This special day...
Hey there!
It's time to kick off previews for the June release at The Greeting Farm! There are three new clear sets coming out on Monday, the 15th.Today we are introducing the new Flutterby Anya to The Farm. This sweet girl is surrounded by delicate fluttering butterflies which inspired me to grab a bunch of the different potted plant digis that have been released in all the Build-A sets recently and crop off their pots so I could layer together a lovely butterfly garden that Flutterby Anya is using to attract all of her little visitors.
Now be sure to check out the TGF blog to see all of the beautiful cards from my fellow Farmers using the new Flutterby Anya. Then check back tomorrow for day two of previews. :)

Hello friends!
I've been itchin' to color up the new Ice Cream Truck from the Sunshine Lake release at Purple Onion and yesterday was finally the day for it. I've actually had this scene stamped up for weeks but for the longest time the long slimline had been feeling a bit daunting. Not so the last few days though and instead they have been relaxing to take on with all that coloring. Juliet, the bird at the picnic table and Marigold, the bunny with the triple scoop cone, are both part of the Sunshine Lake collection and made to go with the Ice Cream Truck but I really wanted the squirrel to be offering that ice cream cone to someone. So I started flipping through my stash of Purple Onion stamps and found not one but two cuties that would work. These two tiny mice are part of the Sweets image that is from the Twas the Night Before Christmas collection. The stamp has them begging cookies from their mama but I simply snipped the rubber stamp into three separate images for more versatility of use. I love how excited they look to be getting that ice cream now. For the background I used the Grassy Shore border stamp as well as the Lake Background again. Though this time because of the position of the large truck I was able to take some liberties with the lake and changed the shore line, leaving a bit of beach showing on the left by simply coloring the front part of the water as sand. I love how this totally changes to look of the stamp compared to my previous card using that lake. then I just finished the whole thing off with another great sentiment from the Sunshiny Sentiment set. Talk about a card that's just as sweet as can be. :)
Later gators!

New TGF digis and Build-a-Bedroom fun!
Hello, hello!
Today I'm on the Greeting Farm blog with some new digital sets that have just been added to the store. There is Book Ian, Tablet Anya and Laptop Anya who all come in these fun reclining poses. This makes them perfect to use with past Build-A sets like Movie Night, Bay Window, Build-a-Living Room and most especially... Build-a-Bedroom.
I was glad I had held off on making my Build-a-Bedroom cards so that I could do this slimline scene where I tucked Book Ian beneath the covers while Tablet Anya is browsing the web before bed time.
I also dug into my rubber stamp stash while I was at it and masked retired Snuddle Anya into another Build-a-Bedroom scene. She looks right at home in her bunny slippers ready to enjoy her favorite book... that is if her kitty will give up his comfy seat, LOL!
For my final Build-a-Bedroom card I couldn't resist getting a bit cheeky and masked the original Cheeky Glamour into her very own boudoir scene. I think this would make for a fun, tongue-in-cheek Valentine or Anniversary card.
But wait, that's not all! Marie has also released the new Park Lunch digi set today. These two cuties are taking in the fresh air and catching up over a quick lunch in the park. I also added Book Ian and Laptop Anya way in the background as well as a couple trees from the Food Truck set to really fill out this summer day in the park.
So if you have been waiting for more great digi characters to add to your cards, today is your lucky day... go get crafty!

Sunny smiles...
TGIF my friends!
These fun Beach Babes from Hello Bluebird were just what I needed to brighten an otherwise rather meh day. The two with the inflatables particularly caught my eye and I could just see them both floating out in the water without a care in the world. So I made sure not to ink up the bottom half of each stamp allowing me to color the water right up and over them. Then as I was looking at the set the little giggling pig could totally be plugging his nose while under water... so that's just what I did. I partially stamped him down at the bottom of the card in a lighter grey ink then colored the blue water right over top so he appears to be swimming under the water. Then I finished the scene with a sentiment borrowed from the Hippos on Holiday set and the distant gulls flying from the Seaside Girls set. I don't know about you but this one makes me smile. :)
Later gators!

Mertots are back...
Hello, hello!
Once again we are adding two new digis to the Sweet November Stamps store. I got so many requests last month to bring back the Mertots series that was started when I was with 7 Kids that I just had to pick back up where we left off. So even though May has come and gone you will find Mertots for both May and June available now. Being someone who completely understands Full Set Syndrome in this crafty world of ours I could never deny those wanting to get their hands on all twelve, LOL! ;)
Apparently the May Mertot got so tired of waiting to be added to the store that she nodded off in a bubble from a passing whale. She looks so at peace curled up with her plushie fish that it would be a shame to wake her up just to let her know she has made it to Sweet November Land. So sleep on little mermaid and keep dreaming big dreams.
The June Mertot has found herself a best friend who loves getting big hugs. Together these two besties love playing hide and seek amidst the kelp garden and going on grand adventures... just as long as they don't stray too far from the Mertot nursery.
Now be sure to go check out the Friends of Sweet November Stamps group on Facebook for even more Mertot release inspiration from Melissa, Tee and out fabulous guest designer... Amy Gould!
You can also find us on Instagram @sweetnovemberstamps and don't forget to use the #sweetnovemberstamps any time you share a card or project using SN images so we can see all of your beautiful makes!

Just keep swimming...
Hey there!
Yesterday I couldn't turn off the news all day. My heart hurts so much right now. To say that I wasn't in much of a crafty mood would be an understatement. Still, there came a point when I just had to turn off the TV for a bit and work through all of the different emotions that are filling me up right now and since coloring is very therapeutic for me I made myself sit down at my craft table and color. I didn't have it in me to stamp up a scene but luckily I tend to have a little stack of stamped scenes waiting for me on my desk that I can pull from. This sweet, simple scene was inked up weeks ago using just a handful of the smaller stamps from the recent Sunshine Lake release at Purple Onion. I paired the Cat Tails with one of the rocks from the Rock set then stamped little Coral three times to make a trio of ducklings swimming by. My original plan was for a much brighter and cheerier card but yesterday I needed soft and quiet. So I colored in a very hazy background using a limited color palette of very light markers. I like how it really pushes the little flock of ducklings into the foreground. The sentiment is positive and encouraging because hopefully we can all keep moving forward into a better future for all of us.
Take care my friends, let's be better about being kind to each other. ♥
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Catherine Pooler
stamps- Purple Onion Designs (Coral and Neptune, Cat Tails, Rock set), Papertrey Ink (sentiment)

Forever with you...
Hi there!
After my marathon of coloring over the past couple days, capped off by the Live yesterday, I was totally wiped the rest of the day. Once I left my craft room to go grab a late lunch I never went back in to even finish getting the coloring made into a card. But that's ok because I still have a few cards to play catch-up with from the past couple TGF releases. Like this one from April using the Forever With You set. I wanted to play around with a clean and simple and contained type of scene so I stamped this cute little couple into the corner of the card stock and framed them in with the tree trunk and branch. All of the background colors were left soft and kinda dreamy so they would blend out seamlessly into the white background. It's not my usual style but I do like how this one turned out. :)
Toodles!
