Hi guys!
Guess what? Lucky me, I got a day off a bit early. So I'm totally chillin' today and not making any plans what-so-ever. Ahhhh yea! :)
And yes, I'm using the Pebbles Lakeside papers again on my card today but I promise to take a break from it for a bit after this one. I wanted to use up more of that colorful floral print because it makes me happy just looking at it. This time I went with a Pergamano fairy from the Summer Fairies set. The stamp has her sitting on a mushroom but I fussy cut it away so that she could rest right on that sentiment block. Of course she had to be just as bright as that garden behind her so I used a lot of the same Copics that I did on yesterday's card. Naturally all the recycling of goodies made this come together super quick.
Alrighty friends, I'm outta here.
Have a great day!

Heartfelt wishes...
Hello, hello!
So far the long weekend is proving to be very busy but full of a lot of good times too. The weather isn't completely cooperating but as long as the torrential downpours keep clear, it's all good. :)
I made the card I'm sharing today to play along with this week's Flutter By Challenge which is a sketch. I'm continuing on my lazy streak of just grabbing random pre-stamped images off my desk and making them work. This time it is a Pergamano fairy, whom I'm pretty sure has made it onto a card before, but I still had just as much fun coloring her up this time around. The papers are all from the Basic Grey Mint Julep 6x6 paper pad which, when combined with the great sketch inspiration, made this card come together in just over an hour. Not too shabby if you ask me. ;)
Alrighty friends, time for me to rock and roll. Hope you are having a fabulous holiday too!

I hope you know...
Hey there!
It's promising to be a beautiful Saturday here in my neck of the woods. I'll be working most of the day but afterwards I plan on taking advantage of the sunshine and go find something fun to do. I'm not sure what kind of trouble I'll find to get into but I need to blow off a little steam. :)
So I've made a card to play along with this week's Flutter By challenge. It's a sketch and it was just what I needed to pull this one together. I had already grabbed this pre-stamped Pergamano Fairy off my desk and cut the circle around her, so I figured it was totally meant to be when I saw that the sketch had a circle front and center, LOL!
I can't recall whether I've stamped this cute fairy up before but I totally adore her. There is something about the look on her face that reminds me of the little girl who plays Arya in the Game of Thrones series... I think it must be those sad eyes.
Speaking of GOT, I'm just now getting around to watching the second season on DVD and while they are doing a decent job of sticking fairly close to the books I can't believe they cut out Jojen and Meera Reed! Where are they?! Man, I wish I got HBO since I know that season three has begun but I'll have to wait a year for it to hit DVD. In the meantime I need to restart reading A Dance with Dragons, I had made it only about a fourth of the way through before everything happened with my mom last year and it just kind of got laid aside. Which isn't all bad considering there is still quite the wait before book six is even set for release. So I want to refresh my memory with what all was going on instead of trying to start where I left off. I suppose if I don't find anything exciting to do tonight I may just make a date with my book. ;)
Wow, that was quite the GOT fan girl tangent to go off on but I make no apologies, LOL!
Toodles!

Dark but cute...
TGIF!
This will be a short and sweet post... today is my last working day of 2011 and so far I'm running a bit behind. Perhaps I should make a resolution about better time management in 2012, LOL! ;)
Something about this card turned out kinda dark but I'm still diggin' it. I used one of the Pergamano flower girls and just trimmed her out from her surrounding flowers so that she could sit on the ribbon. She looks a little lonely so I'm thinking this could work as a sympathy or "cheer up" kind of card. I was even feeling all crafty like by making some coordinating rolled roses out of the reverse side of the black text paper.
Alrighty, well I suppose I should go do the hair and make-up thing. Have a great weekend everybody!
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill, We R Memory keepers stitched and Copic X-Press It
paper- Creative Imaginations (text), October Afternoon (stripe), My Mind's Eye (polka dot)
stamps- Pergamano (Flower Girls set), Papertrey Ink (sentiment)
ink- Memento tuxedo black and Colorbox dark brown
My Favorite Things rolled rose dies
Martha Stewart leaf punch and 3-in-1 butterfly punch
Kaiser Craft gems
ribbon
Sakura stardust glitter pen

skin- E000, E00, E11, R00, R20
hair- N4, N6, N8, N10

Make me smile
Monday, Monday... whether you love it or dread it I hope this new week is off to a great start for ya. At least it's a bit of a holiday here in the States so no work for me! The only down side of that is no mail runs today either... always a bummer. I'll try not to let it spoil my day though. ;)
Well are you surprised to see more of the delish Stella and Rose papers today? Probably not, LOL! I wasn't kidding about how much I love them! This time I combined sheets from three of the four collections and the rainbow of sunny, happy colors makes this card eligible for this week's Flutter By challenge... to use a rainbow of colors. I managed to get a little red, orange, yellow, green and aqua on this so I think it works. That and the sweet Pergamano fairy that I colored up to match, 'cause you've got to have a butterfly, fairy or angel too.
It's been a while since I've played along but I always enjoy Danni's challenges so much. And since a week hardly goes by without some kind of fairy making it onto one of my cards I really don't have much of an excuse not to! :)
Ok, I'm gonna take off now and see what kind of trouble I can get into in my crafty room today... chat at'cha later!

Joy & wonder
Hey there!
We're supposed to be getting an arctic blast through here this weekend, bringing with it our first snow of the season. I'm not exactly thrilled about the idea of driving in the snow once again but ya do what ya gotta do. Hopefully this 'La Nina' year isn't as bad as they are predicting... ;)
Speaking of winter wonderlands, I think my card today brings to mind a snowy day. The Dear Lizzy paper inspired the whole thing with it's cool berry branch looking design which brought to mind the magic of freshly fallen snow out in nature. From magic my mind leapt to fairies and I remembered this little Pergamano cutie. She is actually part of the Summer Fairies set but her striped tights, fur lined clothes and jingle bells on her shoes look way more Christmas/wintry than summery if you ask me. Throw in that little squirrel with his present and I think they make for a fun holiday card.
Ok, I'm outta here. Hope your weekend is a wonderful one... rain, snow or shine. :)

Dragonflies and fairies
Hiya friends!
It's back to work for me but I'm feeling refreshed and ready to take on a new week so it's all good. :)
I watched How to Train Your Dragon for the first time yesterday and I'm not ashamed to say that it made it into my top five fave animated features... LOVED it! Great story and awesome visuals made for a fantastic show and it totally has me obsessing a bit about dragons now... I wonder if Sweet November Land needs some resident dragons? Hmmmmm... LOL!
Until that time I guess dragonflies will just have to be a substitute, like on my card today. ;)
I made this with the Flutter By challenge in mind. The theme this week is fall and I had these paper scraps that needed using up which I think are perfectly fall looking. I paired them up with a Pergamano Summer Fairy since I thought the mushroom was very fallish and she could be too just by coloring her in the right colors. Once again I punched the dragonflies out of both vellum and pattern paper, snipped the wings off of the pattern paper ones leaving only their bodies to then glue onto the vellum. I like how this double punching makes the dragonflies look more realistic with the see-through wings and it is so easy to do.
I guess I should go look for a dragon to train... it would be cool to get to fly into work. Talk about a time saving commute! LOL :)

Thinking of you
Happy Saturday morning to ya!
This is my last one off for quite a while so I plan on enjoying it even if the weather is kinda rainy and gloomy. Heck, isn't that just a perfect excuse to say inside and craft? ;)
So I recently got this new Mix&Mend mini paper pad from Sassafras and OMGosh is it delish! First off, I just love the color combo (anything with a bit of orange is A-Okay in my book, LOL). And second, all of the embellishing is practically done for you already in the print... how cool is that?Seriously, doesn't it look like I took a long time aging and layering all of those bits and pieces? Nope, lazy me just used a single sheet of paper for the background! Not only that but I thought the design created the perfect little sitting spot for this Pergamano fairy stamp and her mouse friend.
I did add a few of my own touches like the sentiment, rub-on stitches, the pearls and that gorgeous crinkled ribbon that my sweet bloggin' buddy Kiara made. She actually sent me a virtual rainbow of her lovely ribbons and as soon as I pulled it out of the package I knew I had to add some to this card, it just had that vintage vibe that matched the paper to a 'T'... BIG thanks Kiara, I love it all! :)
Alright, I think that's it from me for the day... enjoy your weekend everybody!

The song in my heart
Hi all!
My card isn't exactly a simple Sunday card but once I got home from work I really needed to unwind and I had time to just relax and color so I did. I recently came across these Pergamano Fairies whilst blog surfing and are you surprised to hear that I couldn't resist getting my hands on a few? They finally arrived this past week and I loved coloring this little cutie up. And to make it even better I had some new Cosmo Cricket Pixielicious papers to pair up and pull my colors from... yum! Of course there is a lot of sparkle also added to the scene but for the life of me I just can't get it to show up in my pics, you'll just have to take my word for it that she sparkles quite a bit in person. :)
I'm also entering this into the Flutter By challenge which is open this week... how perfect is that?!
Ok, thanks so much for stopping by today... and be sure to come back Monday when I'll be gearing up to kick off a full week of sneak peeks and candy goodness!
