Life is full of ups and downs...

Hello!

I have a new Scenic Saturday card I'm sharing on the Bellariffic blog. As we continue to make our way through the summer months, I couldn't help but start looking ahead to a new school year beginning soon. And since the best part of elementary school was always recess, that had me reaching for the cute Mini Oddballs on a Seesaw and Park Backdrop stamps.

I started by stamping the Mini Oddballs on a Seesaw then cutting out a mask for them so I could stamp the Park Backdrop right over top of them. Once the mask is removed you are left with the scenery receding into the background. The two came together so perfectly that you would think they were a single image. As I started to color them up I decided early to make all of the playground equipment a sunny shade of yellow to help play up the idea of sunshiny days and happy times. Bright, saturated greens in the grass and trees also play up the end of summer look that I was going for with these two friends. The sentiment is included in the Mini Oddballs on a Seesaw set and I stamped it on an extra strip of card stock so that I could pop it up above the completed scene. While I'm personally too old for a trip to the playground, I hope this card inspires us all to create playful moments to enjoy every day.  :)
