Wickedly Wonderful...

Hello, hello!

I've got another Halloween card to share today and this one is the end result of one of the Scene Progression Coloring Break Down series over on the Sweet November Stamps YouTube channel. This sassy sorceress is from the Lovin' from the Coven set, as are the extra potion bottles levitating in the air and I paired her with the cauldron from the Halloween Room Add On set. The wood floor was stamped in using the Simple Room Background Builder set and with that in place, the rest of this indoor scene came together quite easily. Lots of fun coloring techniques were covered during the course of this series so if you haven't checked it out yet, you may enjoy it when you have some spare time.  :)

Later gators!

Practically magic...

Good morning!

I figured today was a good time to share this Halloween card before the big day hits next week. It was colored during a release weekend Live over on my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page a couple months back. This lovely witch and her owl are part of the You Look Familiar set, as is that creeping vine I stamped behind them. I needed something for that vine to grow on so after masking it off I stamped the stone wall from the Background Builder: Halloween Room set and it made for the perfect siding on this witch's cottage. The Horizon Lines: Spookville set and Spookeville expansion set were both used to create the landscape in the distance while the happy jack o'lantern at her feet is from the Carve Out Some Fun set. It's always so satisfying to mix and match stamp sets and watch the images take on new life when paired with brand new stamps. The scene building potential simply multiplies with each set that is added into the mix!  :)

Ok, I'm off to a doctor appointment today so I best get going. Have a great day!

Dia de Los Muertos...

Hello there!

I'm up on the TGF blog and I was inspired to create a spooky twist with Anya in Mexico for my card today. With the Day of the Dead celebration only a couple weeks away I thought it would be fun to get Anya all dressed up for the festivities. Knowing that I was going to add the sugar skull inspired face paint to Anya, I wiped the ink away from her wide open smile before stamping. This left me with the blank space that I needed to color on a new mouth and add the decorative skull detailing. For the pattering I Googled pictures of Dia de Los Muertos face paint which really helped me make it look authentic. For the colors in her costume I went with the traditional Halloween orange, purple and green combo with just a touch of teal to brighten things up. I used these same colors on all of the sugar skulls that I stamped and masked into a jumbled pile behind Anya as well. In the background I used a small moon stencil with my Copic markers, to shine down on this Day of the Dead beauty. The dark grey sky and trees add to the supernatural feel of this colorful yet creepy scene.    :)

Thanks so much for stopping by and stay crafty my friends!

More Cozy Fall Critters...

Hello again!

I'm back with a couple more cards featuring adorable forest animals from the new Cozy Fall Critters digital release is now available at Sweet November Stamps. The first one, featuring Ridley Raccoon was colored yesterday morning during my Live over on the Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page. Later in the afternoon I was able to sit down and color Flyn Fox into a colorful Fall scene as well.

So after a tight vote yesterday, Ridley Raccoon won out with the viewers and was chosen to be the star of the Live coloring. We went over things like techniques for coloring fur, creating the bright shine of a rising sun and all and all just had a really great time. So much so, that I decided to do another Live coloring this morning as well, using Beckett Bear who was the runner up from the vote.

Next, I spent some time coloring up Flyn Fox who appears to be out on a hike. Perched atop the Forest Stump, Flyn is taking in the view overlooking the colorful canopy of the forest below when a flock of geese from the Horizon Lines: Birch Trees set, go flying south for the winter.  :)

Alright, so like I said, I will be coloring Live again, today at 11am PST over on my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page... hopefully you will be able to join me!

Toodles!

Fall Greetings...

Hello friends!

The new Cozy Fall Critters digital release is now available at Sweet November Stamps and it includes six adorable forest animals all bundled up against the cold as well as a new Tree Home background. You can find Flyn Fox, Hadley Hedgehog, Riley Rabbit, Ridley Raccoon, Chandler Chipmunk and Beckett Bear all in the shop.

For my card today I've created a Fall scene for Riley Rabbit to live in using a mix of digi and clear stamps. The big bush is actually the top of the tree from the Troll Bridge Background Builder set and I added some of the Honeycup mushrooms by Riley's feet. Once the scene was printed out I stamped the Birch Trees in the distance and started coloring. He looks so jaunty as he makes his way through the forest. I then added one of the sentiments from the Fall is in the Air set to the bottom corner and called this one complete. :)

Now be sure to check out the Friends of Sweet November Stamps group on Facebook for even more cozy fall cards from Caitlin, Lisa, Allison and Amanda. Don't forget, I will be coloring Live today at 11am PST over on my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page and I hope to see ya there!

You can also find us on Instagram @sweetnovemberstamps and don't forget to use the #sweetnovemberstamps any time you share a card or project using SN images so we can see all of your beautiful makes!

A little witch in all of us...

Hi there!

I'm up on the Bellariffic blog today with one final Halloween card for Scenic Saturday. This time around I grabbed the Witches 3 stamp but I wanted to change it up and focus on just one of the witches. To make that happen I decided to pair her with the retired Fall Window stamp so she could be peeking in with a Halloween hello. I began building this scene by inking up the Fall Window and wiping away the outdoor part of the stamp so it would be a blank space inside the frame. Next, I masked off the edges of the window and stamped the curly haired witch in the bottom corner at a slight angle. Because I had to wipe the ink away from the arm of the middle witch on the original image, that left some blank space on her shoulder that I had to draw back in using a black multi liner pen. With the witch back in full form it was time to mask her off and stamp the missing background in the center of the window right over top. From there all I had to do was start coloring the witch, window, floor and outdoor night scene before adding the curtains and masking everything again. Using a brick wall stencil and the Copic airbrush system I was able to quickly add some cool detailing to the indoor part of this scene. One of the sentiments from the Spooky Sentiment set was the final finishing touch to complete this fun take on a witchy Halloween card.  :)

Stay crafty my friends!

Not a basic witch...

TGIF!

So I'm finally getting around to sharing this card that I colored during a Live over on my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page a few weeks ago. It was during the Haunted Manor Portraits digital release at Sweet November Stamps. This particular villainess is the Marchioness Serpentina Veleno and she is looking quite stately with her pet vipers encircling her. As all the various color suggestions came together on her I remember someone mentioning that Serpentina looked like she could be a character out of the Disney Jungle Cruise movie and I have to agree. This card definitely ended up having that mysterious jungle vibe and I kinda love it!

I will be back tomorrow with a new Fall digital release and more Live coloring. Hope you can join me then!
