Mermaid fun...

 

 

Hi friends!

It's day two of the Greeting Farm's April release and we are introducing the Mermaid Fun set which adds four new tiny mermaids and some super cute larger sea critters like whales and a shark. I created two cards for today, the first one pairing two of the whales with one of the sweet mermaids. I masked them into a tight group and completed the 'circle' with one of the small sentiments included in the set. Then I challenged myself to color a decorative circle like wave swirling around them all. I got a bit cheeky with my second card where I paired the swimming mermaid with the shark adding plenty of speed and movement to the scene through my brush strokes in the water and the white paint bubbles frothing behind their tails. I love how it looks like the chase is on as they race across the card. Mermaid Fun will be available for purchase on the 15th along with the other new stamps.
