Brrrrring on the Merry Christmas...

TGIF!

I went back to the Penguins on Ice set from Hello Bluebird for a second time and focused on the penguins that didn't get inked up the first go round. These ones just so happened to be the more Christmasy of the six, holding the gift and the stocking. I needed a third to round out the design so I also grabbed the older Merry Greeters set and added the candy cane from that set to the flipper of the third penguin. Each little penguin has his own ice flow to float around on and they certainly inspired the glaciers that I colored into the background. What a cheery bunch of Santa's helpers bringing a bit of Christmas to the South Pole, LOL!  :)

Have a good one my friends!

The joys of winter...

Hey there!

For my card today I've returned to the adorable Snow Angels set from Sweet November Stamps because I still had two of the cuties that hadn't been inked up yet. This time around I paired the angel with the bag of seeds and all of the little birds in the set. I also grabbed the Horizon Lines: Winter Wonderland set to add some snow covered pine branches up front and the stand of trees way off in the distance. To change things up from my last Snow Angel card I went with a pretty pastel sunrise sky and pulled those light colors through the rest of the scene as well. You can tell those birds look forward to their morning breakfast everyday and that sweet little angel looks forward to taking care of her feathered friends as well.  :)

Toodles!

Merry Christmas...

Hello there!

I've had this little scene stamped up since the Anita Jeram Christmas take II release at Colorado Craft Company and I finally got around to coloring it. The little kitten writing the letter to Santa is the smaller image included in the Dear Santa set and I paired him with another kitty from the older Keep Growing set to fill out the scene a bit more and to hint at the reason for the funny sentiment. Because anyone with siblings knows that brothers and sisters can make staying on the nice list nearly impossible some times... LOL! And the mini slimline die was just the right size for capturing these two before any shenanigans took place.

Alrighty, time for me to go get busy. Talk at'cha later!

Sweet Holiday Wishes...

Good morning!

Do you ever find yourself laying in bed at night, trying to fall asleep but card ideas keep running through your brain? Well, that's what happened to me the other night. I couldn't stop thinking about different pairings between the new Christmas stamps from Purple Onion Designs and older ones in my craft stash. It wasn't until I pictured Mrs. Claus in her kitchen with The Bakers from last year's release that I felt I had a winning combo and I was finally able to fall asleep. So when I sat down to get crafty yesterday it was time to make my vision happen. Of course I also added the Baking Accessories and the candy canes from the Sweet Shop set into the mix and with a bit of masking I suddenly had a festive baking scene that is all kinds of cute. I gotta say, I love that the sizing of the character stamps at Purple Onion stay consistent, making them so easy to mix and match between the different collections. :)

Toodles!

Dear Santa...

Olo!

So yesterday the friends of Sweet November Stamps voted in a poll that I color up  Midnight's Light Show during my Facebook Live. I wanted to make sure I created something completely different from the first card I made using this naughty kitty so this time I paired him with the window and background in the Spring is Back Background Builder set. I also decided to play up the light show in Midnight's Light Show so I cropped off the end of the light strand and extended it a bit so that this one would look like it was still plugged in. That way I could really play up the lighting in a fun night scene. It was definitely a different look and I think everyone at the Live enjoyed watching it come together. After the Live ended I found the perfect sentiment to pull the whole scene together and just like that I had a finished card.  :)

Toodles!

Midnight's Christmas capers...

Hello friends!

Today we've got the final digital stamp release of 2022 at Sweet November Stamps and Midnight, the kitten is back in a collection called, Midnight's Christmas Adventures. There are four fun scenarios where this fluffy kitty is living his best nine lives this holiday season. In the shop you will find: Midnight's Mistletoe Surprise, Midnight and Santa, Midnight Oops Poinsettia and Midnight's Light Show.

For my first card I paired Midnight's Mistletoe Surprise with the fireplace and stockings from the older Scene Builder: Corner Room and Accessories digital set. I perched the kitties atop the super cropped in mantle with the mistletoe hanging just above that fireplace. It looks like that tabby is quite smitten with Midnight, don't you think? If you are interested in watching this scene being colored you can find the short Reel over on my Instagram or there is also the longer speed coloring video that can be found on the Sweet November Stamps Youtube channel.

Next, I paired Midnight and Santa with the door from The Door is Always Open digital set. It looks like this fluffy kitty is happy to see his favorite person return home after a long night of delivering gifts to all the good girls and boys.

For this one, I paired Mistletoe Oops Poinsettia with the window from the Christmas is Back digital set and the Gnome Home: Holiday Scene Builder can also be seen off in the distance. Oh dear, that is one naughty kitty!  :)

Finally, Midnight's Light Show was paired with the Christmas tree from The Door is Always Open digi set. He looks quite pleased with himself as he casually strolls away all wrapped up in the lights for the tree. Hopefully he doesn't break any bulbs, LOL!

Now be sure to check out the Friends of Sweet November Stamps group on Facebook for even more of Midnight's Christmas capers from Caitlin, Faye, Allison and Amanda. Don't forget, I will be coloring Live today at 11am PST over on my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page and I hope to see ya there!

You can also find us on Instagram @sweetnovemberstamps and don't forget to use the #sweetnovemberstamps any time you share a card or project using SN images so we can see all of your beautiful makes!
