ya tomorrow. :)

Happy Birthday...
Hi there!
This was a great mail weekend for me. I got a couple of stamp orders, one of which was the Magical Bean kit from The Greeting Farm... yeah! Being a short haired girl myself, I couldn't wait to ink up this new Bean who is exclusive to the kit. I love her sweet bobbed hair-do and flirty party dress. With those flowers in her hair I pictured Magical going to an evening garden party and I had just the paper to make that vision come to life. Don't those strings of lights look like they are glowing against a dusky night sky? I have a feeling that this wee Bean will be the belle of the bash, LOL!
I'm also playing along in this week's Farm Fresh Challenge to use buttons and bows. Considering twine and buttons are a couple of my go-to embellishments this was an easy one. Though I couldn't resist sprinkling in a few sequins as well. ;)
Alrighty, one more thing before I leave ya for the day... the Magical Bean kit came with 10 Beans, eight of which where previously released as clear stamp sets. Because I already own those clear Beans I decided to cut this set apart and put the repeats up for sale over in my 1000 Sheets Card Shop. So if anyone out there is looking for one or two Beans to fill out a collection this could be just what you are looking for. I'm putting them up for $6 each plus $2 sh/h within the U.S. International shipping will be $5 and I'm willing to combine any orders to save on shipping.
Okey dokey then, have a great Monday! :)
Supply list:

Hang in there...
TGIF my crafty friends!
It looks like it's going to be a gorgeous weekend with near record highs and I'm ready for it. Apple Blossom celebrations are in full swing with parades tomorrow and next weekend so town should be hoppin'. I guess this means I should officially say good bye to cooler weather and pack up all my winter clothes and pull out the shorts, crop pants, and maxi dresses. ;)
In the spirit of enjoying some outdoor fun I decided to color up this super cute Wryn stamp from Tiddly Inks called Hang in There. She's been 'hanging out' in my stash all winter just waiting for her chance to grace a card. I love, and have a tendency to collect, cloud print papers so it was nice to use some up here because it really creates a great backdrop for Wryn as she dangles from that branch. The colors were kept bright and cheery because I wanted the overall look to be as uplifting as the sentiment that comes with the set. And it seems like my CAS streak continues... I'm not sure if it is more of a shift in my crafting style or the continued time crunch that I find myself in? I guess we'll just have to wait and see where it goes from here. :)
Well thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Lordy bees...
Hello, hello!
Back before Halloween I had printed off this little Hallobean digi so that I could use her witchy hat on another stamp. But even after I had cut away the hat she was too cute for me to just toss in the trash. So I've hung on to her, waiting for inspiration to strike on how I might use this 'lobotomized' lass on a card. Finally I was going through images yesterday and when I came across Hallobean again I thought that I could use my light box to draw in the top of her head and by adding a May Day crown of flowers it would hide the seam between the original stamp and my new addition to her look... so that's exactly what I did. I also cut away the long trailing parts of her scarf to lighten up her ensemble into a more spring inspired look. Now this Bean is ready to do some May Day mischief, leaving bouquets of flowers at all of her neighbor's doors. ;)
Once again I found myself reaching for these Garden Party papers by Pebbles. They've been quite the favorite of mine this spring. I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've used the bee paper at least. And how could I not use that sentiment stamp with all those bees buzzing in the background... it was too perfect of a pairing, LOL!
Anywho, I hope you are enjoying a lovely week so far.
Toodles!

How've you bean...
Good morning!
It's been a while since I've played along in the Farm Fresh challenge over at The Greeting Farm and since I recently got my hands on Frappi Anya it was the perfect time to join the fun. This week's challenge is to use pastel colors so I flipped through my paper scraps until this pretty stripe caught my eye... talk about pastel perfection, LOL!
Now I myself am not a coffee drinker but I do love a good frappuccino from Starbucks. My favorite one? Why, it is vanilla bean with two pumps hazelnut and two pumps toffee nut. It tastes like drinking a cut out cookie... mmmmm yummy! So of course I had to give Anya her own vanilla bean frap complete with the little specks of vanilla floating throughout. And I figured that I could still get away with using that sentiment because it could easily be a play off the vanilla bean rather than a coffee bean. ;)
Well, I should get a move on. Have a good one everybody!
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It

You will be missed...
Olo!
We've had a totally fabulous UPS delivery lady for years and she is retiring this week so I thought it would be nice to make her a personalized card. While many will miss her smiling face as she dropped off our packages, I think the neighborhood pups may miss her most of all. She was always ready with a treat and not a single wagging tail was ever left out. Heck, I'm pretty sure she even new most of their names as well, LOL!
It also gave me a great excuse to ink up this little truck stamp set that I got recently. All I needed to go along with it was a "Delivery Anya". So I grabbed Picture Perfect Anya for her head and altered Twirl Anya's shirt just a bit until I had the perfect Anya for my card.
Alrighty, time for me to tackle another busy day.

Happy Birthday...
Hello, hello!
So have you seen this fun little guy over at CC Designs yet? He's called Pepper on Balloon and he's part of the April birthday release at CCD. Considering my current mission to make animal cards for my sis, plus Pepper being just as cute as all get out, you know I had to add him and a few of his friends to my stamp collection. :)
I also got my hands on this great Doodlebug birthday paper pad in the same order and that balloon print was a natural choice to help showcase this party pup. Doesn't Pepper look like he's getting a bit carried away with the festivities? LOL!
Ok then, sorry to have to keep this one short and sweet but I'm on the run this morning.
Thanks for stopping by!

Some bunny...
Hello again!
How about another Easter card today? I've been reminded that the big day is fast approaching, which means not only do I need to get any Easter stamps inked up that I've been meaning to but I've also got to hit the store and stock up on some Dove white chocolate eggs before they disappear for another year! I like to melt them, add shaved almonds, then freeze them into a delicious candy bark. I swear it tastes just like the old Alpine White bars that Nestle used to make... yum! :)
Anywho... as for my card, more new stamps arrived in the mail Thursday so I was able to play with these two bunnies from Sister Stamps. One is called Jade and the other is Moon and they are both completely adorable. There is a slight alteration to Moon, I wiped away his bell collar so that they would both look like a couple of wild Easter bunnies. I then paired them up with an Amy R sentiment that I've been waiting to use on just the right card and this one was it.
Alrighty then, off to work I go.
Have a great weekend!
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It
paper- The Girls' Paperie (floral), October Afternoon (stripe), Making Memories (green ledger)

Li'l Inkers stitched rectangle die
My Favorite Things doily die
Prima flowers
Kaiser Craft pearls
Copic markers:
bunnies- E40, E41, E42, R000, R01, R12, 0

Favorite Peeps...
TGIF everybody!
It looks to be an Easter kind of day here on the ol' blog. As I've been munching on some delish Jolly Rancher jellybeans lately I was inspired to use this jellybean printed paper from Doodlebug's spring collection. Then I just needed a cute little character stamp to pair up with it and could hold its own against that busy pattern. I settled on this sweet Pure Innocence that I've actually had since last year. She's called, One of my Favorite Peeps, and I can't believe it took me this long to ink her up. Her dress is paper pieced and I fussy cut those chicks out of the paper as well because they were just too adorable not to add to the fun. :)
All in all, a simple Easter card but hopefully it keeps my creativity flowing so I have more to share here. Ok, time to get myself ready for another day of work.

Take it easy peeps! ;)

Get well soon...
Hello, hello!
Apparently there is nothing like getting a new stamp to get the creative juices flowing, LOL! This month's addition to the TGF stamp club arrived in my mailbox and I couldn't wait to put her on a card. After getting three princesses in a row I was pleasantly surprised to see Hood here... it's good to know that the theme seems to be encompassing all the different fairy tales. Playing off the story's sick grandma, it seemed like a no-brainer to make this a get well type of card. ;)
I'm also entering Hood into this week's Farm Fresh challenge, which is flower power. With that bit of floral paper up in the corner and the cute button that I've been saving to use on just the right card, I think it qualifies. :)
Ok, time for me to run.
Later gators!
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It

Thinking of you...
Hi guys!
I've been pretty swamped lately so not a lot of card making going on. Still, I hate seeing the blog empty day after day so I thought I would throw up a non-coloring card that I made last month. It's all just a bunch of Pebbles Garden Party papers that I fussy cut into accents and what not. Pretty simple but still bright and fun.
Ok, gotta run again... laters!
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill
paper- Pebbles (Garden Party)

Thinking of you...
Good morning!
I've got a simple little card featuring the Chill Kaylee digital stamp from Some Odd Girl to share with y'all today. She's another one that I've had printed up for awhile, waiting to be colored... sheesh, it sure seems like I'm saying that a lot these days! It's just that when I find a great sale I tend to stock up even if the images aren't 'in season' at the time. :)
I paired Kaylee up with some Happy Go Lucky scraps that were hanging around and as always, colored her up to match. I think this color combo is so pretty, especially with that orangey yellow... love it! Some bling and a few little flowers and this card was done.
Ok, so I know that yesterday I was lamenting the wrap up of this season of Walking Dead but I just realized that one of my other favorite shows is about to start up... Game of Thrones! It's another one that I've read the books as well and I'm so excited to jump back into Westeros. Anyone else have a favorite show starting up soon? I'm always looking for new shows to add to my DVR. :)
Toodles!

Hello...
Hey there!
You can really tell that it is spring break for a lot of folks because town sure has been busier these past few days. Which means work has been busier as well, thus not a lot of crafty time over the weekend. But, I did manage to put this little card together last night using the new Blue Bird set from CC Designs. I really love this little guy because the sizing of this stamp makes him work great as both an accessory to a larger character stamp or on his own as the star of the show. The only thing I wish is that he would have come with a buddy pointing the opposite direction so that I could really play around with placement. Who knows, maybe Christine has a set in the works that will complement Mr. Blue Bird here and I'll be a very happy camper indeed. :)
I cut into the fourth new My Mind's Eye paper pad that was on my desk, which also ended up inspiring me to use a yellow ink for the sky background rather than the traditional blue. Sure, I didn't use a whole lot of paper on this card but it always feels good to cut into a new paper pad sooner rather than later. A sprinkle of enamel dots and this one was done and ready to go into the pile of animal cards I've been collecting for my sister.
Alrighty, before I sign off for the day... any other Walking Dead fans out there? What did you think about the finale on Sunday? I've been reading the comics as well so as soon as Terminus was introduced this season I had a sneaking suspicion that they would be the show version of the cannibal group and it doesn't look like I was wrong. I really can't wait to see what happens next and find out what has happened to Beth because I don't think it is the Terminus group that snatched her... too bad October seems like such a long time!
LOL... ok, enough of me nerding out. ;)

#you'refabulous...
Hello, hello!
It's been a while since I've colored up a Pee Wee digi so I figured I should remedy that situation with a quick card. This Bz Bz Bz girlie girl is another one that I've had printed and sitting on my desk for ages so it feels really good getting her onto a card. I paired her up with another one of the Now & Then paper pads because I loved how this bold design looks like it is pointing right at Bz Bz Bz from all directions. Which works because it sure looks like she's the center of her own little digitally connected world, LOL. I also played off of her online presence with the hash tag sentiment that I printed up. A few silver brads was all I needed for embellishment since I wanted to keep with a clean and streamlined look.
Alrighty then... #latergators!
Heehee... oh how I crack myself up... :)

Dog gone it...
Olo!
I've got another quick animal card that I made for my sister to share with y'all today. This time I went the canine route and used cutie patootie Kiki from Sister Stamps. I paired him up with an actual animal themed paper pad called Happy Tails, I figured that I'd get a lot of use out of it as I build a stash of these four legged friends cards. The primary colors tend to lead this one in a more masculine direction and as I'm looking at the kitty card I recently posted with it's soft pastel color scheme I just had to laugh. You see, when I was a little kid, for the longest time I thought that all cats were girls and all dogs were boys... don't ask me why, LOL! Anywho... it seems that I'm still following that thought process on these cards. I guess that just means that I'll have to challenge myself to make a conscious effort to reverse things the next go round, because I've got a boy cat that wouldn't appreciate all that girly frou frou... though he does have an affinity for ribbon. ;)
Okey dokey, have a great Friday my friends. Hope you have some crafty time scheduled for this weekend!
