Something about Wild Sprout Odette has always said "seamstress" to me so she quickly became my contestant vying for top designer. Then I thought it would be fun to create a model out of the Creeper Crew... I'm not sure exactly why, could be those big expressive eyes and crazy hair. :)
I ended up doing the most altering on the model by combining Halloween Bride's face and crown of hair to Creeper Sasha's full head of curly hair and a VERY altered Piper body. I paper pieced the dress out of some funky Basic Grey paper because Odette is trying to think outside the box and present a fabulous rainbow colored zebra print evening gown to the judges... that is one fabric I think she would have been better off leaving on the shelves of Mood... oy!
At first this was all I was going to do but when Tim Gunn came on the screen I had the epiphany that would pull the whole card together... I needed a 'Tim' saying, "Make it work." LOL
So I was back on the hunt for the perfect 'Tim' character. As soon as I saw Wild Sprout Dressy Daniel I was sold... with just a bit of tweaking to his hair line and the addition of some glasses and his signature crossed arms I was that much closer to a finished card.
Can't you just imagine him, eyebrow raised, as he points out Odette's messy work station... look at all those fabric scraps strewn about! He probably also has something to say about her over-use of the PiperLime accessory wall (that I tried to hint at with the background papers) considering all of the bling on her model. Hopefully Odette can pull the look together and avoid hearing Heidi tell her, "You're out!" ;)
Ok, ok... my apologies if you aren't a PR fan, I've probably bored you to tears by now. But this card was a blast for me to concept and put together so forgive me if I got a little carried away with my PR enthusiasm.
And now I'm 'out' as it is time for me to get ready for work... ciao!
