Happy Day...

TGIF everybody!

So my desk always tends to be a bit of a crafty mess. Stamp sets that I've just added to my collection or ones that I've pulled for previous projects don't always get put back right away. That's not always a bad thing though, as I tend to find treasures there when I sit down to craft. Which was exactly the case yesterday when I spotted the Happy Day set from Colorado Craft Company still sitting on my desk after I had borrowed the buzzing bees for a previous card. This sweet bear was just begging to get inked up and I decided to try something different and do some Copic coloring on light kraft card stock rather than my usual Copic or Catherine Pooler choices. It was a fun challenge and a great way for me to shake things up a bit. It took a bit to get used to and I kept the background pretty simple since I didn't want to lose all of the kraft back there. The white accents were added in using a white Prisma color pencil and it definitely adds a nice pop to the scene. All in all I can totally see myself doing some more coloring on kraft in the near future. :)

 Later gators!
