Howdy folks!
This past week Simon Says finally shared their Greeting Farm #CoupleGoals feature on their blog so I can now share the card I made for that post. These two lovebirds were actually the first from the set to catch my eye and spark an idea upon getting the stamp set. Probably because I have been waiting 9 years, ever since the Design a Sprout contest, for a TGF stamp showing a couple hand in hand like this. Immediately I envisioned these two laughing and running down a park path on
their way to some wonderful adventure together. So I stamped them up and
used my Copic markers to color the scene in around them. Once that was done, I trimmed the image down a bit to fit on
the front of an A2 sized card and found a scrap of pretty yellow paper
that coordinated nicely and helps to anchor the image. Because there is
a lot going on up above I wanted to keep the lower half of the card
clean and simple with only the addition of a subtle sentiment and a
sprinkling of little yellow flowers. The resulting card tells the story I wanted it to while still looking fresh and fun! :)
