Well, we knew it had to come eventually, the last day of CA&Friends April sneak peeks... sadness!

Now I chose Oliver and his special four-legged friend to show you today because I'm a dog person through and through... just ask my completely spoilt Yorkie pup, LOL! Are we surprised she's a stamper?

Hello my fellow Anya fans!
Are you ready for another CA&Friends sneak peek? I thought you might be! ;)

If you studied the CHA photos that Jess shared a few months back you may have seen this cute Anya proudly representing TGF both on the table display and on the gals' cool badges. Is it any surprise that our friend Anya is an avid stamper herself? Yea, I didn't think so. ;)
Now she's finally here, joining all the rest of her friends on the Farm and ready to get her fingers nice and inky, LOL!

And can I just say... I'm pretty excited by all of the altering possibilities that come with her. Like wiping away the word 'stamps' and replacing it with whatever thing she happens to ♥ that day or even swapping out her body completely to use that cute short hair do with a dress... ahhhh, the possibilities seem endless! :)

But today she is perfect just as she is at expressing my passion for this great hobby of ours. That's why my sentiment strips are hours, days and months... because Anya's world revolves around stamping 24/7, 365 days a year and who wouldn't love that?

A sweet sneak peek

Happy Monday to you my friends!

As I mentioned yesterday, this week is going to be jam packed with all sorts of sneak peeks so let's dive right in shall we! :)

Today I'm sharing with you a little lady who is arguably the sweetest Sprout to ever grace the Farm with her presence. Her name is Dee Dee and can I just say OMGosh?! She is an absolute doll if you ask me and just like her pal Eric, I can't get over her fab hair! Marie has truly outdone herself with these cuties, they are just so much fun to color. :)
For some reason Dee Dee's boots made me think that she was heading outside to help her gramma in the garden and once that idea popped into my head I knew I had the PERFECT papers to go along with that theme... so out came the strawberries! Sweets for the sweetie... ya gotta love it. Though I think she probably ate more berries than she harvested... ;)

Good morning!

Today I've got a little break in between sneak peeks so I thought I would make a card for a challenge. This is the first time I've played along with the Stampin for the Weekend challenge but when I saw that they were wanting Easter cards I knew I had just the stamps for the job. ;)
So I pulled out Baby Bunny with chick, stamped her on the paper, cut out an oval and laid it over her so that she would be masked off when I started stamping the Stampendous Easter border over top. When I was done stamping I removed the oval paper and started coloring the whole panel... no cutting out the image for me this time! It felt kinda weird not to pull out my handy dandy Honeybee scissors. ;)
All in all it's a pretty simple card but I used up more scraps from the scrap bag so it's all good. :)

So Monday through Wednesday I'll have more CA&Friends sneak peeks to share then I'll be switching gears on Thursday when I have April's Sweet November guest gal to introduce with sneak peeks and candy following that... this promises to be a very busy week! CA&Friends April sneak peek!

Waz up my peeps?!

Are you ready for some super cool new sneak peeks from Club Anya and Friends? Wait? What's that you say? You're a little cornfuzzled about why I've got April sneaks to share? Well... last month Jessica asked the team to extend our term for another six months and we were all very excited to stay on the farm for a bit longer. :)
Not only that but the amazing Traci has re-joined CA&Friends as well! Welcome back Traci! And the fun doesn't stop there... each month CA&Friends is going to have a new guest dt to join in all the fun. This month Caz is the first up and I know she is gonna rock the farm! :)

So... ya wanna see the first of the new kids sprouting up on the farm on April 1st? Well then, meet Eric! This rockin' little cutie had me at hello... I think it was his fab hair, LOL! There's no denying that this boy has some serious style, all he needs now is his guitar and he'll have all the girlies swooning. ;)
And I'll let you in on a little secret... when I went to color him up I drew my inspiration from the vampire Eric on "True Blood"... swoon... LOL! I know, I know... totally silly but it made me happy. :)

A slight change of pace

Happy Friday everyone!

Boy am I ready for a day off... thank goodness it is finally here! :)

I've been so busy that I didn't even have time to make a card to share today... shocking I know! Luckily I have these from a card class I taught this week but there isn't a stamp in sight on any of these cards! Even bigger shocker, LOL! ;)

I was actually featuring the Making Memories Slice personal die-cut machine so that's where all the sentiments and shapes came from. I guess this proves that I do occasionally leave the stamps and Copics on the shelf, heeheehee. And even though I'm by no means giving up on stamping, this was a nice reminder to maybe incorporate some of these other tools that I have and love into my regular cards a bit more.

This week's ATS challenge is a sketch by Janneke that is full of layers of paper so you know I was all over it! Though I did have one less layer just because I tend to cut out my images and that created a bigger space for my sentiment. I also filled some of that space with some swirls under the butterfly and I used a Sakura Stardust pen for it, unfortunately I couldn't pick up all the cool sparkle in the photo and it just kinda looks flat and grey here. Sigh... oh well. Other than that I did stay pretty true to the sketch design.

Happy hump day... yeah for getting halfway through this week!

I don't know why I'm so excited, it's not like I have this weekend off or anything but for some reason I just want to get through this one and on with different things. Maybe some of it has to do with the new stamp releases coming up and more sneak peek candies to give away... it feels like it's been forever! So yea, fun things to look forward to here soon... I promise! ;)

Today I've got a card for Lysa's farewell Wild Card Wednesday challenge over at the CA&Friends blog and it's a cool one! Lysa picked out a beautiful picture of some throw pillows to be inspired by and I totally ran with the color scheme of them. That and all the fab stitching they featured. :)
I also tried out a new to me skin color combo as I wanted Gigi to look like she had a sun tan. I don't know if I was 100% successful... she might look more sun burned than sun tanned but I still went with it, LOL!

One card, two challenges

Things are good here... looks to be a beautiful day. :)

I've got a card that I made for a couple challenges today... first up is the Kraftin' Kimmie challenge to use eyelets. This was tougher than you would think for me. Sure I've got a small stash of eyelets from back in the day but I hardly ever use them. So it was a bit of a head scratcher to see how I could make them fit into my design. I think they work well enough but if I'm 100% honest I think it's a safe bet to say they won't be showing up on any other cards for awhile. ;)
I also altered this Moonlight Whispers Posy stamp just a bit by wiping away her winking eye and drawing in a new open eye. Totally easy peasy and I like how it gave her a whole new look. :)

I also used this week's gorgeous Cupcake Inspiration challenge as the inspiration for the black/white/aqua/green color combo (I couldn't resist adding some violet in there too) and for all the butterflies flitting about as well. I think these two challenges came together quite nicely on the card!

Happy accidents

Howdy all!
Hope this brand new week finds you well. :)

When I started this card it was with the intention of creating another quick and easy one. And while it was a pretty easy design in the end, the quick factor kinda went out the window when I got the "brilliant" idea to use a bunch of floral rub-ons on the front of the card. That combined with the coloring of little Kenya Ketto and I ended up spending quite a bit of time on this one.

The front of the card is actually diagonally cut to reveal the inside of the card which has the sentiment stamped on it. In the end it turned out kinda cool looking and I could play it off like that was my plan all along but to tell the truth... originally I had done some stamping on the front that did not look good at all. Seriously, it was a hot mess! But I didn't want to let all the rub-on work go to waste so I just sliced off the offending part and covered up what was left with my new scallop framed Ketto cutie. Whew... disaster averted! ;)

All in all I guess I have to agree with Bob Ross... there are no mistakes, just happy accidents. :)

Cow's it going?

Sweet Sunday morning my friends!

I feel like that end of the month crunch is upon me once again so please forgive the short post today, but work beckons.

So I've had the TGF McSplendid Farm set for quite a while but I haven't inked them up in ages. I decided to remedy that oversight and make this simple yet fun card using the cutie cow. This also gave me the perfect excuse to pull out the old Martha fence punch and put it to use as well. ;)
At that point I thought the scene looked pretty good but it was missing something... the cow needed some friends but who should join him? I didn't really have time to color up another stamped image and all my stickers looked wrong... what was I gonna do? Then I had my Ah-Ha moment and looked to my trusty Kaiser Craft pearls to save the day. I used three of the tiniest ones and then drew in little wings and heads to turn them into flies! I'm not ashamed to admit I'm pretty proud of those crazy little flies, LOL! :)

I could use a good chocolate fix

I'm keeping this one short and sweet as I've got some fun things planned today and I gotta get rolling. :)

This card was a new speed record for me too... not only is it without any pattern papers but it's also the first card I've made in almost a year that has NO Copics on it! I know... I know... I almost can't believe it either but it's true. ;)
Instead I pulled out my sad, neglected chalk set to give these 'chocolate' bunnies their cocoa blush. It was a bit refreshing to change things up but I did miss playing with my markers so I doubt I make a habit out of this. LOL

Hello springtime

It's finally Friday... I'm free again... get my motor runnin' for a wild weekend!

LOL ok, so I know those lyrics are from some song but I can't put my finger on which one right now. And not that my plans really consist of anything wild and crazy but I do have today and tomorrow off so YEAH for the weekend! ;)

My good pal Rach, who is a newly converted Gleek... YEAH!, sent me this link and this link and this link to some fun Glee spoilers and news that I just had to share with the rest of my Gleek pals as we count down the days 'til April 13th. Can you tell I'm really, really excited for Glee to come back on? What can I say, Idol has turned out to be a complete snoozefest so I need my Glee fix desperately! ;)

Ok, onto today's card... it's another quickie that I did using the same pre-made kraft cardbase as yesterday and once again there is no pattern paper in sight! Instead I used a page from a little journaling notebook and then stamped the flowers over it. It's different from what I've been doing lately which I think is why I enjoyed making it so much... ya know, the whole 'step outside your comfort zone' thing and all. I don't know... I've just felt like I need to shake things up within my 'style' a bit. So here I am 'expanding my stamping horizons' LOL
The Miss Anya is altered using one of the Miss Anya Love's heads with one of the original Miss Anya's bodies. So even though I'm changing some things up a bit, I know I'll never stop loving and playing with my precious character stamps. :)

Ok, it's time for me to go hit the town and get my hair cut... woot, woot!

Sooo cute

Hiya, how ya doin'?

Can you believe it's Thursday already? I'm looking forward to my day off tomorrow... I'll be going to town to get my hair cut and I SO cannot wait. I tend to go through these cycles of kinda growing it out (especially my bangs) and just when they get long enough to tuck behind my ears I can't stand it anymore so it's time to go short again. ;)

I've got a super quick card to share today and once again not a scrap of pattern paper is in sight... craziness! Though I did use a fun My Mind's Eye sentiment diecut as the inspiration for this entire card... I just thought the colors in it would look great on a simple kraft card base. Once I had that all figured out I ended up altering the little TGF Wild Thing Bear by cutting off her bear ears and drawing a new, seated body for her so that she would fit on the sentiment.
Like I said... quick, fun and it puts a smile on my face. :)

ATS challenge time!

Hiya! How's it goin'?

Are you ready for a brand new challenge at All That Scraps this week? This time it's all about creating an easel card. If you haven't made one yet I promise that they are not hard at all. I was scared of them for a bit but once I made my first one I quickly realized there was nothin' to it. And they are so perfect for when you've spent a good amount of time creating a special scene and really want to show it off. :)

For my card I used the CC Designs Gingersnaps Bugg-a-boos set and I altered them slightly by wiping away their original eyes and drawing in new eyes, eyebrows and even some freckles. Oh and I also used the stump stamp from CC Designs to help create the scene too. I pulled all of the colors I used from the fab, new Green at Heart BG papers... LOVE them and love how bright and cheery the little bugg-a-boos turned out.

A very Spesch-al princess

Mornin' folks!
I hope the sun is shining on you wherever you may be. :)

So have you seen the new Spesch digi stamps yet? My stampin' friend, Tracey, has started her own etsy shop and there is some really CUTE stuff there... I highly recommend you check it out! I got this beautiful White Queen image there and I just love her, she was so much fun to color! I think of her more as a princess than a queen and I gave her brown hair so she would look like my favorite princess... Princess Amy from one of my all time fave books from my childhood, "The Ordinary Princess". Have you read it? I simply adore it and still have my original copy that I'll likely keep my entire life, I love it so. :)
Anywho... like I said, this princess really spoke to me and even though she's not rubber (maybe someday though... fingers crossed!) I had to have her. And Spesch is just getting started so I'm anxious to see what the future holds!

Monday mania

Well hello Monday, nice to see ya again. :)

Today's a quick one but a fun one... Mag is hosting this week's Monday Mania over at CA&Friends and her challenge is to alter a stamp and take inspiration from a photo. I just had to play along because both of those really appeal to me. :)
When I was thinking about who to alter this time round the new Wild Sprout Audrey digi came to mind and I thought it would be fun to take her out of her tomboy clothes and get her all dolled up in a more girly girl look. So I removed her hat and clothes in photoshop, printed her out and then drew in the top of her head. Next I grabbed WS Stella and inked her up, though I did wipe away her letter and the heart at her neckline before stamping. Then I colored everything, cut off Stella's head (sorry Stella!) and replaced it with Audrey's head. I think this little tomboy cleans up real good... just look at her working that sparkly dress! ;)

Now it's your turn to get creative and do a bit of altering and I really can't wait to see what stamp combinations everyone comes up with! :)

On a sweeter note...

Good morning!
So did you spring forward this morning? I have a love/hate relationship with daylight savings time... on the one hand I love that it stays lighter longer into the evening, on the other hand this morning is always a killer because it feels like I've lost time and that always seems to take me a day or two to get adjusted to.

So with that I'll get right to my card since I've got work to get ready for too. I figured I needed to balance all the creepy from this past week with a little sweet so out came one of my new Pure Innocence stamps that I got at All That Scraps. This is Fairy Girl and I think she's adorable. :)
I'm entering her into the 100th Flutter By challenge that is open this week and can you believe I didn't use any paper on this card? Instead I had a sheet of My Mind's Eye border stickers that I cut up and pieced together for the background. I gotta say, it felt good to use up a whole sheet of something and throw away the packaging. ;)

Beyond freaky...

Well hello there and happy Saturday morning to you!

I've got one more altered Creepy Cake today. Remember when I mentioned opening up Flutter's eyes? As soon as I saw the new Creepy that Marie shared on the TGF blog this week I knew I had my inspiration for the eyes. I also flipped the image digitally before printing so that the bow would be on the opposite side of her head. Now we've got Freaky Flutter's evil-er (can that even be a word?) twin... Frightening Flutter. ;)
There's something very serpentine about how this little gal turned out, which probably explains why I went with greens for the color palette. Oooh so dark and twisty with just that hint of cuteness... I love it!

If you haven't guessed, I'm pretty excited that Marie has decided to make some Creepies with bodies and I can't wait to see what she has in store for us. :)

She's got attitude

Good morning!

It's Friday and that means I've got the day off... yeah! There is some stuff I need to do but nothing too terribly pressing so it's all good in the 'hood. ;)

I've just been itching to play with this new Wild Sprouts Audrey ever since Marie was sweet enough to offer her as a birthday freebie and I gotta say, she was a ton of fun to color up! I mean seriously, who doesn't love a cute little tomboy with a spunky attitude? And that raspberry blowing tongue...? Priceless!
What do you think of all her furry friends? LOL I feel like such a cheat with those... I've had this sheet of Littlest Petshop stickers from Target forever and they just seemed like the perfect menagerie of critters that Audrey would keep in tow. Talk about quick and easy!
Really everything about this card came together super quick... all the pieces just seemed to fall into place on the first try.Love it when that happens! And I love this card too! ;)

Heeheehee ok so I'm getting a bit carried away with the St. Patrick's day challenge going on over at ATS this week... though my Irish brogue could definitely use some work. ;)
Good thing a cool accent isn't a requirement, this week it's as simple as using the color green on your card. You say you don't have any St. Patrick's Day stamps? That's not a problem either... like I said we just want to see you go green... easy peasy!

For my card, Tangle let me know that she felt like dancing in a clover field and I thought that sounded pretty good too. So I stamped a border of shamrocks and then cut petals off those green Prima hydrangea flowers to make them look more like clover too. Add to that a bit of subtle clover paper and Tangle was more than ready to hunt down that lucky four leaf one. ;)

This week the challenge prize is a $15 gift certificate to the All That Scraps store! That's a pretty cool incentive to play along if you ask me... especially considering all the great product Christine carries besides the awesome stamp selection. If you haven't taken the time to check it out I highly recommend you take a look. :)

Hey there! How's it goin'?

All is good here this morning. :)

By now I'm sure it's no secret that I enjoy altering and playing with my stamped images. So I was tickled pink when Elaine of Quixotic Paperie invited me to be a guest designer for this week's Quixotic challenge which is all about altering your TGF stamps. Umm, yea... I think I can do that. ;)

The problem comes in figuring out which stamps to combine into a new character, there are just so many possibilities! How to choose, how to choose? I decided to start with my papers and hopefully have those guide me. So once again I felt the pull of that WeR card kit I've been frankensteining and when I saw the dandelion puffs and matching sentiment the light bulb went off... fairy time, LOL! So I grabbed Easter Anya because I love her curly pigtails, wiped away her closed eyes with a baby wipe (links to my altering tutorials can be found in my sidebar) and replaced them with Lolli Anya's smiley eyes. Then I chopped off her head and added it to Flutter Anya's body. Isn't she just so giggly and cute?

Now I've got to share a little story that this cards brings to mind... I'll probably sound like a total goof but I'm putting it out there. :)
So back when I was in college and making the the three hour drive home one long weekend and the wind was blowing over the palouse sending huge tumbleweeds rolling across the freeway, my mind began to wander and I began to imagine little fairies hitching rides in the branches of those tumbleweeds. I could see them spinning head over heels shouting 'weeeeeeeeeee' just like it was an amusement park ride. It really made me hope that none of them hit the car, LOL!
And I totally made the mistake of telling my family about this little flight of fancy and now I never hear the end of it whenever we spot a tumbleweed blowing by, oy!
