Why walk when you can dance...

Good morning!

There's still plenty of time to participate in the Swing into Spring Youtube hop for a chance to win all eight of the new clear stamp sets. This is the card I made for my stop on the hop, using three of the cuties from the Fairwee Twirl set. In the video I focus on coloring these three different skin tones without relying on my go-to E000, E00 and E11 Copic markers. Once the coloring was complete I also added some pretty bling from the new Meadow Bird sequin mix for a little extra sparkle and shine. Today is also the last day to hop along over on Instagram for another chance to win the entire release, so good luck and have fun!  :)

Toodles!

Day 2 of the Swing into Spring release...

Hey, hey!

The Swing into Spring clear release celebration continues today at Sweet November Stamps. This whimsical release of eight new stamp sets and two new exclusive sequin mixes, has a little something for everyone. The shopping special for this release is spend $100 or more and you will get the 4x6 Take Flight set absolutely FREE (while supplies last). And of course there is also FREE SHIPPING on all domestic orders over $75 and $15 flat rate shipping for all international orders over $75. We've also brought back the exclusive limited time digital bundle deal that is running all week long, through Saturday April 19th. The digital stamp bundle includes the entire Swing into Spring release for $57.50. This is a limited time offer and once the week is over there is no guarantee that it will return.

My first card today uses the new Flutterbee Beatrice set. Beatrice can't take her eyes off the fuzzy bumblebees buzzing all around her. Hopefully they enjoy the pretty flowers that she has potted up for them. For the background I used the Copic airbrush with a honeycomb stencil and colored in the simple background behind Beatrice to gradually merge right into the honeycomb.

I've also got a card using the newest addition to the Bountiful Blessings range of stamps and this one is called Bountiful Blessings: Good Egg. The cute farm girl can either be busy collecting eggs or feeding all of her chickens, depending on what you choose to stamp into her bowl. The chicken coop creates the perfect backdrop for this sweet and rustic scene. :)

The Instagram hop is still going strong with all sorts of fabulous inspiration from the design team with a chance to win the entire release. Just search for the #sweetnovemberstamps account to get started. The winner will be announced on April 16th. And the Youtube hop starts this morning for another chance at winning the entire release! Swing into Spring with Sweet November!

Hello again!

I'm so excited because the new Swing Into Spring clear release has just hit the shelves at Sweet November Stamps! There are eight new stamp sets and two new sequin mixes now available in the store. Two of the 3x4 stamps are kicking off our newest year long series, Birthstone Dragons of the month, because cute dragons and precious gem treasures just seem to go hand in hand. The shopping special for this release is spend $100 or more and you will get the 4x6 Take Flight set absolutely FREE (while supplies last). And of course there is also FREE SHIPPING on all domestic orders over $75 and $15 flat rate shipping for all international orders over $75. We've also brought back the exclusive limited time digital bundle deal, and this time we are going to make it available for an entire week! So now thru April 19th, a digital stamp bundle that includes the entire Swing Into Spring release will be available for $57.50. This is a limited time offer and once the week is over there is no guarantee that it will return.

The latest SN Gal is taking advantage of the warmer weather, along with her favorite four-legged friend. SN Gal Deb and Digby are out on a brisk walk around the neighborhood thanks to the Halloween Neighborhood Background Builder set. The sentiment is from the Fairwee Summer Picnic Expansion set and pretty much sums up how these two are feeling.

Next, we have the 4x6 set called Take Flight which includes this chubby little caterpillar, a cocoon and the colorful butterfly that he transforms into. I actually colored this card during my Live last Saturday so if you are interested in watching the replay you can still find it over on the Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page.

Of course we also have a new Fairwee set called, Fairwee Twirl. These six Fairwees are celebrating the arrival of spring with a carefree dance that has them twirling and spinning from branch to blossoming branch, which are also included in the set along with three sentiments.

Finally, we have the first sweet dragon in the new monthly Birthstone Dragons series. The April Diamond Dragon is quite proud of her shiny treasure. The background was created using another new set, the Cave Dwelling Background Builder, which comes with three different vistas to choose from. The sentiment here is a combination of the sentiment that comes with the dragon and the Birthdays are the Best set.

Now be sure to check out the Swing Into Spring Instahop over on Instagram for a chance to win the entire release. Just search for the #sweetnovemberstamps account to get started. The big winner will be announced on Wednesday, April 16th.You can also check out all of the cards over at the Friends of Sweet November Stamps group on Facebook for even more inspiration from the amazing Sweet November Design Team members. Hippity Hoppity...

Hello friends!

I've got a Scenic Saturday post over on the Blogabella with one final Easter card. I've saved the absolutely charming Bundle Girl Loves Bunny Wobbles for this last card, as they are one of my favorite stamps from the Spring release. The image is overflowing with love and affection as it captured this sweet moment.

Bundle Girl Loves Bunny Wobbles is a pretty large stamp, taking up a lot of space on a standard A2 sized card. This led me to go with a horizontal format and stamp them off to the left so that I would still have plenty of space for a sentiment. For my color palette on these two friends I went with soft rosy pinks and light lemon yellows that capture the first blush of spring. A simple floral print was added to her outfit for some extra interest. Next, I proceeded to extend the pale yellows into the forest landscape that I hand colored in by using the palest yellow Copic markers for the sky. It's a simple twist from the traditional blues that are usually used but it goes a long way towards adding to the overall warmth of the scene. Very light greens and browns add a hazy hint of the trees growing in the distance and I slowly transition to bolder, more saturated greens and browns as I add the trees and bushes that are growing closer to us, the viewer, in the foreground. The open sky between the trees became the perfect place for me to add a sentiment and I actually combined two from the Easter Sentiment set, for my message. For a cute finishing touch I also chose to add some white flower embellishments to either side of the bottom of the scene because I think they provide a nice balance and create a visual triangle with the big white bunny in the center of the card. :)

Stay crafty my friends!

Happy Easter...

Hi there!

I really wanted to make another Easter themed card using some sweet critters from Purple Onion Designs and this time I thought Wooley, the lamb would be super cute. Not wanting her to be alone, I stamped the chicks, Flo, Mo and Bo all around. Just behind them I added those great Easter Eggs, giving them plenty of reason to be excited. To create the background I first stamped the Rustic Fence then the Countryside Horizon just above it. With them all being little farm animals I love how this hints at their Easter egg hunt taking place out in a pasture. The color palette is bright and sunny, adding to the over-all happiness of these cuties. A simple Happy Easter sentiment, stamped in green, wraps up the design.  :)

Later gators!
